Went to this Chinese resto recommended by my friend for the dinner gathering with my secondary school econ teacher before her retirement. .We ordered the following dishes to share:-Marinated Platter (Sliced Beef Shank, Pork Knuckle and Jelly Fish)The Sliced Beef Shank and Pork Knuckle were evenly sliced with a balanced ratio of fat and meat. The Jelly Fish had an aromatic sesame oil flavour. -Deep-fried Minced Shrimp on ToastThe fresh shrimp paired well with the crunchy deep-fried toast. It was not greasy at all. -Peedan Eggs with Sliced GingerThe Peedan Eggs had a runny yolk, complemented by sliced ginger which reduced their pungency, making them enjoyable. -Whole Roasted Duck in Pipa-styleThe duck was well-seasoned with a pretty red skin which was crispy. Its flesh was incredibly tender and meaty. -Boneless Sweet and Sour PorkNot particularly memorable compared to other dishes. -Sautéed Minced Pigeon Served with LettuceThe combination of minced pigeon and lettuce helped reduce the greasiness of the meat. -Baked Rice with Minced Beef in Tomato Sauce The baked rice was served piping hot and the tomato sauce was overwhelming. .We were able to dine in a more hidden area, allowing us to converse and catch up with each other more easily in a quieter environment. 继续阅读

事缘之前在点心专门店吃了不好食的点心,对于美味点心的渴求即时大涨,决定再到益新饮茶。热辣辣的虾饺和烧卖非常滋味,无需巧立名目,传统正宗的就是最好!凤爪没有雪味,十分软嫩。春风得意肠的肠粉滑溜极致,虾春卷还食到颗颗虾肉!煎酿尖椒的鱼肉丰腴,可惜尖椒稍微煎得未够透,略为失准。椒盐广岛蚝就出色得多,只只肥大饱满,蚝味甚为突出,蘸少许椒盐或豉油,一级棒!肉丝炒面份量超足,脆面底恰到好处,不会炸过了头。肉丝和韮王是海量的,肉多过面,要找面吃!和著的汁是面和肉的桥梁,浓杰适中,完全无得输!不能不提的是店员的服务又快又好,值得一赞! 继续阅读

老公放假,想食琵琶鸭,一定去湾仔新益,旧舖是在铜锣湾,当年拍拖已帮衬,仍然记得当年是一班老伙记。下午一时多到达,因即兴没有订位,幸好还有一张枱, 开了普洱茶,一如以往那么顺滑。 两个人点菜不能吃下太多,叫了半只琵琶鸭皮脆肉嫩,梅菜包味道可口,包是不会黏口的,斑片粥真的超好食,很多斑片,粥底绵滑很香米味,三宝肠粉可吃齐叉烧虾及牛肉三款,个最后来个甜品芝麻卷及马豆糕。工作人员态度很好,很细心,是一顿愉快的午餐 继续阅读

近来经常过海,湾仔更是往日工作之地,因此若情况许可也会在附近找过往有好感的食肆用膳。以往经常满座的情况似乎有所改变 ,以现时的市况大概也是如此。虾饺皮厚薄适中兼带靭性,可惜调味过于重手掩盖了虾的鲜味。鲜鱿如同虾饺,「师傅」下得有点重手,令味道千篇一律。灌汤饺的皮与记忆中的稍为不同,传统的黄皮变了白面皮,少了韧性但比较柔软。从相片可知,饺内没有灌入满满汤汁,反而跟印像中的传统灌汤饺十分相似。雪山叉烧包上枱时大概是新鲜出炉,因此十分松软,叉烧馅咸甜适中,只是略嫌有点小贵。三宝肠是牛肉、叉烧及鲜虾。一碟肠粉有三种不同配料十分划算,而且三种食材都尝出各自的本味,肠粉也拉得柔软是本次午茶的最佳点心。 继续阅读

今天特别想请2位日本朋友吃经典广东菜, 所以去湾仔益新美食馆,不止名不虚传, 而且物有所值。 首先, 素鸡和窝荀丝拼海蜇, 本来没太太想法。 喜出望外, -试已非常惊喜和清新。 很惊喜有「百花酿蟹钳」, 比饮喜酒时五星酒店的还美味。 另外咸鱼蒸肉饼, 送饭首选。 盐焗鸡肉嫩又美味,在市面上很难见到。 最惊喜陈皮莲子红豆, 陈皮味简值是一绝!食材和用料基本上都是很好,怪不得出品那么优秀。 服务也非常到位, 感恩!虽然装修已有一段日子, 但也不影响体验。 继续阅读
