Singapore Chicken Rice
Ya Kun Coffee & Toast
2015-05-30
Today I fet like eating Chicken Rice so I went to Ya Kun Coffee & Toast. This place is popular for Singapore dishes and kaya Toast of course. There is quite a lot of poeple in there but no long queue at all. So I ordered Chicken rice and Iced Kopi O for myself. They have a buzzer for individual person and the red light kept flashing on the divice. Not sure if I have to go and pick up myself or someone will deliver to me my food and drink. Finally the staff deliver it to me. The Chicken Rice cost me $48.00 and Iced Kopi O cost me $26.00. Both comes up to $74.00.I had always enjoyed chicken rice and the dish here is above average . The Iced Kopi O is also sweet enough for me and thats what I expected. The Chili sauce for the rice is so so only. The decor is not much like singapore cafe style but acceptable for me.Anyway, I will come back again to try out their kaya & Butter toast next time. Might be next week. .Thank you…Read More

Hainam Chicken Rice
Koon Thai Hai Nam Chicken (Bute Street)
2015-05-29
This place is popular for Hainam Chicken Rice, so I pay a visit for this only. No other dishes to try for myself. I was in Mongkok anyway. So search for this place thru my phone. I went there around 3:30pm and lucky me that it's time for snack time. Special offer at special price. $45.00 for Hainan Chicken Rice with soup and one drink. I choosed Iced Lemon tea as it's my favourite drink. Then the chicken rice arrived together with chicken broth soup on the side. soup is hot as I expected. The chicken portion is a bit smaller but that snack time so I cannot complaint at all. It's just for that price with drink after all. It was quite crowded place with lots of people inside this restaurant. The server is quite friendly and cheerful. The seats around is quite tight and some tables also sharing basis. Anyway, all people come for chicken rice including myself alone. …Read More

A Good Try Out For the First Time
Sabah Malaysian Cuisine
2015-05-29
I was recommended by a malaysian friend who visited there a while ago. He mnetioned that the Gado gado and chendol there is good. I and my friends decided to try out for the first time there. The decor is nothing special but the service is friendly. We wasn't hungry that sunday. 3 of us ordered gado gado to share and of course we ordered Teh tarik as well. We all been to malaysia and for sure we wanted to know more the taste of it. The taste of the gado gado has lots of peanuts sauce in it. Thats really a malaysian style. The smells of the peanuts last long in our mouth. We all argeed to it and what we can say is Yummy!.Then the Teh Tarik is like the malaysian mamak style. No doubt at all. Then after Gado gado, we ordered the Chendol as part of our dessert. The Chendol is delicious and sweet enough from the coconut milk. Overall our experience is satisfied and we decided to make another visit for dinner next time. Not expensive place to have dinner as we did check out the dinner menu. Hope it won't be long for our next visit. Thank you for the great gado gado and chendol and teh tarik. …Read More

Just feeling like eating meat balls today for my lunch and and wanted try out Pizza Hut nearby home in Wan Chai. Not so crowded in the restaurant and I was seated right away by the staff. I was so hungry so since I was looking for Meat Balls Spaghetti and ordered it right away with a glass of Ice Coffee.I waited for just around 8 minutes, my Meat Balls with Spaghetti was served. Server has a big smile on her face when she was serving me. I just like it when server has a big smile on their face.Anyway, I finised my meat balls spaghetti in 10 minutes and the meat balls is very juicy and the texture for the spaghetti is well cooked. I will come back again for this dish. Iced coffee was cold enough and the restaurant is half full now. I asked for my bill and it takes around 2 minutes waits for my bill. I think there is not enough servers in this restaurant. Overall, I am satisfied with the food and drink, I will come back still. It's reasonable price afterall.…Read More

Nice Choice
STARBUCKS COFFEE
2015-05-26
I was shopping around Causeway before my movie and decided to find a Starbuck to relax and have some light sweet. So I found Starbucks in Fashion Walk. Lucky me!I ordered Green Tea Latte as it's my favorite drink and at the same time I choosed Blueberry Cheese Cake for my afternoon sweet. The blueberry on the cheese cake was juicy and fresh.Indeed the taste was perfect for me and that's whats I am looking for. Thank you, Starbucks! The Green Tea Latte I ordered is with skimmed milk and no classic syrup. It taste average for me this time and no sure why? Afterall, I enjoy it as always in Starbucks. …Read More

Best Value for Botttomless Seafood Brunch
Holy Crab Bar and Restaurant
2015-05-26
I saw my friends posted up in their face book when they visited this restaurant last weekend for brunch. Those pictures of they took and posted up was looking very delicous. So I and my two friends decided to go for it as our friends told us it's only $418+ per person and there is no time limits. Hey! We have time on weekend and thats the place that we are looking for. We all knew that Hong Kong brunch nowadays is getting expensive and still they out time limit to it. Forget it! I won't want to eat so fast. Anyway, let's go back to our experience in Holy Crab. There was quite full when we got there around 12:30pm and lucky we got booking. The manager greeted us at the door and escort us to our table. We got bench seating and it's comfortable and spacious. It's 12:30pm and we are very hungry and we could smell the seafoods in the dining area! We sat down and the manager explained to us the Bottomless Seafood Brunch Set. We just told her straight that we come for this menu and she gave us a big smile and say we make the right choice.  . We got serve complimentary a shot of Virgin Pina Colada before our 1st Course is serve. That really freshen up our day! . We ordered two mug of Holy Punch and looks great and it has fresh pineapple in it. Ok, here start our brunch. Round 1............I choosed Crabs and Meat Benedict and my friend choosed Southern Swimmer Benedict. There is 3 choices in Round 1. Another one is called Southern Love on a plate. ( It's a homemade sausage patties with scrambled eggs on buttermilk biscuits ) We felt it's safer to ordered Benedict. We were told later that if we like to have another plate of benedict is also fine. We just cannot believe it! .Then Round 2 is like Something Lite........our friends last time ordered their Caesar Madness. So we were thinking to choose Caesar Madness or Southern Living Fresh Fruit Salad. Finally we both selected Caesar Madness. The Caesar Salad comes in decent size and the dressing is perfect blend with Romaine Lettuce.  We both enjoyed it indeed. Then the final Round is ..............Bottomless Seafood Bucket........ .....We now get ready to digest our starter and caesar! We started with Jumbo Tiger Prawns Bucket and we got to finish one bucket by bucket. So that fair enough not to waste food.We came here for this and couldn't believe that next is Boston Lobster Bucket and next is Snow Crab Legs Bucket. We kept ordering after buckets and buckets. Thats why they called it Bottomless Seafood. .From 12:30pm, we ate till 4:00pm and we just cannot moved at all. Hahahahaha! We need wheelchair to get us out. The staff just kept asking us for refill, this is what I called good service. The Bottomless is until 5:00pm but we really cannot eat anymore. We wish we have 4 stomach. . Anyway, we just pay $418+ and we walked our super full and we making plan now to get our friends in group for next weekend gathering. We told our friends who dined here and Thank you for her recommendation to us. Good Choice and Good Value for money in Lan Kwai Fong! We believe there is no other place in town can offer this deal. Try it yourself and you will know it.   …Read More

Brunch in Cupping Room
Cupping Room Coffee Roasters (汕頭街)
2015-05-25
Me and my wife was walking around Wan Chai area and passed by the Swatow Street and decided to walk further inside and saw The Cupping Room. It was Saturday and we were looking for a place to have brunch. It was a little crowded inside and just the 3 ladies was waiting for table as well. We waited for about 10 minutes for our table and just looking around what other people are ordering. Finally we got seated and the menu is quite simple and the decor is also nice and relax for us. I ordered Full Brekky and my wife ordered Egg Benedict. She is Egg Benedict lover and for sure she will have good comment for the first time in The Cupping Room. While we were waiting for our food, we also ordered Iced Coffee and Iced Chocolate. Both drinks came in timely manner. Then the Egg Benedict and Full Brekky arrived and my wife say WOW!She is satisfied with the presentation of this dish. For mine........, I always enjoyed Brunch and I could smelled the Portobello Mushroom and it really tasted very good. I decided to give this dish 5 LIKES. .For my Full Brekky is $118.00 and Egg Benedict is $98.00 and we both very satisfied with this Brunch. Our total bill is $314.00 and not expensive at all. We both find it's worth the money for Brunch. Opppsss, I almost forgot to mention about the decor. It's very simple and yet relax. You could see the dishwasher and the aunty washing plate while waiting for the table. Anyway, we will come back again very soon. Thank you!…Read More
