Terms and Conditions

This promotion offer is only applicable to cardholder(s) holding a valid Hang Seng MPOWER Card issued by Hang Seng Bank Limited (the “Bank”) (collectively “Eligible Card”). A cardholder holding a valid Eligible Card shall be referred to as the "Cardholder" below. An “Eligible Transaction” occurs when a Cardholder makes a transaction through OpenRice mobile application/website and uses his/her Eligible Card to pay for all relevant fares and fees associated with that transaction. By participating in this promotion offer, the Cardholder acknowledges that he/she/it has read, understood, accepted and agreed to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. The Promotion Period of the offer runs from 12th Aug 2020 at 10:00am to 30th Sep 2020 at 11:59pm, time refers to Hong Kong time (“Promotion Period”).

  1. This promotion offer only applies to OpenRice Voucher Service.
  2. Promotion Participant must be an OpenRice member, maintain a valid OpenRice mobile application/website user account with a valid registered mobile phone number, and register an Eligible Card as the payment method for OpenRice Voucher Services.
  3. Weekly Double Rewards (“Offer(s)”):
      (I) On every Wednesday (including 12/8, 19/8, 26/8, 2/9, 9/9, 16/9, 23/9, 30/9) from 10:00am during the Promotion Period, Promotion Participant by selecting a registered Eligible Card as the payment method for voucher transaction can enjoy an auto instant discount of HK$80 with a spending of HK$200 or above in any single transaction. Applicable to the first 200 OpenRice members in every week on a first-come-first-served basis until quota filled.
      (II) In every week starting from Friday to the following Thursday during the Promotion Period, Promotion Participant by selecting a registered Eligible Card as the payment method for voucher transaction can enjoy an auto instant discount of HK$20 (with a spending of HK$250 – HK$499 in any single transaction) or HK$80 (with a spending of HK$500 or above in any single transaction). Applicable to the first 300 OpenRice members in every week on a first-come-first-served basis until quota filled.
  4. Each Promotion Participant can only enjoy Offer (I) & (II) once per week.
  5. In order to enjoy the Offers, Promotion Participant is required to confirm using the registered Eligible Card as the payment method for voucher transaction before checkout.
  6. Promotion Participant will be entitled for the Weekly Double Reward (I) first when using the registered Eligible Card in the voucher transaction. The Weekly Double Reward (II) shall be redeemed on the next voucher transaction. All records relating to the eligibility will be based on the system records.
  7. The Offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion offers or promotional discount coupons, unless otherwise specified.
  8. The vouchers are subject to availability. All pictures and information of the vouchers are for reference only. Please contact the relevant merchants for details. Notice of unavailability or substitution will not be provided.
  9. The Offers above cannot be exchanged for cash/ service, other products or discounts and is not transferable.
  10. Under the law of Hong Kong, intoxicating liquor must not be sold or supplied to a minor in the course of business. 根據香港法律，不得在業務過程中，向未成年人售賣或供應令人醺醉的酒類。
  11. The Offers are only applicable to Cardholders whose Eligible Card accounts are determined at the sole discretion of the Bank to be in good standing and remain valid and not in default during the relevant Promotion Period.
  12. Any fraud and/or abuse of the Offers by any person (as determined by the Openrice Limited, Mastercard Asia/Pacific (Hong Kong) Limited and Hang Seng Bank Limited at their sole discretion) will result in forfeiture of the person’s eligibility to the Offers. Openrice Limited, Mastercard Asia/Pacific (Hong Kong) Limited and Hang Seng Bank Limited reserve the right to deduct the value of any offer redeemed inappropriately to a Cardholder directly from any of the Cardholder’s Eligible Card without prior notice and/or take legal action in such instances to recover any outstanding amounts.
  13. Openrice Limited, Mastercard Asia/Pacific (Hong Kong) Limited and Hang Seng Bank Limited shall not be responsible for any obligations and liabilities in relation to the products or services provided by the respective merchant(s) or product/service provider(s). For any product and/or service enquiries, Cardholders should contact the relevant merchant(s) or product/service provider(s) directly.
  14. Openrice Limited, Mastercard Asia/Pacific (Hong Kong) Limited and Hang Seng Bank Limited shall not be responsible for any matter in relation to submission delay, loss, and any information transmission error due to technical problems including but not limited to any computer or internet network issues.
  15. Cardholders are responsible for all expenses regarding to this campaign, including but not limited to transportation, tax and insurance.
  16. Should there be any discrepancy or inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.

  19. Openrice Limited, Mastercard Asia/Pacific (Hong Kong) Limited and Hang Seng Bank Limited reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time as well as to vary or terminate the Offer without prior notice.

  2. Promotion Participant must be an OpenRice member, maintain a valid OpenRice mobile application/website user account with a valid registered mobile phone number, and register an Eligible Card as the payment method for OpenRice Takeaway Services.
  3. “Happy Wednesday Offer” (“Offer”): During Promotion Period, on each designated Wednesday (including 12/8, 19/8, 26/8, 2/9, 9/9, 16/9, 23/9 and 30/9) at 10:00am, upon successful registration of an Eligible Card and selecting the same registered Eligible Card as the payment method for OpenRice Takeaway Services, the Promotion Participant can enjoy an auto instant discount of HK$45 (with a minimum spending of HK$80 or above in any single transaction) at checkout. Each Promotion Participant can enjoy this offer once on each designated Wednesday and each Promotion Participant can enjoy a maximum of HK$180 auto instant discount during the Promotion Period. All records relating to the eligibility will be based on the system records.
  4. The Offer as mentioned in Clause 4 are only applicable for Promotion Participant who has successfully registered his/her Eligible Cards as the payment method for OpenRice Takeaway Services on each designated Wednesday. The offer is available on a first-come-first-served basis while stocks last. If Promotion Participant spends HK$90 or above in a single takeaway transaction with a registered Eligible Card on the designated Wednesday in restaurants applicable for “Mastercard X Lee Garden Happy Wednesday Offer”, they will be entitled to the “Mastercard X Lee Garden Happy Wednesday Offer” which will be prioritized for redemption, and can enjoy an auto instant discount of HK$30. Happy Wednesday Offer can be used on the next takeaway transaction with spending over HK$80 on the same designated Wednesday. All records relating to the eligibility will be based on the system records.
  5. In order to enjoy the Offers, Promotion Participant is required to confirm using the registered Eligible Card as the payment method for takeaway transaction before checkout.
  6. The above Offer will be valid only on each designated Wednesday (including 12/8, 19/8, 26/8, 2/9, 9/9, 16/9, 23/9 and 30/9) during the promotion period.
  7. The Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion offer or promotional discount coupons, unless otherwise specified.
