大坑本身就係一個卧虎藏龍的地方,一間間香港小店隱藏着一個個不同的故事,留待到訪者逐一探索和發掘。林林總總的餐廳,要選上一間心儀小館就絕對不是易事,加上大坑小店的門面大多比較樸實低調,要選定一間餐廳往往都要花上不少時間和心思。 Dough Kitchen 坐落於布朗街,幾度玻璃門後就是大約二十人的座位,整間店鋪最吸睛的就只有左邊一個半圓形大窗供人親眼看着手工意粉的製造,稍不留神便會錯過。意粉+薄餅向來都是小妹的至愛系列之一,再知道Dough Kitchen 主打手工製作,二話不說便選上了它。幸好我們遇到了最後一個沒有訂座的位置,不然就要跟心儀的它說再見 新年選對了餐廳,吃了滿足的開年飯,應該是整年有食神的好意頭 比較之下,手工意粉簡直係全日之最 即使 Parma Ham Pizza 好味(絕對不會令人有飽滯感),手工意粉的出色度將它完勝。海膽意粉有咬口之餘,掛汁程度極佳。海膽分量足料又唔腥,就連平日不愛海鮮的朋友都盛讚另一推介係Hokkaido scallop with mozzarella ,切開了的帶子跟薯容+芝士一起焗,拉絲效果超強 。一口就可以同時品嚐帶子、薯蓉和芝士,而且不會有呢完帶子還餘下薯蓉和芝士的問題,小妹要大讚這個貼心的烹調手法自家製的Kombucha 都頗好飲,不會太甜,不過感覺好像比較適合炎熱的天氣。整體而言,dough kitchen 是手工意粉和薄餅愛好者一個不錯的選擇!雖然價錢有點高,但無論服務和食物質素都令人滿意。大家可以挑選一個悠閒的下午過來品嘗一下這裏的好風光待晚市回復,小妹都要再來試一試牛面頰及和牛意粉呢!…Read More

It's exciting to know that the matcha cafe promoting 100 Organic Matcha from Omotesando, Tokyo has opened a new cafe in Causeway Bay. The grand opening was on 21 Jan 2022 and we visited it right on the next day. Luckily, the queue was not long but some of the food I wanna try like Croffle (i.e. croissant) and Matcha Lemon Jelly Parfait have already been sold out The soft serve ice-cream was brilliant, giving a rich matcha taste with the matcha powder on top and not being too sweet. The texture was smooth too. It would be great if the size is a bit bigger (maybe with one more layer), so the satisfaction could be even greater.The Matcha Lemonade was so so as it is not as refreshing as what we expect. Personally i thought the taste from the lemon succade was not strong enough. So it's like matcha soda with a very slight taste of lemon instead of the lemonade in mind.Matcha Espresso Latte was a better choice. The mix between matcha and espresso led the taste buds to another level of mood. The dynamics for this drink was great as it strikes quite a good balance between coffee and tea.The only suggestion would be the installation of some bar stands in the shop. Amid covid-19 pandemic, it is a bit too inconvenient for customers to eat or drink on the street. When there is one mini bar stand along the window, it is not customer friendly enough as ice-cream is not really for "take away". Customers do need a place inside the shop to put down their masks and enjoy the sweet before it melts. It was my second time visiting this lovely restaurant at Lee Tung Avenue The first time was a coincidence at its soft opening. My friends and I just walked past it and found this new place. The price for a 3-course set lunch was quite reasonable with this cool environment.As being told that the menu would be updated b-weekly, I intended to go there again for one more trial, so as to give a fairer commentary on it. My colleagues and I visited this cool place again for our "last lunch" in 2021. The experience was amazing and we were fully satisfied with the service.All the staff were friendly and welcoming. They were attentive and made sure that things were fine with us at all times. Regarding the menu, the appetizers I had in both visits were amazing. From the sushi roll to the dumplings, I simply love them so much. I tried a few different dishes for the main course as we were sharing with each other. The steak, the satay chicken and the curry were all great, except that the fried noodles is a bit too soft for us. Or maybe there could be a little bit less bell pepper so the mix would be better for the dish. The dessert was lovely. Both the crème brulee and the deep-fried banana with ice cream were perfect, making a wonderful conclusion to our set meal. The set lunch in this restaurant is of quite high CP value, except that the tables are a bit too packed.  For around $180, one can have a 4-course meal, including a crepe and a coffee, in a decent way. The food quality was great. My friend and I tried the duck leg and it was delicious. The plating was nice too.  The most exciting part must be having the crepe as dessert. The staff was really friendly. They served the food with passion, making the dining experience a joyful one. If someone is having a birthday, they will play the birthday song while serving the cake to the birthday star.Nonetheless, the restaurant was really packed. It was really lucky to have chance to try this newly opened Japanese restaurant in town, right on the second day of its grand opening. There are 3 omakase sets to choose from at dinner time.I tried the middle one named as TAKI and it was amazing.  Chef Tomiyama was very nice and interesting. His spoken Cantonese was impressive too. He introduced the dishes and sushi to us himself, except for those involving really complicated cantonese descriptions. His dedication to food and cooking was highly appreciated. The interaction with Chef Tomiyama during our meal made the dinner even more memorableHis responses and expressions brought a lot more laughters to the experience.The wonderful food journey started with a tomato and none of the dishes disappointed us. Each of them was magical, adding credits to the menu. The second dish was another surprise that stimulates my appetite.  The sour seaweed sauce and the tuna gave a perfect match that made me even hungrier.The monkfish liver simply recalled my fantastic travelling memories in Japan. When trips are not possible at the moment, having some good Japanese dishes is certainly one of the best comfort.Abalone was once my likes, but it has disappeared in my to-eat-list since I had the dental treatment. This dish was a total exception. I was sure I would reconsider having abalone when chances appear.Here comes my most exciting dish of the night. It is indeed Chef Tomiyama's signature design of the restaurant. The taste was stunning and impressive.  The fresh taste of sea urchin, caviar and crabmeat jelly could only be described beyond words. I am really sorry that one mush have a try oneself to experience how great it is.  Amadai is not uncommon in HK but not all restaurant serving it can make it a fantastic dish. The one here in Kushiro was excellent. The fish scales were crispy, melting upon the time you gave it a bite. The pesto sauce was special and tasty too. The spicy taste would go after a while, without any choking or irritation at all.The A4 waygu with yuzi truffle sauce impressed me because of its never oily but refreshing texture. The yuzi truffle sauce together with the charcoal powder wrapping the beef splendidly brought the dish to another level. I don't like rice but sushi is always my long-awaited part for omakase. (Without doubt, I would ask the chef to adjust the rice proportion. Or else I might not even be able to finish the whole set.) Each sushi was unique and remarkable, especially with Chef Tomiyama's personalised introduction. The hand roll marked the end of the sushi session and it demonstrated how friendly and interesting Chef Tomiyama was.  Time to share a promotional photo with him preparing the seaweed on site.I love eggs all the time for no reasons. If there must be one, maybe because of its simplicity yet unmeasurable potential in cuisine. Ending this amazing dinner with the soup in the picture. The chrysanthemum and shrimp enlivened the taste buds and prepared us for the dessert. It wasn't eye-catching but the two petits were a great surprise. Both of them were outstanding crossover of Chinese and Japanese dim sum and dessert. I don't really like sesame but I want to grab a box of this sesame chocolate home to enjoy The cookie was another incredible one to have for marking a perfect ending of the dinner.The only pity was that no alcohol could be served on the day I visited the restaurant due to the delay of the license. After waiting for such a long long time, our mini gathering in 2021 finally came. And it's time to treat ourselves with great food and comfy environment for girls' gossip Thanks for my two friend's recommendation and CP value evaluation, we picked this newly opened fusion restaurant for our date.The place locates at the convenient food street in causeway bay. It is cozy and the mood is cool. The service was nice and our dining experience is good.To maximize our foodies' greed, we ordered both the 5-course executive lunch and the weekend set lunch.Let me talk about the 5 courses first:The giant Japanese oysters (令和之怪物蠔) are creamy as always ~~~ together with the sour-sweet dressing, it is my favourite dish of the day The second course was an absolutely ig-able dish, it attracts "likes " to my account in a blink of eyes.The pan-fried scallop was yummy, but not too special.We had the steak and pork chop for the main course. The steak came with 3 mini side dishes and sounded far more eye-catching and it tastes great. The pork chop was so-so but its apple and sauce did earn it some extra marks. The dessert looks pretty and is surely another ig-able choice. When dine in dinner is impossible,  lunch becomes the only and best choiceIt's my first time to visit this restaurant near LKF.The service is great and the menu is of very high CP value It rains super heavily today and one of our friends can't join us coz of the bad weather.
