Having buffet is always a smart choice for birthday celebrations in particularly if plenty of guests are involved.  This year I decided to go for Yamm's lunch buffet in celebration of mum's birthday.  The chief reason is that Yamm has already attained a prestigious position in the buffet industry in town.  In additioon, my Mira Plus member discount and the associated cash coupon also prompted me to go and dine there.Given the large number of guests (over 20), I intentionally made the booking well in advance just to make sure that adequate seats would be reserved and we could have 2 long tables at the semi-partitioned areas along the side of the buffet hall which offered more privacy.  I have also made a special request for a birthday cake with candle and birthday message to my mum.  On the event day, my family and I arrived at 12noon and we were then warmly greeted and received by the counter staff.  Needless to say, the environment of Yamm was cosy yet elegant.  This was my first time seating at the semi-partitioned rooms and the impression was very good indeed.  We could chat in a casual and relaxed manner, we did not need to walk a long way to the food tables, and most importantly we received the same excellent service by the waiters / waitresses.  Credits should go to the young gentleman who arranged for the birthday cake for us, the lady who took the pictures / videos for us patiently, and another gentleman namely Kenneth who arranged for the bill check.  They were all very friendly and pleasant yet delivered their services in a very professional manner.Back to food, it is no doubt that both the food quality and variety fully meet our expectation.  Would specifically like to point out the following which merit appreciation -1.  Broccoli cream soup - freshly made, soup very dense and rich2.  Salad with smoked salmon - all vegetables are fresh, coupled with a lot of toppings and sauce to choose from 3.  Claws of lobster, mussels, etc. - fresh with ample supply4.  Kagoshima pork - meat very lean and tender5.  Sashimi rice - excellent taste, specifically made for individual guest6.  Ice-cream - many different flavours offeredOne thing worth mentioning is the lack of sliced cake which is a bit disappointing to those with a sweet tooth.  The cupcake is appealing but its portion is too large for dessert.  All in all, the dining experience there is enjoyable and we are all very satisfied with the meal.With the 25% off discount exclusively for Mira Plus members and the $100 cash coupon, the lunch buffet is even more worth the price.  I will definitely go there again in the near future!!…Read More
