I dropped by this establishment for a refreshing cold drink and to just sit back and read a book. The people here are lovely, music is easy flowing and the ambiance is perfect for my visit (reminds me of holidays on a beach). I ordered a spam and egg musubi for a snack ($30) and P.O.G (passion fruit, orange, guava - $38). The musubi was warm and moist - seems like it was made fresh when ordered! The drink - amazingly refreshing! To be fair, it is Friday ~3pm so I was able to relax and read a book for a couple of hours but the ambiance might be different at other times. Will return here for some proper food next time - the menu looks ravishing!

I had a friend in town who suggested to try this place - oyster bar + free corkage sounded like a great idea! (apparently they just opened to public on 2nd May,2018 and since the liquor lisence is still in process it’s BYOB until that is sorted) Whilst in oyster bar, one must have oysters! Unfortunately, “Gillardeau” was out of stock (we went at around 7:30 which is not that late) so I tried one of every other offerings: Heritage, la Deese, Scottish rock and Go’s. We had a staff come over to explain what to expect (saltiness, fruitiness, etc) and the description matched what was given. P.S. oysters are 50% off on mon-sat frm 11:30am-2:30pm which sounds like a steal! For starters, we had avocado and shrimp tartar and crab cakes. I thought the crab cake was a bit dry but the tartar was refreshing and delicious! Mashed avocado gives you the creaminess and the shrimp adds a bit of sweetness. We forgot to take pictures of the appetisers because we were so hungry 🙊 Then we shared a grilled live Boston lobster. We could see the lobsters swimming behind the oyster bar which is very reassuring. Makes you really believe it is fresh. No complaints about this dish. Finally we finished our meal with two dessert: Glow Tiramisu and chocolate terrine. The terrine had a nice caramel drizzle and some raspberry bits that really worked together well. The tiramisu was not as expected - more like a deconstructed tiramisu. The only thing I liked about it were the small bitter coffee jelly bits. Unfortunately I would have preferred the traditional version of tiramisu but perhaps that’s just me. The servers were all very attentive, helpful and knowledgable. They made the night an absolutely delight. Will come back to try their lunch menu soon!

Met some friends here for brunch on Saturday, 11am. The restaurant was rather empty at this time but so were the street outside. 
I opted for a big breakfast ($108) with additional $10 for an iced latte. This comes with eggs of your choice (I went for scrambled), some sausages, potatoes, bacon, mushrooms, pancakes and strawberries served with a side of butter and baked beans. I wish I had asked for some maple syrup for the pancakes. This was delicious and very filling. The coffee was also not bad. My friend opted for the eggs Benedict with salmon. It was served on a pancake rather than the traditional english muffin which was a bit of surprise - am sure if we had read the description, we would've expected it. There was also spinach and a side of salad giving this dish a splash of "healthy" feel. While there are no complaints with the taste, we prefer the more harder english muffins. I guess we might call ourselves quite traditional and conservative in this aspect but its still good to try something different for once. 

Stumbled across this gem on my casual stroll around Wan Chai on a random Saturday morning.

I bought the chicken curry wrap and chicken avocado baguette with a smoothie to go.

Chicken curry wrap ($48)

My friend ate this and was surprised by how healthy it was - packed with kale and tasted fresh and delicious. He was very keen on going here again and insisted that I show this place to him.

It had a generous portion of brie cheese and tasted fresh. The portion was decent.

Smoothie ($45)

There was an option of blueberry/banana/blueberry-banana/mango. I went for the combination of blueberry and banana. They make it right after you order and tasted delicious.

The staffs are very cheerful and helpful. The lemonade at the counter looks so appealing, would love to try it next time!

The entertainer offers buy1get1 for sabdwich/beverge/pastry.

Came here for a quick lunch. Upon entering, we noticed that most of the seats were taken. We were offered the bar stool next to two other people which was fine for us but the other people left, possibly due to the lack of space (we would have been elbow to elbow).

We were quickly presented with a menu whose quality resembles something you would hand out on the streets for marketing purposes.

It's like a self serve place where u go up to the counter, order and pay first. My friend and I opted for the half combo of short rib. We were given the option of pretzel bun, a kind of wrap or rice. We opted for the first.

The combo also comes with a side and a drink. We got nachos and beetroot fries. For drinks, there was no list on the menu and the lady at the counter listed out the options when asked at a very rapid pace. We went for the iced lemon tea. The food was surprisingly very small in portion for the price paid ($108 each). BOTH our main with sides fit in a single serving tray so that should give you a clearer picture. The ribs was very soft and flavorful and the pretzel bun was quite fluffy. Beetroot fries were quote oily but its fries. I thoroughly enjoyed the sauce it cams with. The nachos was ok, no complaint. However for the price, one can definitely have better quality and quantity food and also at a place with better ambiance.

p.s. the half ribs (and combo option) is only offered from 12-3; I also read reviews of this place from a year ago and it appears that they had a larger range of burgers (we were told that there is only one kind of burger offered now) which was very disappointing as I had initially choosen to dine here to try their burgers.

"All natural & freshly made" meal for just & just over $50 - it seemed like a deal that is too good to be true so I decided to try it for myself.

The choices are not large but if you are looking to get fit, eat healthy, this place should definitely be on the list of places to eat. They also do deliveries.

1) Choosing your protein: the choices available for now are (a) Tofu steak with crusted sunflower seed (veg) (b) tomato-feta cheese stuffed chicken breast (c) baked sole fillet with almond bits

While brother went for (a), I choose (c). The fish was light and I could definitely taste the almond bits - delicious!

2) choice of organic veggies: today they had spinach, corn and carrots.

We both opted for spinach. This was a bit bland but salt & pepper mixture was readily available.

3) carbs: brown rice/quinoa/sweet potato
I opted for quinoa while brother had the mashed sweet potato

Verdict
The food felt fresh and healthy and the fact that it only cost us $68 each for it (actually since we used entertain, we got one for free!) was an added bonus! Due to lack of variety, it's not a place I'd visit every day but I am sure to be a regular (even without the discount, it's absolutely worth a try!). You can also get extra portions of protein/carb/veges for a small additional amount.

My friend and I arrived with no reservation at around 12:15. We were lucky to secure a table within 5 min but we were told that we can only have the table on the condition that we return the table within an hr.

Their set lunch has a choice of:
1) drink (we opted for homemade ice tea)
2) starter (soup/salad)
3) main
1/2+3 = $158
1 + 2 + 3 = $168

We were given some bread with butter whole we waited for our food. My friend got the soup while I opted for just a drink and main (from past experience, the main is filling enough). For the mains, we opted for the two brown rice options.
1) brown rice with scalop
The brown rice looked to have the consistency of a risotto which was a present surprise. The scallop was a bit overcooked but didn't disappoint. 2) brown rice with chestnuts and pumpkin
This also had the consistency of risotto. The Chestnut flavour really stood out and lifted the dish. That with the pumpkin made the dish extra filling. We had a hard time finishing both the dishes and we were reminded that our hr is coming to an end. I was a bit annoyed when the waiter whisked away my dish when I had last few bites left. I felt it was rude to not clarify whether I was done or not (I wasn't!).

The ambiance is great, food was decent but weekday lunch is not a time to come here for a long catch up. Perhaps if you get a booking, it will be different. Also, maybe quickly browse and decide on what you want to eat while waiting so you don't use up the seated time in ordering.

I tried Pastrami sandwich in New York and was craving it. Luckily I read that Morty's offers them for a pretty decent price ($108 for regular and $138 for large). My partner and I decided to get a large classic Pastrami and a large Reuben so that we can try both each. Check out the front person preparing our sandwich with the person next to her is cutting a big slab of delicious Pastrami! The open kitchen shows that the meals prepared here are in a hygenic condition.We requested to cut the sandwich in two and they were happy to oblige. The sandwiches came with fries or salad. We went for 1 each. The fries were shoestring fries and tasted delicious. The salad was fresh but quite average. We were also served a small portion of pickles but since neither of us like pickles, we didnt give that a try. 

The Classic Pastrami was a favourite for both of us. It was delicious. The Reuben was not much different from the Pastrami. I could see the Sauerkraut but it must have been pretty bland since the pastrami meat was all I could taste. Not worth the extra $10 as there was barely much difference in taste. 

The sandwiches are definitely not as large as the one I encountered in the States but that's normal, still enough to fill us both and have some left over - maybe we should've gone for the regular. 

After I had already paid, I realised that they have a happy hour menu with Pastrami slider on it ($68)! I know what I am coming for next time!

I initially called to try an make a booking but was told that they only accept bookings for dinner. I arrived around 12:45 for walk-in and was seated by 1pm. The staffs were very polite but I was approached by atleast 3 different staffs while I was waiting - perhaps they need a system to distinguish the wait-list for walk-ins. 

The drinks:
1) the Cafe latte Rose (large): it was quite pleasent though I would prefer my coffee without sugar (they had already sweetened it). 2) Iced latte (large): was much needed in this HOT summer weather3) The hot chocolate was served with two pieces of marshmallows which was so adorable! Would be a perfect winter drink. The food
1) Fish & chips: this is served with thick cut fries & salad and a side of tartar sauce and ketchup. While this dish is quite large and filling, nothing special struck me. It was quite average. 2) Omelette: this is served with shoestring fries and salad which was not expected making it a lot more filling than anticipated. It comes with three fillings, we opted for cheese, bacon and mustrooms. The bacon seemed more like ham which is also another choice. We also went for the additional truffle paste was lifted the omlette, it was such a delight!3) French toast: This came with caramelised banana (YUM) and some bacon - the bacon seemed a bit out of place but I LOVE bacon so no complaints there. 4) Eggs benedict: the yolk runniness was just as expected so no disappointment. Waitress accommodated for my special request for dessert (S'mores) as surprise. They even wrote a small message! The attentiveness really was such a delight. The S'mores was such a large portion. Though the menu says its good for 2, the 4 of us has a hard time finishing this after our mains. We were also given extra biscuit at no extra cost! We could've gone with one less main with this dessert coming at the end. 

The interior of this cute establishment is very light and bright. The g/f has very limited settings but more are available upstairs.

I opted for a regular salad which allows you to choose (1) a base of salad/rice/mixture of the two. I choose to have a mixture. Then you can pick upto 3 toppings. I went for the sesame Tofu, Cole slaw and quinoa. The tofu was delicious with the sesame taste being just right, not overpowering. The quinoa also had some other ingredients like corn which gave a beautiful texture and spring/summer look. The coleslaw crunch was a wonderful addition to the mix.

The regular box was surprisingly filling! The service is quick-perfect for the busy bees in the area. In addition, staffs were very polite and helpful.
