This a late review, but realized I had not made a review. I am from Canada and I frequent Hong Kong. Last summer, I chose to work over the summer in Hong Kong. I ended having to spend my birthday away from my home and family. However, I still wanted to celebrate my birthday and I decided to celebrate it with a group of friends that I met over the summer. I had trouble finding a good place to go eat. I usually prefer Korean food, however, Korean food in Hong Kong is not that great. Therefore, I opted out to try out Japanese food (as it is better in Hong Kong compared to Canada). I had booked in advance for a large group. Fortunately, they were able to fit us even though places are usually packed or are small. They gave us basically the entire 2nd floor XD. My friends and I were greatly pleased by the ambience as it was comfortable (kinda chilly tho) and the service was very satisfying. The pricing was decent for Japanese food (affordable). The food was great. Though not necessarily amazing, it was perfect for the occasion of my birthday and very delicious for my stomach. I had gotten a curry udon and a bit of sashimi. It was a good balance as I like noodles, yet I still wanted some sashimi (but wasn't totally in the mood for sushi necessarily.) They had a nice array of choices for both vegetarians and meat lovers. In addition, they were very flexible and had many combos (which I love XD).Overall, there was nothing that I could remember, other than it being chilly (which is typical of Hong Kong), that was bad.  继续阅读

最近我的很沉迷在找寻家庭式的料理,对我来说家庭式的料理才可以深入了解该国家的文化及特式了吧。好比说如果日本的食物代表是寿司和天妇罗,我们可以知道原来日本因为四面环海而得出他们比其他的国家有更多的海产了。天妇罗也是抽取于西方炸的方式而结合,也很能代表日本人很有创意的特点哦。(扯得很远就是哈哈。)又是一直都经过这餐厅很多次的了!!!又是一次又一次的错过,今次又终于把起勇气(?) 和决心去探访了!虽说两星期前我去吃了日式家庭料理可是这个好像是打著妈妈做的口味。我不是日本人也不知道日本妈妈做的口味是什么。不过我在日本银座倒有尝试过一个很友善的大妈做的定食,真的超好吃。希望ママごはん (mama gohan) 可以带给我同样的感动吧。餐厅不是太大, 格局是偏暗的。附近也有几个日本人用餐(这个有少许加强我的信任度,至少日本人也会在这里用餐哦。)menu 看似选择很多其实都是差不多的食物再夹杂不同的套餐。我最后选择了铁锅咖哩芝士奄列饭 (不确定名字是不是这样,总之就是差不多。)上一次在嘉兵卫尝过的味噌汤算是我人生暂时渴过最好的了吧。今次在妈妈吃的又是变回平常在日式餐厅的有点马虎的汤。太咸了。我知道味噌汤都是有分白味噌(比如仙台味噌)和赤味噌(比如西京味噌)赤味噌偏咸白味噌喊度教低也比较creamy我不知道妈妈做的是白或是赤,不过对我来说这不叫我理想中的日式口味了( 不喜勿插><)咖哩当然是日式咖哩风,偏甜是当然。有点辣味,这样的结合咖哩汁吃起上来十分的惹味。奄列煎得很漂亮。配合著芝士片十分的好吃。(哈哈这次用的芝士叫合理,如果我平常在某些餐厅吃看到这些芝士我会超生气,我干嘛给你这样的价钱却叫我吃超市吃的芝士片,起码你都要像mcd一样找些会溶化的芝士吧。虽然大家都是cheedar芝士,因为是妈妈的料理所以在家的话当然会用这样的芝士片啦~)但份量其实是很大我最后完全是吃不完的。还剩下一半,建议两人共享这个吧。总括来说是不差的。下次会尝试这里的蛋糕了吧~ 因为晚餐太饱了。没有机会尝试了。价钱上也叫略贵,不过在这个地段倒是见怪不怪了。 继续阅读

妈妈做饭离小妹的公司不远,有时没有带饭便最爱跟同事到这里午饭。Mama Gohan是正宗日本人开设的,卖的并不花巧却有家的感觉,它共有两层,地下是快餐形式的(no service),一楼是日本料理店,一楼当然环境比较舒适,地下跟一楼的餐牌基本不同,但也有好几道相同的菜色,而相同菜色的价钱比较起上来,地下会比一楼便宜十多廿元。是日选了港币$108的鱼生饭配以面豉汤、温泉蛋及沙律,前菜还可加钱选三文鱼刺身。面豉汤不会太咸而且个底仲有好多料架,有豆腐、海带同日本鱼蛋。温泉蛋好滑,再配以葱花同淡淡既酱汁,冇得输呀沙律普普通通啦,通常加左芝麻汁既菜都系开胃又唔会难食既。主角鱼生饭,太足本了,粒粒珍珠饭配粒粒三文鱼、墨鱼、吞拿鱼同甜蛋,还有蟹籽同两大只甜虾,唔觉唔觉会食多左好多饭架~~~讲真,lunch要百多元系有d贵,但间中一次食好d就冇所谓啦,最重要系每次去都系六、七成入座率,唔使等位嘛。 继续阅读

为庆祝我地结婚4周年尼个特别的日子“52014”,我早系几个月巳选定Mama Gohan尼间日式料理店作为我地庆祝的地方。一来我同我先生好钟意日本野,二来之前“饮食男女"亦有介绍so……😅我开头谂住walk in,但后来系fb见到佢话要订位/whatsapp留位,咁我咪选择后啫,而佢地亦好快答我“confirmed”。我地今日亦早到左15分钟,见到佢地门口的design都几日本下(好得意),入到餐厅入面下层的灯光都几暗下,人亦唔多,心谂早知唔洗订位😅。之后有个男waiter问我地几位,我话订左2位2点的,跟住佢就话咁你地上2楼啦!上2楼?点上?系边到上又冇讲到,咁我地只好继续行入去跟住就见到条可以上上层的楼梯。原来2楼先系最多人(差不多full晒)😲上到去亦冇人带位,几经辛苦见到个waiter &同佢讲2位,佢好随意就话“坐住尼到先”😧坐抵左menu都睇完&想落单点知仲难,揾极人无人理&只讲:等等等等😥(好心唔够人就请多几个啦!话晒都已经开业1年啦麻),点知原来落单/带位/负责出order都系同一人(2楼个个waiter)😨唔理咁多落左order先算,我地选左“咖哩海鲜烩饭配温泉蛋+香味汤”&“烤酱油牛柳配白饭+香味汤”,2个set都有跟一份前菜,D前菜好精致,有冻豆腐、香草蕃茄仔、炸鸡一件、一碟仔好似萝卜丝物体。前菜整体都几好味,系个炸鸡颇为dry&淡左DD。个“咖哩海鲜烩饭“卖相一流,但个味道又系淡左D,如果个咖哩可以浓番D就 perfect.个“香味汤“几好饮,有D似我之前系北海道饮过的味道😆里面有萝卜/三文鱼落足料去煲。个“酱油牛柳”我觉得最正,食到以前我妈妈煮牛扒个个味(冇讲笑),辣辣地有D黑椒粒,又好似有D李派琳x汁的味咁😂牛柳亦相当淋……总之尼个超正呀!下次再嚟必试之选✌食饱饱饮番杯热咖啡再加件“自家制沫茶卷蛋”,咖啡咪讲笑香浓到不得了,非一般饮到的热咖啡。而个卷蛋亦同我食开的唔同,奶味重,表面软绵绵!简直happy ending……希望佢地可以改善一下人手问题就好啦! 继续阅读

同事话之前收到宣传单张话想试试印象中上环呢头日本餐厅真系一只手数得晒由于12:00食饭关系, 始终都无咁多人入到去, 侍应问, 系咪食set ga ?系就直行上楼上本来坐左落一张4人枱后尾有位似乎系话事人既男侍应走过来问我有冇订位我话冇咁个男侍应就话如果冇订位, 就唔好意思la要坐另一张枱因为好多人都订左枱, full晒跟住去左一张枱, 见到枱侧有张椅但张枱似乎系for两人用, 我地3个人好似有点迫但无计, 鬼叫冇订枱, 唯有照坐一睇餐牌, 哗, 有部分食物都好贵咁wor不过反正一场黎到, 就食好d两位同事都点了角切鱼生饭set (98蚊)我就叫左个烧牛柳饭set (128蚊)食物端上枱, 卖相好靓件蛋糕系个set包埋, 但如果叫其他set, 要另加30蚊但一食落口, 感觉唔系咁好味, 30蚊似乎唔多值内有忌廉同少许nuts除左件cake, 个set整体都唔错最后叫饮品, 侍应话冻饮要加5蚊 (其实价钱看上去系贵, 但佢讲有咁多人book位, 咁证明都应该有其受欢迎程度既) 继续阅读
