一向都鐘意食東南亞野,住附近既我收到風當然要黎試一試。一入門口,環境光猛,冇乜花巧野,係醒目既,開係呢啲地方都係簡樸實際啲好。打開餐牌見到個定價,心諗你哪來的自信,開到咁貴一個lunch set,小弟飛過去東南亞食正宗菜都唔知平幾多。小食飲品方面定價比同類鋪頭低,仲有特色飲品,美祿、白咖啡、拉茶,等我即刻叫返杯試下你咩料子。飲品上得幾快,三分鐘內,合格,入口係熱既,一啖飲落去,不得了,居然真係白咖啡,唔係其他狗屎垃圾。白咖啡既特色就係低溫長時間烘焙,啖啖充滿碳香味,呢杯野飲係above average,令我對之後既食物都抱有期望。同大家分享一點,如果想知道一間東南亞餐廳係咪正路,一定要睇飲品有冇特色,例如泰國菜要有泰式奶茶,馬拉菜一定要有拉茶白咖啡。冇既話間野多數唔掂,可以直接離開。就算有都唔代表係掂,須知道呢個世界好多豬扒當上菜,沖杯港式奶茶比我飲都夠膽就真係永久blacklist。話說琴日食左間好難食既海南雞,今日橫死掂死,試試呢度個海南雞摻摻。雞件有雞味,唔係平時食到既雪藏味,入口鬆軟,唔錯。面底用上一比一油麵同米粉,一粗一幼口感特別。湯底方面辣味適中,奶味適中,可以話係適合香港人口味,不過個人就鐘意比較濃辣,所以覺得一般。最後叫左個馬拉盞通菜,22蚊夠曬大碟,又平,兩個人share食都夠有突,普通味道。Overall,呢間會返卓,可能會試海南雞套餐。…Read More

I have known for long that Shek Mun is a place where business is developing and more and more restaurants are moving in. Tonight I came with one of my friends and tried a few dishes, drank a few draft beers and see what is the standard. As you can see the environment is quite chill and I like it so much as a place to relax and chat with friends.Craft beer has been a hot topic in Hong Kong in recent years, I ordered Jade Rabbit and Oh Bacon to share with my friend. Jade Rabbit is more like my cup of tea as I prefer more pure wheat taste and less strong flavour, it is up to my standard as a beer lover. For Oh Bacon, my friend liked it more as he doesn't drink a lot but he likes this interesting taste of bacon in his mouth. The price is a bit expensive comparing to other craft beer places I have been.For mains, I ordered pork knuckle, cheese fries and chicken wings. I love pork knuckle very much and I like the way they do it here, crunchy outside and soft inside, while not being too salty in general. The chicken wings are fused with kimchi and pork, I don't like it personally but my friend ate all of them. I can say 太爺雞 is one of the restaurants that survives through the years.This time I ordered 3 dishes and shared with my two other friends. First one is the famous 太爺雞 which is actually soy sauce chicken, nice and sweet chicken, not too sour, worth being the signature dish. This is a must order item if you have never been here.Second dish was broccoli salad dressed prawns. I didnt expect the shrimp to be crunchy outside and yet fresh inside. Also matching with the salad dressing so much. Dont forget to mix the salad dressing with the broccoli.Last item was sweet sour pork, it was fair and good that they have many pineapple.The price per head was around $100 for 3 big boys to get full. I was already a big fan of man wah and this time Im gonna test the quality of this newly opened branch. I ordered my favourite tomato char siu noodle, ham with stir fried eggs, toasts and iced 鴛鴦. I would say the standard is there, i guess pretty much the same SOP. One point I dont like here is the over sweet of the iced 鴛鴦. I have been studying and working around sai wan but I never discovered this shop until one day my friend brought me. This shop is famous for its noodles soak in soup. I tried the miso shrimp soup with the black pepper noodle. The miso shrimp soup wasnt too salty but it has the umami taste and impressive for any seafood lover. My friend suggested this resto for us to drink craft beer and eat meat. It is located at a corner of wanchai, just opposite to the HKJC yet it is a bit hard to find. We ordered 3 sets of 3 glasses craft beer for ($14x forgot the price), they provide 10 ish choices which are pretty local, using chinese idioms and terms to describe the beer. The beer was nice and they are very unique for each of them. I especially like "quit your job".
