题外话/补充资料: 分量都算大,擺盤都算靚,不過店內日式氣氛不算濃。不知為何,冷氣好足,去過2次都有相容感受,希望店家可以改善下。對食物幾滿意。會是臨時喺中環要請客食飯嘅首選餐廳!

友人突來中環與我午膳,沒有訂位,幸好我們只兩人,很幸運的找到鐵板枱。原本想吃清一點,吃點壽司,但真不敵鐵板的香味,於是我們點了一客壽司,一客西冷。先來一小碗沙律,新鮮清爽。壽司份量足,也算新鮮,海鮮是很大路的組合,未見時令魚類,不過不失,但又沒有想回頭再吃的東西。(6/10)西冷看比吃好。五成熟,顏色合格,但味道普通。旁邊那塊魚又硬,又冇甚味道。反而鐵板炒飯很好吃。(6/10)麵豉湯都是一般的麵豉湯。原來杯綠茶是$20一杯,中式酒樓收茶錢嗎?裝修環境是不錯的,價錢在中環區算合理,但食物水準一般而已。如果我請日本人吃飯,不會來此。

Went to Rei for lunch. Was seated at the bar table, which overlooks the view of the Victoria Habour. Had the sushi set, which includes a choice of 8 sushi and a nori roll, along with a bowl of warm udon and fresh salad. The ingredients are fresh and seasonal. Especially the uni, which has a very creamy and rich texture. The salmon fish roe is also very flavorsome, with a slight saltiness and sweetness that retains in the mouth. The ingredients are fresh and seasonal. Especially the uni, which has a very creamy and rich texture. The salmon fish roe is also very flavorsome, with a slight saltiness and sweetness that retains in the mouth. Some seasonal sushi are also served, including the snapper and Hokkigai.

The quality is good and the portion is generous. 
Was overall impressed by the meal.

book window side所以等左一陣坐window卡位都自成一角價錢中位數食材比較新鮮生吞拿魚飯都ok,但我個人唔好吞拿魚個鱈魚淡左少少普通,冇咩特別可能比較好食同有特色既食物今次冇叫到,但生野係幾鮮美ge!

來到餐廳,所有佈置主要為木做主題,充滿日本風格先來熱sake,味道有酒香亦帶米的甜香安格斯牛肉薄燒配炒雜菜。半生熟的牛肉薄燒得很腍,但未夠香還帶點油膩龍蝦燒得剛剛好,肉質仍有彈性但不至於太韌,蝦肉味夠濃帶子好大隻,配上肉汁夠鮮甜, 燒銀雪表皮香脆,肉質金黃嫩滑,不帶半點腥味!

四月九日(星期三)四月的沖繩之旅前,在港仍然是日食,來到IFC的礼 Rei哈,朋友也笑說小丸子是個不節不扣的哈日族同事說這裡的天婦羅不錯,不多考慮便選了天婦羅烏冬定食在國金,加上可以看到窗外維港景緻,價錢是可預期的不便宜看看餐牌,隨了選好了天婦羅烏冬,各式各樣的定食也有供應,價錢由$200起,刺身類之定食則再貴一點點餐後,發覺侍者沒有送上綠茶,原來綠茶要加$20,是另點的!!!先試烏冬,沒有彈牙口感,質素只一般而天婦羅則不俗,特別是蝦天婦羅,炸漿不厚又炸得乾身不油,蝦肉非常爽口鮮甜唯蕃薯卻過硬,較難入口整體上,以這價錢來說,質素只覺一般,大概,付的錢都用來替付租金了~在中環區,日食選擇還是多的是,下次還是寧可走遠一點,可以找到更高質素價錢更相宜的~

先試烏冬,沒有彈牙口感,質素只一般
而天婦羅則不俗,特別是蝦天婦羅,炸漿不厚又炸得乾身不油,蝦肉非常爽口鮮甜
唯蕃薯卻過硬,較難入口

整體上,以這價錢來說,質素只覺一般,大概,付的錢都用來替付租金了~
在中環區,日食選擇還是多的是,下次還是寧可走遠一點,可以找到更高質素價錢更相宜的~

This is my second attempt here at Aldente, and I would say that the first time seemed much better or maybe it was just my faulty memory of how the food tasted here. But anyways, these were the dishes my family ordered to share with:Beef Carpaccio- Were thinly sliced, fresh, but not cold enough therefore it did not taste its best. If some people can’t take the raw flavor of the meat, squeezing some lemon juice on top may help eliminate that taste.Italian thin crust pizza with rocket and parma ham

Italian thin crust pizza with rocket and parma ham- The pizza was still warm when served but immediately cooled down after only a few minutes, the taste and the amount of ingredients on it was decent. The crust was thin and crispy. Good tasting pizza when it was still hot.

Pan Seared Foie Gras with grilled green apple slices- The foie Gras was well done, they used a plum sauce which gave the dish the sweetness it needed to balance off the oiliness of the foie gras. At first I had a higher expectation for this dish, but after my first bite I knew it was just another ordinary dish you could find at any other places that serves foie gras.

Lobster & shrimp Angel Hair- At first I thought the sauce would be in an orange color since it’s a lobster dish, but rather I tasted more of the shrimp than the lobster. The pasta was aldente when served, the outer layer of the pasta was still crisp and crunchy, but after a while the pasta soaked up the sauce and became soft which it shouldn’t be. The seafood was fresh but its natural flavors were being covered by the rich and creamy white sauce. This would be a nice dish for the ladies.

Overall an average Italian restaurant, big portions too so it’s better to share. Would be nice for a visit, but maybe not twice.

As a Japanese food lover, I personally admire the sashimi here. Especially the Prime Toro they have here, even though the price is a bit overpriced (but I myself think that it’s worth every penny you spend here at REI). Each piece of these babies are packed with fat as you can see, the lines of the fat looks beautiful and it just screams for people to eat them! The meat just melted in my mouth, I thought I was up in heaven for a moment (It was that good)The sushi platter on the other side taste

The sushi platter on the other side taste quite funny, each piece of sushi taste kind of weird for me and I did not really know which types of fish each sushi was, maybe because it was called “creative” sushi platter by the chef therefore they really made some “creatively weird” tasting sushi for us…. But the more original ones tasted quite good and fresh after all.

Rei Japanese Cuisine, is a modernly classic Japanese restaurant (part of the Epicurean group…I’ve done a review on one of their sister establishments…iL Posto. with a dazzling view of the harbour all nestled inside the gigantic IFC. Deliciously marbled, fatty Wagyu beef….it’s lightly seared on an extremely hot surface. It’s soft, juicy, tender, fatty, buttery, meaty, and amazing. It practically melts on top of your mouth.

Menu:

Pretty comprehensive. They serve what you'd expect from most Japanese restaurants, sushi sets, sashimi sets, tempura, various types of don sets, beef sets and teppenyaki sets.

The teppenyaki sets looked interesting but since it was our first time here, I decided to order their signature set, the Rei Special Lunch Set.

Two thick slices for each of the following:

Salmon:
No complaints. Pretty fresh and thick;
Hamachi: I'd give this 75/100 (I have a lower standard when it comes to sashimi when compared with my wife); and
Chu toro: (I though it's 75/100 but my wife though it's just 60/100 because of the tendons).

The wasabi wasn't the toothpaste one but not too fresh.

They only had one type of shoyu available for everything - i.e. not a special one for sashimi, which wasn't too professional considering an Izakaya like Doraya also uses it. Kosyu took it one step further - they chilled their sushi shoyu, which is even more professional.

Salad: A few slices of cabbage with sliced tomato and some ponzu. Ok

Tempura: Two shrimps , one piece of white bodies fish and one shiitake. The shrimp was too salty.
 Somehow it got the impression that the shrimps were frozen ones. They might have been defrosted in salt water. Not very appealing at all. 

The batter for each tempura was crispy but oily. Not recommended. 


Two pieces of eel: The sauce was too overwhelmingly sweet. One piece of eel was as hard as rubber. The other small piece was slightly better. When it comes to Unagi , I only trust Kosyu.

The udon which I paid HK$40 for was really average stuff. Not very different from instant udon packs. The soup might be home made. It's less salty than most instant unob packs. Nevertheless, definitely Not worth $40.

All in all, at HK$298 (plus service and $40 for the udon) the set is overpriced.

She ordered well done.

According to her, the beef was quite good. However, too much mustard was placed on top of the beef.

I tried the rice of that set. It was not bad. Didn't taste like Japanese pearl rice though, it tasted like Mainland vareity. (HK$230)

Conclusion:

The bill came down to HK$647 including HK$20 for tea plus 10% service. Ouch.

If it wasn't for the friendly service, I would have given this place a crying face because of my tempura set.

在九龍上班,很少在中環吃飯, 今天在中環開會, 難得可以在中環吃飯。  選了國金的禮, 享受一餐悠閒的午餐。 我特別喜歡這裡的香煎銀雪魚, 回味無窮, 每每回想起來, 口水都流。 壽司的水平也不錯, 但同樣價錢可以很多更好的選擇。 香港的壽司水平越來越高, 選擇也越多, 不思進取很快就會被淘汰。 喝著一杯日本茶, 望著美麗的海景,住在香港能隨時享受美景美食, 真是人生快事。

壽司的水平也不錯, 但同樣價錢可以很多更好的選擇。 香港的壽司水平越來越高, 選擇也越多, 不思進取很快就會被淘汰。

好同事離職, 選了這間在IFC內的日本餐廳吃farewell午餐, 希望她之後一切順利吧~ 可能因為人多的關係, 餐廳準備了一間在餐廳盡頭的房間供我們一行9人用餐呢, 畢竟是走高級餐廳的路線, 這裡的環境寬敞, 座位也頗舒適。一坐下侍應便問我們要茶/水, 我們都選了茶(後來才知道原來茶是要收費的, 位位$20)。而由於我們一早已選好食物, 所以坐下不久所有食品都已送上, 不知道如果我們是即時點餐會不會需要等候很久呢~是日我選了$269一份的三文魚子海膽飯定食, 有前菜沙津和一碗烏冬。 食品味道不錯, 海膽是鮮甜的, 三文魚子的份量也可以, 可是飯的味道淡而不香, 似乎沒有下足夠的壽司飯的醋, 那飯也不太像是日本米, 有點鬆散, 破壞了那一整口鮮甜海膽應帶來的滿足感...可惜可惜前菜和沙津是一般日本餐廳的質素, 反而烏冬不俗有彈性, 簡單一份烏冬配合清甜的昆布清湯, 清新而富有口感, 為這個餐挽回一些分數飯後詢問其他同事, 大家都覺得食品不錯, 還可以, 所以都給一個笑臉吧~

是日下午二時許,上司邀請我一起吃午餐,以方便繼續傾談工事,我只要求吃熱食,畢竟今天天氣太涼,況且午飯時段仍要談公事,實在沒有心機選擇吃甚麼,於是上司決定,帶我來了這間日本餐廳。由等位到被安排座位這段大約十分鐘的時間內,無論是RECEPTION或是侍應生也十分有禮貌及笑容,實在替沒精打彩的我添了點生氣 午餐的選擇頗多,花了點時間,最後點了自選午餐,包括刺身、沙律、麵豉湯、前菜及飯 $230。這裡的茶是需要自付的,我點了麥茶。麥茶 $10:沒想像中那種麥香,有點像一般清茶~刺身:意想不到的新鮮,wasabi應該是自家磨的,很清香,豉油也不會太咸或太甜,這樣的調味配合刺身一起吃,實在美味無窮,有點後悔沒有點壽司吃... 沙律:沙律菜配日式醋,不過不失~麵豉湯:咸度剛好,豆府滑滑的,不錯~洋蔥蒜香豚肉溫泉蛋飯:先吃洋蔥,很香口;豚肉想不到是半肥瘦,切得很薄,不會太熟,入口很有口感,亦有很香豚肉味!立刻被吸引了將醬汁飯一起吃,飯很有咬口,是珍珠飯,可惜太濕,味道太咸,拖誇了原先很有驚喜的感覺! 溫泉蛋有點像港式溏心蛋,沒有太香的蛋味,或許是因為被濃香的洋蔥蒜蓉汁蓋過了吧!懷著工作的心情來到這裡、

洋蔥蒜香豚肉溫泉蛋飯:先吃洋蔥,很香口;豚肉想不到是半肥瘦,切得很薄,不會太熟,入口很有口感,亦有很香豚肉味!立刻被吸引了將醬汁飯一起吃,飯很有咬口,是珍珠飯,可惜太濕,味道太咸,拖誇了原先很有驚喜的感覺!
溫泉蛋有點像港式溏心蛋,沒有太香的蛋味,或許是因為被濃香的洋蔥蒜蓉汁蓋過了吧!

懷著工作的心情來到這裡、遇上了態度很好的員工、喝到沒驚喜卻要付$10的麥茶、美味無窮的刺身、淡淡清香的麵豉湯、很有驚喜的洋蔥蒜香豚肉、太濕太咸的珍珠飯... 這裡真的讓人又愛又恨!

有機會再來必定要試壽司或魚生飯呢!

每人先來一客沙律,因肚子餓的關係,我們倆都沒有分清哪一個沙律屬於哪一個晚餐便開始吃了。器皿設計精緻,其中一隻碟子呈淺藍及半透明。沙律主要是生菜和蕃茄,生菜爽脆,蕃茄鮮甜,兩者都冰凍新鮮,配上淡淡的果醋,帶出蔬菜的鮮味。

鐵板燒晚餐

鐵板燒晚餐的其中兩項主菜到了,大蝦燒得剛剛好熟,肉質仍有彈性但不至於太韌,而且夠乾身,蝦肉味夠濃,彈牙亦有口感。燒銀雪魚香氣四溢,表皮香脆,肉質金黃,味道甜美,不帶半點腥味,肉汁亦充足。

下一道主菜燒安格斯牛柳到了,共有6件,它們都充滿光澤。我們選擇了薄切,7成熟,這要求完全做到了。師傅的火喉調較得非常準確,能鎖住肉汁,而牛肉軟腍,只須輕輕咀嚼已經能夠令肉汁在口腔內爆發,牛脂適中,油份在口腔迥蕩,並在舌頭上慢慢融化,絕對是一種享受。每件牛肉皆卷住了蔥粒,但蔥沒有腥味,亦不會蓋過牛肉味。執在牛肉底下的麵包主要作用是吸去油份,而麵包有一個”禮”字的烙印。

炒野菜以芽菜為主,夾雜少許棷菜絲和洋蔥絲,菜絲不太油膩,咀嚼時感爽口,亦不帶草青味。

煙肉炒飯的珍珠米炒得粒粒金黃,米粒閃閃發光,食材簡單,包括蛋花、煙肉及蔥花,但它們能協調出炒飯應有的味道。鑊氣夠,炒飯熱呼呼的,而同樣亦不太油膩。

壽司烏冬晚餐

壽司拼盤是用透明的玻璃碟盛載,共有十件壽司。我們先把山葵放進豉油攪拌,看見山葵一點一點的慢慢溶化,就像一個奇妙的化學作用。

我們急不及待把火焰拖羅壽司放進咀裡去,它外表半熟,被火焰輕輕燙過,內裡仍是生的,脂肪肥美,把它放在舌頭上,徽暖的拖羅慢慢在舌面上溶化,即使它溶化後,拖羅的鮮甜味仍停留在舌頭上,令人回味無窮。

三文魚燒得熟了一點,吃的時候有點像吃三文魚扒的感覺,味道甜美,肉汁豐富。

魷魚稍為燒過,肉質更爽脆,亦不至於太堅韌;我們不知道另一款魚(左下角)的名字,但它的味道有點像斑類的魚。

中間四件卷物質地結實,包住了蛋和鰻魚,鰻魚味道香濃。

三文魚子拖羅蓉壽司的三文魚子香甜,汁液在口中爆發,香味不停迥蕩。拖羅蓉油脂充足,令人感到滑溜,陣陣拖羅味甘香。

最後在三文魚子拖羅蓉壽司旁的壽司名字不詳,只見魚生切得非常薄,晶瑩剔透,味道較為清,但無論如何它亦是美味的。

昆布烏冬熱騰騰,蒸氣不停升起。湯底淡黃色,而且很清澈,沒有油份。烏冬雪白滑溜,每一條的粗幼幾乎相同,麵粉味不太重,嫰滑易入口,即使在湯內浸得久了亦不會發脹,份量非常多,令我們感到十分飽肚。

最後來一客甜品,可以選綠茶雪糕或黑芝麻雪糕,而我們皆選了黑芝麻雪糕。味道不太濃郁,不太特別。另外,很多中價的日本餐廳上雪糕時會用預先雪藏的器皿,避免雪糕太快便融掉,但這兒的器皿保持在室溫,令雪糕融化得十分快,我只吃了一半但整個雪糕球已融掉。

服務方面,雖然這兒一個晚餐最低消費近$500,但不要期望有值$500的服務。第一,侍應常出錯,會不止一次把不屬於你枱號的食物上枱,然後發現錯了再把食物拿給正確的客人。第二,這兒的女服務員說話不太端莊,儀態亦欠奉,就像較早前電視節目描述的”唔開口就中環,一開口就旺角”。例如,她給我們上燒野菜時會邊行邊說”個菜呀!”,然後放下。

吃飽了,我們邊坐邊傾談,分享過去一個星期工作的苦與樂,看看維港兩岸海景,又或看看鐵板燒師傅的熟練表演,把火焰弄至整個人的高度,簡直出神入化。

最後當然要謝謝你請客!
