星期天的晚上又走到九龙城去, 突然二人都想去吃泰国菜...所以就去了平日我们觉得average比较好的这间店子。我们点了一个咖哩炒青口、蒜蓉包、马拉盏椰菜苗、虾胶皮蛋, 另外一人一个饮品。今天的食物来得有点慢, 最早上菜的竟然是椰菜苗, 最搞笑是吃完整个椰菜苗都未上到其他的菜。椰菜苗份量OK, 菜一点都不苦, 炒得都几香几好味, 热辣辣咁拎出黎, 定必是即叫即炒的~咖哩炒青口 - 本身我地系想叫咖哩炒蚬的, 但系冇哂蚬所以就退而求其次啦, 虽然青口比较逊色, 不过胜在份量够多, 一碟好似有成8只, 一人有4只呢! 我喜欢吃这里的炒咖哩是因为那个咖哩不太辣, 而且有加蛋花, 成个咖哩会滑好多, 当然, 我最爱的就是以炒咖哩的酱汁沾上香脆惹味的蒜蓉包去吃啦! 这是我每一次必然的食法呢! 虾胶皮蛋 - 很多时来到这店子都会叫的食品, 因为在其他的泰国菜馆比较少见这道菜, 而这店子的皮蛋其实都几香几好食, 又想像不到原来皮蛋跟虾丸混合起来的味道也不错呢! 有机会去的朋友可以试试看啊!最后饮品, 味道正常, 贪佢有买一送一又大大杯! 就算吃多一点辣咖哩都没问题喇! 继续阅读

是晚提早同爸爸食生日饭.食泰菜, 当然首选九龙城! 但由于同父母前来, 环境不能太差.所以决定黎籽苗叶试试.预早已经订好位, 一行6人, 被安排坐一张圆枱~餐厅星期一至五有8折, 星期六日有85折 (套餐都有得折, 但蟹类就冇折扣)叫了小食拼盘 ($145)有春卷, 香叶包鸡, 虾饼, 鱼饼, 每款3件 (全部一开二) , 适合多人分享~热辣辣, 好香口.  虾酱通菜鲜尤 ($62)一上枱已经好香阵阵虾酱味. 但又唔会太咸青芒果沙律($50) D青芒果切成一条条, 好爽口, 酸酸辣辣,正.酸辣去骨凤爪 ($50)又一酸辣菜式, 冻冻地, 好食, 但如果可以林D会更好.炸软报蟹 ($108)炸蒜味好香, 即叫即炸, 热辣辣, 一碟有8至9件咖哩炒蟹 ($218 冇得折)呢样𩠌最快上枱, 应该系煮定...但幸好都够热, 系肉蟹一大只, 6人分享, 刚好每人一件. 个汁好好食, 唔太辣, 好香, 另外仲点了蒜容包($24 = 6件)同簿饼($24=6块) 点汁食.甜酸炒金边粉 ($52) 有好多鸡肉同蛋丝. 算系好足料.饮品买一送一 (约$34) 最后, 当然系食生日蛋糕. 订位时, 已经问左, 切蛋糕不收切饼费 ! 侍应亦主动帮我地清枱, 同埋俾碟同义我地.仲一人附上一杯热茶.服务好好.最后, 大家都好满意呢一餐. 有下次~埋单: $8XX = 6人 继续阅读

We visited Lemon Basil with a big group and had a decent meal.We opted to have Thai iced tea, somtam, laab and pad kee mao.  The dishes always tell you a lot about any Thai restaurant and here they sung the praises of Lemon Basil.The tea was OK, but there are better tea places out there (but seriously, who judges a restaurant on their tea??).  The somtam, which we asked to be spared of little shrimp, was really flavourful.  We ordered everything phet mak mak (very spicy), and the heat was pretty strong.  The flavours were good and the green papaya's acidity was balanced well with the sweet and spicy dressing and peanuts.  The laab (we ordered minced pork - laab moo) was spot on.  The flavour profiles were exactly the same as the ones in Thailand (we used to live there and this is a real favourite of ours).  Spicy, sweet, sharp and umami; the pork and soy bean grounds with citrus and chili against the cooling lettuce leaves is a match made in heaven.  I could eat this all day.The pad kee mao (literally sh*t drunk noodles) is an awesome dish when done right, and they made a pretty good attempt at it here.  The flavours were really good and it was full of birdseye chilis (though not as many as you would get in Thailand).  The idea is that the dish should be so spicy it cures your hangover or sobers you up.  Despite the flavours being almost on the money, they didn't use the correct noodles.  Pad kee mao should have flat wide(ish) noodles, but here they use thin round noodles.  It was fine, but the mouth feel of the noodles is part of the experience. The service was hectic, but good and the owner was on hand to supervise everything.  Our dishes were as we requested them and pretty authentic.  Our total bill came to 191 HKD including service and tax.  I would certainly recommend Lemon Basil based on what we ate there. 继续阅读

朋友提议到九龙城食泰国菜, 但要求坐得舒服, 这个要求并不容易.由于时间尚早, 四处逛逛, 惊见'小曼谷'未够六点已经人头涌涌(是日为星期六); 反而见隔离'籽苗叶'仲有好多位, 决定一试.'籽苗叶'简洁的装修, 左边一排有梳化的二/四人台, 右边则有三四张大圆台, 台与台之间有足够空间, 并不焗促.先来一客活虾刺身, 虾够新鲜及大只, 卖相相当不俗, 几好.沙爹 - 拣了猪鸡各三串, 入口不会韧, 味道不错, 典型的串烧, 无特别.虾饼 - 够厚身够大粒, 虾肉有少少弹牙, 炸得刚刚好, 不错.椰青海鲜饭 - 是晚最不讨好的菜式. 完全食不到椰青味, 只是一堆炒白饭; 海鲜方面鱿鱼最多, 虾少量, 青口两只. 失望!本来想叫咖哩蚬, 但是晚无蚬, 惟有转叫青咖哩羊肉. 青咖哩可谓完全不辣, 略嫌羊肉数量较少, 一般. 惟有食多几块蒜蓉包沾咖哩汁. 蒜蓉包反而几好, 每块都铺满蒜蓉.点了两杯尝到果肉的芒果沙冰, 好饮!很奇怪是晚星期六仍不满座, 但都有九成满. 服务方面是OK的, 但明显不够人手(当所有食物已上台但我杯沙冰仍在制作中).观乎今餐的水准, 除了椰青饭较差之外其他都不错, 绝对合格有余; 加上坐得舒适及埋单有折(星期一至日都有但不同折扣), 我很满意. 继续阅读

入九龙城当然要食泰国野,是日星期日晚上7点几,行到去小曼谷个头见到有两三间都劲多人排队,为左肚饿既肚dum著想,就求其拣一间无人排队而又仲有位架啦。有一间叫籽苗叶泰国餐厅,见佢装修都ok,又有冷气,企系出面见menu都ok咁就推门入去。入到去有小小up味,好小姐。都差唔多有8成full左,而我地2个人就坐一个面壁位,正对住玻璃窗,对住出面行黎行去既人。见到无人等位都有小小惊中伏。睇下menu先,先见到饮品买一送一,椰青啤酒除外,可以任拣,咁就要左杯椰汁三色冰同一杯椰汁红豆冰。野食就要左串烧,鸡猪牛每样各2串,烧猪颈肉同一个大虾粉丝煲。椰汁三色冰同一杯椰汁红豆冰上先,普普通通,暂未中伏。之后串烧就到左,送过黎既时候好香好香,流哂口水。先试猪,点一点咖哩酱,唔辣,一d都唔辣,返而带出左肉味,好夹。鸡都唔错,牛就失色左小小。之后猪颈肉都到左,薄薄的一片,咬落去边位好脆,再点埋附上既有小小沙茶酱味既辣酱,小小辣,食得好过引,好快就俾我地食哂。好彩都唔洗中伏!我爱猪颈肉!主角等左几耐先上,只不过系虾同粉丝,洗唔洗煮咁耐?!总共有3只大虾,每只都有糕的,d虾糕好鲜好香!但d粉丝真系麻麻地,好大阵胡椒味,好似饮紧胡椒汤咁,连我呢个咁爱好粉丝既人都无食哂,净左好多。呢个主角好似要成百五蚊,有d唔抵。。。。总结系,配菜好味过主角好多,会再黎,但要拣过第二个主菜! 继续阅读
