很不愉快的午餐。原本去另一間位於謝菲道的馬來西亞餐廳午飯，但因太多人輪候，於是在謝菲道逛來逛去，終於進入了此店。那時候不需輪候，但餐廳內也不算少人﹣心想︰應該不會太差吧！然後我們三人便看餐牌，然後點午餐。香茅豬扒金邊粉＄38／香茅豬扒河粉＄38／越式湯金邊粉＄40，名字很正常；熱奶茶／凍檸水／凍咖啡，這都是普通的飲品﹣但出自於此店的都變得十分不一樣。1）香茅豬扒﹣少許香茅味，很乾。2）湯底奇怪味，是灰色的；3）金邊粉：外形奇怪，質感／闊度不似正常的金邊粉，味道還...是奇怪甜味4）所謂越式，只有扎肉是較為接近正常。5）凍檸水：糖水多、杯子不見得乾淨6）凍咖啡︰一半奶，三分一啡，三分一糖水﹣可憐的同事說從來未喝過此等咖啡7）熱奶茶︰較為正常，但又是那問題﹣杯子不見得乾淨8）所有筷子都是即棄木筷子，一來不環保，二來不知木筷子的製作源頭9）食肆環境狹窄，侍應們對於顧客所落的餐單混亂至極10）每次出菜或飲料，侍應們都是繞場幾周才知道是那位顧客我們很不明白為何這樣的餐廳都可以有如此多的人流...難以理解。結論是︰Happy Friday變得不再Happy。不會再光顧！…Read More

以一次美味的晚餐完滿了二零一二年六月的工作天，加上這星期所發生的好事，實在太幸福；特別是與自己最親的人一起享受著。沒有奢侈的點綴，但一切從簡便是最幸褔快樂！選擇了意粉360，其一是方便他在一星期忙碌過後能回到現實中，二是我倆想找一個較舒適的地方；而意粉360的餐牌也吸引著！坐在卡座上，有一位女侍應體貼的問我們要和暖水或凍水 ﹣ 雖然可能是餐廳要求員工的指定動作，但也已經很窩心。還有餐廳的其中一位經理，很敬業樂業 ﹣ 無論是任何時候，也都是帶著歡樂的聲線招呼客人。我們看了看餐牌，其中一個的二人套餐的價錢適中，而且套餐中的食物款式也都是我倆所適合的！（＄218）﹣很豐富！（1）兩個意大利雜菜湯﹣熱騰騰／紅卜卜的雜菜湯很快便送到桌上，足料的雜菜很美味，但湯偏鹹（個人口味較淡）；最終他把我的湯也喝掉了（2）兩件照燒牛肉包﹣份量不少的牛肉包，麵包很特別，似墨西哥包；沒有任何味道，靠的是照燒汁和牛肉的味道；可惜的是牛肉似肥牛製作，雖然味道不錯，但感覺怪怪（3）忌廉焗煙肉西蘭花1.7mm意大利粉 （四選一）﹣單是賣相已經極之吸引，是即叫即焗，連碟一同放入焗爐，耐熱！﹣我是不吃煙肉的，但單是品嚐意大利粉配以忌廉汁和mashed broccoli，已經十分好味；﹣不太鹹，味道適中；汁份量也適中，比其他地方做得出色，因有些餐廳在焗意大利粉後的醬汁也都乾涸了！﹣唯一美中不足的地方是，mashed broccoli可以再多加一些（4）和風蟹肉蘑菇2mm 薄餅（四選一）﹣薄薄的pizza pie 減卻了油膩感，那crunchy 的pie邊很美味（我平時已經是不會吃煎炸香口食物的一類，但此pie感覺較健康！）﹣豐富的材料有蟹柳、紫菜、蘑菇、芝士等，回味無窮！﹣份量多，但不膩（幸好他的食量驚人，否則沒可能吃掉所有dishes）（5）宇治抹茶雪糕紅豆冰（另加＄12）﹣抹茶和紅豆是我的至愛，雖然怕份量太多會吃不下，但我選擇吃少了其他菜式：）﹣Vanilla 雪糕在杯頂，抹茶的濃郁味道實在太美味（不過不喜歡抹茶的人便會不喜歡）﹣大大粒的紅豆已被煮溶了，不過有點偏甜，但都很可口!﹣紅豆與抹茶的份量分配很恰好，不會過多或過少！﹣雖然要另加＄12，但也值得！！！！！（6）雪糕紅豆冰（另加＄12）﹣雖然很多地方都可以嚐到雪糕紅豆冰，但看到實物便知道廚師很有心機製作！﹣此紅豆冰的奶與其他地方的不同，看上去似鮮奶或牛奶，不是一般的煉奶或淡奶；雖然我沒有試，他也無法告訴我是那一種，但我也嚐過不少地方的紅豆冰，看上去真的不同！（有待想試的人自行發掘）﹣他也說紅豆的美味，開始溶化的雪糕令紅豆冰像奶昔般，也不停讚著！總括而言，所有dishes都帶給我們驚喜，值得再試！侍應們的態度也不俗啊！…Read More

It was the second day of recruitment event in Tseung Kwan O, and today, I tried Euro Go Go's tea set.Although it's self-served ordering, all staff are nice and polite.I ordered cheese & tuna croissant with mochaccino with only ($26+8). - Cheese & Tuna are so matched and it's so yum onto croissant. - That croissant is not as oily as other cafes, and it's nicely baked with little butter. - The taste of cheese & tuna is just enough and not too salty. - It's not oversize and it's with reasonable price.Mochaccino is just delicious and it looks gorgeous, although it's not quite melty at the bottom with chocolate powder & sugar.I actually tried Euro go go before, but it's not with good feeling because it uses paper plates & plastic forks & knives. Today's a special day. I planned to have a special lunch with my dear as per his birthday is coming soon, but I can't celebrate with him on that day. Daniel's cafe is just a perfect choice.I reserved a table through tablemap and I ordered a special request! Staff of Daniel's cafe called and he said that he would help me prepare a cake and write somethings special for my dear regarding my request.We got there at around 1:35pm and we had a seat at the corner. The environment is very nice and comfortable. It allows us to have a quiet and relaxing lunch.We ordered three dishes:1) Smoked salmon salad (5 Stars out of 5)- It's fresh and looks nice!- That sauce's quite appetizing! (A bit salty & sour)- It contains fresh vegetables & freshly sliced smoked salmon!- The volume is just enough and not too much!2) Tortilla Espanola- It's hot and delicious!- It's with scramble eggs, potatoes and some special ingredients!- That tomato sauce's cooked nicely and it's a very healthy choice!!- The dish looks very presentable and we can feel that cook is full of passion!3) Pasta with Tomato sauce- Lastly, although this dish took a long time to be served, it's valuable to wait!- The tomato sauce with some herbs is so tasty! After watching a nice movie with my partner, we decided to enjoy our dinner at Itacho Sushi. We seldom visit franchising restaurants for food, but this time we tried.We seemed not to be so familiar with the ordering process, and it took more time than normal. Finally, we picked up for few kinds of sushi and sashimi.（1）Softshell Crab Roll - It looks nice, but the ratio of rice and softshell crab is really contrasted!- Softshell crab tasted not yummy, although it's not oily, it's so 'soft'.- Wasabi is delicious though.- And, rice is quite sticky, which even other small japanese restaurants can make it better!（2）Salmon Sashimi- It looks fresh, but quite skinny.- It tastes rich, and with wasabi, it's even better!- We expected that the thickness can be enriched next time.（3）Crab Meat Salad- It's the most delicious food among this dinner- The sauce is just enough and not overwhelmed- But, it can add more mangoes- It's quite fresh and tastes yummy!（4）Mini Sashimi Rice- It's really mini, and rice is much more than sashimi.- It doesn't look attractive though, and tastes not very good/- It's just sashimi and rice separated, can have Sushi instead.- No surprises for this order! Today is the second day of Easter holiday. There are not much people at the restaurant around 2:40pm, and it's nice to enjoy an afternoon tea with my partner.We have tried another branch many times, and this is the second time I try this branch, but the first with my partner. Thus, we are familiar with what we will have here. And, this time we order somethings new as well as the one we love.For me1) Coconut Souffles Toast- I have it with extra sauce of coconut souffles; it looks very good and yummy- It tastes rich and the sauce is really nice with toast.- It's not over-baked, but is moderately baked.- It's not very sweet, but tastes so moist!- You can even look at the picture, which the toast looks so fascinated!(2) Hot milk tea with germ (without sugar)- It's always my favourite Taiwanese drink!- But, I always have it without added sugar!- Germ is rich enough, and milk tea tastes like the one that I had in Taiwan!- *At first, the waitress gave me a cold one, but I did order it in hot. It's fair enough that she helped to change it! (As she helped to order two drinks in cold)For him3) Pan-fried chicken thigh with dried noodles- This is the one that my cousin had in another branch last time, and my partner wants to try.- Pan-fried chicken thigh looks nice and yummy, not very oily, and it's hot enough.- Dried noodles are quite hot and the dish looks good.- He said that the sauce for noodles is yummy, not salty; but he likes the noodles served with soup more.* During our dining, there is one guy sitting next to us and with Pan-fried chick thigh with noodles in soup; and my partner thinks that this guy has more pan-fried chicken than he does.(4) Hot milk tea with germ- He is always with this drink too, but with sugar.- It tastes not very sweet, but looks a bit darker than that of mine (Maybe sugar is a matter)- It's hot enough and looks nice.We both think that services and food & beverage in this branch are better than the other one in Yuen Long, but both are still nice!…Read More

In this evening, we have just had an early dinner at La Kaffa. Its environment is not quite comfortable and can have further improvements, especially its background music is quite noisy and unmatched with the catering style. Also, it's not quite clean but still neat. It's like a fast food all-day-breakfast restaurant, but worth to have a try for its brunch set though.At around 6:30pm, there were only two tables on serve in outdoor area where customers were enjoying their brunches but smoking. My partner and I do not like 'smoking', although outdoor area is much enjoyable than indoor, someone smoking was quite disturbing. So, we chose to have a table inside in the middle of the room. One thing is that it's quite dirty, but luckily one server did come to clean it up. My partner went for ordering two sets of brunches1) Egg benedict & hams with English muffin, bacons, baked beans, corns and vegetables ( add one mocha with $6 discount)- It looks quite nice, and it's a quite big dish.- I didn't add on any salt or other fillings, and egg benedict with muffin is good!- Although it's not as hot as I prefer, the whole dish is tasty.- But, somethings need to be mentioned: corns are not quite fresh, and it seems like can food.- Also, the quantity of vegetables is not enough, may add on different types of fruits/ vegets.- Mocha serves nicely with a 'heart' icon on top, and the taste is good too! - It's not over-caffe, but with good match between caffe & chocolate.(2) Big Omelete with two half-sliced whole wheat bread, german sausages, corns and vegetables ( with hot lemon tea free)- Omelete is quite big, its size is a half of the plate. It's with chopped ham and some cheese.- Two half-sliced whole wheat bread look healthy, but a bit dry as told by my partner.- Corns and vegetables need more improvements as it's not quite fresh when tasted.- Lemon tea is just fair, but a bit bitter.Overall, the dishes are good, but the environment is really disturbing because of mosquitoes around!!!! There's one insect flied on top of my benedict I felt really bad about it!I believe that with better improvements, it can be as good as other restaurants like the one in Causeway serving brunches with similar price range. Improvements may focus on hygiene and environment, also change the background music, like with Jazz would be much better than cantonese pop music.It's worth to have a try though, but I may not go back again, or only go for it few months later to find out whether it's improved or not.…Read More

Kasho Chaya provides good quality ice-cream with mainly two flavors: Milk & Green tea. There are different combinations which you can choose to add onto the ice-cream like red beans.Yet, I always have ice-cream cone with both milk & green tea, or only green tea. In the pass few months, I have had it with my boyfriend once a week. It tastes really yummy and full of happiness. But, this time when I tried again, although the taste was not quite different, its texture changed and started melting easily. In fact, I will keep on trying it in the near future.I like green tea and milk, thus I love this kind of ice-cream so much. It does not taste very sweet, but when I ordered green tea ice-cream cone, the flavor is so addictive.
