Having passed by this restaurant when it's still under renovation and thought to go and try once it opened. Today just back from HKEC and thinking where for lunch. Found that it's opened. So, let's try!Welcomed and seated by the waiter at the bar table. A good position to have a view of the open kitchen, seeing the kitchen staff working around. No need to play with my mobile even I am having meal on my own today.I chose set B which includes an appetizer/soup, a main (pasta) and a dessert. All sets include a drink.A small bag of Italian bread with vinegar and olive oil was served after order. The bread was soft and  elastic. The herbs gave a good flavour. As in general and expected, vinegar and olive oil were so-so.Then come the green salad. Just freshly mixed in front of me. Well mixed with the homemade dressing and the taste was well balanced. The greens wer also fresh and crunchy.I tried the Pappardelle for main. Fettuccine was smooth, soft and elastic with a light eggy flavour. The duck ragu was just right to give a thorough flavour to every piece of the fettuccine. Cheese was finely grated over the pasta and so wouldn't give a greasy mouthfeel.Finally the dessert, one out of two. As recommended by the waiter, I had tiramisu. Surprised that it's not soggy like those I ever had in other restaurants. I like the nutty coffee flavour though I doubt whether this recipe includes rum/alcohol. Coarse sugar was sprinkled on top before serve which gave a light crunchy texture in addition to the smooth creamy mouthfeel. Meanwhile it was not too sweet, just fit my taste. It's somehow like drinking a cup of coffee and gave a nice ending to the meal.I was delighted to have tried this restaurant and will certainly come again. 到葵興維修物品,無意中發現了她 - 瓜破即興去食"lunch"🤓 店面只有5個bar枱式座位,幸好剛好有人買單離開,不用等多久就能入座🙂堂食主要有兩款甜品,另有小件裝蛋糕,可配抹茶、焙茶等latte或一些日式無酒精的cocktail,餐牌簡單,但小店來說已很足夠,而且食品的質素才是最重要🧐兩款甜品各一,另加了一杯熱牛奶抹茶和一杯熱牛奶焙茶🍵先來"瓜破尽",其實類似一盤雜錦抹茶甜品,店員仔細介紹每一小件甜品是什麼、怎樣吃。賣相很美,和風味濃🍡由卷蛋、pancake、mousse到最中、杏仁條、軟心朱古力,每一款都是心機之作,抹茶的層次分明,吃得到不同口感和味道的抹茶😌再來是"德島和三盆",類似是抹茶新地的變奏版,由最底層的脆脆,到上層的寒天凍、雪糕等,都配搭得恰到好處,軟滑、香濃、清淡、香脆都有,中間還驚喜地吃到一些乾柚子皮肉,為上層濃膩的紅豆和雪糕解膩,即時感到清新,很好的轉融,能吃到最底層也不會覺得膩😊老公的牛奶焙茶是簡單的花花拉花,茶香濃郁,甜度不高,能利用茶香中和甜品的膩🙂我的牛奶抹茶是店家應我的要求,弄了個龍貓的拉花😍😍😍很高興,開初真有點捨不得喝下去😜 抹茶味同樣香濃而不會過甜,很好😋實在覺得不夠,於是多買了幾件蛋糕回家,宵夜encore🍴🍵配上日本來的玉露茶,滿足矣☺️☺️其實瓜破原本只有網店,可訂購大個裝的蛋糕和其他日式和菓子,早前已心儀她的糕點,這天真是無心插柳,竟然被我遇上她的實體店🤗 有機會的話會再一試她的個裝蛋糕😊…Read More

與友人相聚,剛巧碰上Restaurant Week,朋友於是訂了這兒作聚會地點,順便一試Gordon Ramsay旗下的餐廳。 Restaurant Week menu只有兩sets選擇,但一行四人,於是每set點一個,另加了兩個main courses。 兩個Restaurant Week menu 的頭盆分別是八爪魚沙律和雜菌炸薯球,兩者都不錯,後者菇味濃郁,但又未至於十分驚喜。 而兩個主菜都是炸物為主,Fish & Chips和Pulled Pork Burger & Chips,一上枱全是金黃色,有點嚇人,如果要一個人吃一個set,實在有點負荷不來。炸薯條是粗身的,脆口有薯肉,但部分炸得過火了,偏燶;炸鱈魚魚肉厚身不會乾身,但脆漿偏厚,脆而有點硬;Burger餡料足,味濃,麵包有烘香,但同樣不會有驚喜。 另加的兩個main course分別是Shepherd’s pie和蟹肉扁意。前者羊肉汁豐富,薯蓉香滑,淨吃有點濃,若配點麵包或麵飯會比較好。後者看不到有多少蟹肉,但意粉汁調得不錯,扁意亦算al dente。不過以價錢衡量,這兩個主菜分別都要$198一份,但份量不大,性價比偏低。 Restaurant Week menu還有甜品,有Vanilla cheesecake & Chocolate brownie。分量輕巧,一人分量的話剛好,不過兩款皆沒有驚艷之處。 總括來說,所有食品正常,沒有很好,也沒有不好,不過Restaurant Week menu的確抵,$118有前菜、主菜和甜品,對比動輒過百的A la Carte,一試也未嘗不可,但其餘日子就不用特意走來,原價之性價比實在偏低,虛負Gordon Ramsay之名…Read More

做完運動,當然要醫醫肚其實已多次經過這間日本料理店,但每次都眼尾看看就走了。這次眼看寫著9時後入座8折,餐牌選擇也多,價錢合理,一於進內試試看門面以為是間很小的居酒屋,一進內才知比想像中的大兩三倍,那時才剛過9時,店內暫時半滿,我倆也可隨意挑一張4人桌坐下,坐得舒適一點。看過餐牌後,我們點了廚師推介的"川"壽司拼盤,另外加串燒拼盤和野菜牛肉鍋。壽司拼盤先到分量和質素都比想像中的好,壽司有10款,合共有13件,全部都很新鮮,大小適中,不會飯多料少,值得稱讚未食完壽司就緊拉來串燒和鍋物,串燒拼盤也有5款,各一串,包括冬菇、雞軟骨、雞腎、雞翼和肉串骨,雖然不是炭燒,但火候掌握得不錯,香脆而不焦雞翼更是開雙飛單骨的,方便進食~野菜牛肉鍋材料亦十分豐富,野菜分量十足,肥牛亦不見得少,可謂料多過湯,湯底味濃郁鮮甜,原價$48一鍋,現在還有8折,抵由我們坐下到食完離開,才不過1個鐘,但店內愈夜愈多人,我們坐下不久後已滿座,而且間歇有客人要候座,大部分看來都是街坊客,這樣性價比高的街坊居酒屋,值得再來…Read More

經常經過Pepper Lunch的分店, 但從沒有吃過, 今天男友特意與我一起試試~快餐得來有接待安排座位和送餐服務, 雖然沒有標明加一, 但相信所有服務費用已包括在餐點價錢內~因本人一向不好米飯, 故點了蒜香牛肉炒意粉, 跟餐配了自搖沙律和Light Pepsi~ 男友則點了個牛肉飯, 但加$1變珍寶級, 配餐只有汽水~飲品和沙律應該是落單後即時在counter取的, 但店員只給了汽水我們, 我們最初不以為意, 以為沙律會跟熱食同上, 但最後兩份餐點都來, 就是沒有沙律, 到counter一問, 原來是店員自己給漏了... 沙律配料類似沒有肉的凱撒沙律, 配烤芝麻醬, 而且是自己混醬, 失手的可能性很低, 除非沙律不潔或不新鮮~我的蒜香牛肉炒意粉, 汁醬已配好在鐡板旁, 自由決定落多少~ 實際上汁醬分量不多, 故一次全都下了, 同肉同粉一起大兜勻, 牛肉切得薄, 在熱騰騰的鐵板上快炒, 很快便能炒熟, 多炒幾下, 汁醬全都包裹著意粉和牛肉, 因為夠熱, 的確香味濃郁, 牛肉由生加汁炒至熟, 故亦能入味, 不過牛肉分量並不多, 而意粉亦稍為乾身偏硬~男友的珍寶牛肉飯同時有大量粟米粒和葱花, 不過汁料要由自己用枱上的調味料調較, 男友只要了蒜茸汁和黑椒碎炒香整板飯, 味道與我的牛肉又確實不同, 他的較為肉香惹味, 我的則醃料味重~ 當然他的珍寶牛肉分量比我的更多吧, 但他說好像與一般牛肉飯的分量沒有多大分別, 不知哪兒珍寶了~以這價錢吃鐵板餐, 不算昂貴, 但論質素和某些餐點的分量而言, 則有點不值了...…Read More

想不到會給同一間餐廳寫第三次食評  來了這裡happy hour好幾次了, 除了每次的蝦片送酒吃, 我倆間中都會點些小食~這次偶爾聽到鄰桌的男人與店員討論他們的食物, 提到這兒的叉燒十分出色, 我倆都覺得驚奇  從沒想過在一間酒店酒吧餐廳裡會有叉燒吃, 更遑論好吃不好吃~我們立即點了一客來試試, 價錢不菲, 差不多二百元一份, 但高級酒店嘛, 食物也不會便宜到哪裡去, 既然都已坐在這裡, 姑且花多一點錢一試虛實  熱騰騰的叉燒來了~ 分量合理, 大概每人平均分得約10分厚切叉燒件~ 叉燒外層色澤棗紅光鮮自然, 肥瘦比例約二八, 肉質鮮嫰有咬口不黏牙, 玫瑰露的味道深入其中, 雖然不是炭火烤出來, 但依然吃到濃郁的燒烤香味, 確實齒夾留香 果然比起外邊一些略有名氣的酒樓食肆出品的叉燒有過之而無不及~ 有一種吃完想再吃的衝動   說實的, 寫這篇食評時, 已不只吃過一次"獅子口裡"的叉燒了  …Read More

其實已不是第一次光顧這個隱藏於北區的小小cafe~因為鄰近羅湖的關係,上水早已淪陷... 被大夥"自遊人"和"水貨客"攻佔... 幸而在熙來攘往的街道上,隱藏著這間小小的歐式cafe,差不多要走到街角才能發現小店的踪影,已撇離了一系列的藥房、金飾店、家庭用品店等等,可以一得清靜和寫意~店內還有一個後園,不過在大熱天下實在難以接受坐在室外。因為臨近午飯時間,室內座位大概都已滿了,幸好我和友人來到時還剩下最後一張二人枱,只要遲5分鐘來也沒有了   雖然不是第一次來,但卻是第一次嚐她的lunch。我倆都點了南瓜蟹肉意粉,另捨棄了配餐的果汁,加錢轉為餐牌上的飲品~ 難得一來,總得試試她的特式飲品,慢嚐慢談吧  友人點了"初戀"~ 雖然我沒有喝到,但外貌真的很誘人,而且有種很清新的感覺~我的是柚子蜜咖啡,是凍飲的,很明晰的分開三層,最底層是甜而不膩的柚子蜜,中層是甘甜的咖啡,面層是蜜泡~ 雖然沒有任何奶的成分,但是入口香滑,味道細緻,柚子蜜的清甜與咖啡的甘香互相暉映,喝後亦有回甘的感覺,很好   南瓜蟹肉意粉十分金黃,伴碟有片暖烘烘的麥包和清新的沙律,顏色十分吸引~ 南瓜蓉包住每一條意粉,啖啖都能吃到南瓜絲絲的甜,蟹肉已一絲絲碎碎的混和當中,味道已被南瓜蓋過了~ 不過意粉質感偏軟,未能做到al dente~這裡確是家住北區的人一個偷得浮生半日閒的好地方~ 不過以附近餐廳來比較,或許對某些人來說,略嫌高消費了一點~…Read More

厚福街上一連有幾間甜品店,我和友人全都拿了票,看那間最快有位,最後就是這間聲稱來自韓國的Nun。原本眼看餐牌上的甜品十分鮮艷吸引,韓國來的應該不會差到哪裡去吧。可惜最後實在大跌眼鏡…友人點了macaroon雪奶,質感和外貌實際類似綿綿冰,再配上大量迷你macaroon和混入大量macaroon碎片… 純吃白色的雪奶就只有淡淡的奶香,但當混和macaroon同吃,本人立即投降,實在甜到極點 如何能吞得下這座雪山般的砂糖!友人吃到一半時,雪奶大部溶化,與macaroon碎混在一堆,實在令我想起洗手間裡的馬桶 (可惜忘了拍下溶化後的樣子…)本人點的綠茶紅豆雪糕,應該不會太難堆疊出來吧,眼看遲進來的都有得吃了,就我的沒有…催促了三四次店員才緩緩送上,店外不是還有大量客人在等候嗎…所謂的綠茶雪糕,其實只是在雪糕上撒上一層甜甜的綠色的粉末,除了甜以外,我真的嚐不出何來的綠茶甘香 紅豆蓉和丸子都是現成的放上去,沒有特別 環境擠逼,食物質素差,還要收這個價錢,根本物非所值 不會再有第二次了……Read More
