Villa villa burger really lives up to its name and being the signature burger of the shop. The buns are lightly toasted that gives an extra crunchy texture while the 2 high quality juicy beef patties are nicely seasoned that gives the meat a more delicate and authentic taste. The fresh tomato and lettuce slice balances off the greasiness of the patties and mayo sauce and to top it off for a perfect burger, we added an extra sunny-side up egg which I highly recommend you all to do so. The bursting of the egg yolk in a burger is just too satisfying to watch plus it gives the whole burger an extra creamy texture.For a less heavy burger we also had the lemon chicken burger but don’t go thinking that it is any worse than their signature villa burger because they are not! Came here for lunch, the restaurant is definitely a decent place for a date or celebration with great food, services and also stylish interior.We took the 6 course lunch set ($880) overall, it’s really good value for money, especially with the generous portion they served. Amuse- Bouche Crab meat with ink puff - crispy skin 6/10Appetiser Maguro Tartare -raw tuna fish with avocado, very refreshing 7/10Beef carpaccio - served with small foie gras tube 7/10MainsLobster Bisque with ravioli - the soup was so rich and creamy! Absolutely love it and the ravioli was stuffed with lobster meats 8/10Fettuccine with carabineros prawn- this is my fav dish in here!! The buns are perfectly toasted and with pan seared foie gras with terriyaki sauce to neutralise with the greasiness, juicy beef burger (slightly well done but you can order the way you want your beef to medium rare or even rare), along with some fresh lettuce and raw onions. Credit to how they handle the raw onions that you won’t be able to feel the weird spiciness but rather sweet and juicy.For the snack we had the fried Camembert cheese that just melts in your mouth in one bite, really pairs well with a bottle of soda (or beer but you need to buy nearby since they don’t sell alcohol) and the deep fried squid lip is very chewy, tastes somewhat similar to a cuttlefish lip, the homemade hot sauce goes really well with it too I would highly recommend it. For the fries, they did it in a toasty way so good news for those that enjoy extra crispy snacks, and the spicy garlic powder gives an extra kick to the fries and bring it to a new level. A hidden gem in Sheung wan where they serve traditional Indian cuisine.We were first welcomed with a bowl of creamy tomato soup with a lot of ingredients and you could really feel the kick of pepper and spices in the soup, enjoyed it very much. Then followed by the Pani Puri, the traditional Indian finger food. Half mashed potatoes wrapped in a thin layer of round shaped cracker and to pour just the right amount of the slightly sour sauce in the middle makes it a fun enough dish to kick start the appetite. The Garlic chicken tikka served on a sizzling pan with a touch of spring onions on top, pretty heavy on garlic (good news for mad garlic lovers) but the meat is very tender and juicy, I would recommend to eat it with Bastami rice.Then come the Beef Madras and spring onion naan, which is basically the inseparable combo when it comes to Indian style curry. The curry is creamy with just a touch of spice, portion of the beef is generous and the quality of the meat is quite tender, feels somewhat like beef brisket to me. Spring onion naan is chewy, not too greasy and feels like an Indian version sourdough.For veggie, we went for Aloo Gobi, which is cauliflower with potatoes. Their sauce reminds me of the soup they served at the beginning of the meal but the texture is richer and thicker, which pairs well with the food surprisingly.For drinks, we didn’t go for any alcohol but instead, ordered Lime soda and Mango Lassi. It is my first timer for mango lassi, surprisingly good and not too sweetened as they use plain yogurt as the main ingredient.Overall, this seems like the traditional style Indian cuisine so don’t expect lavish decorations but the food exceeds my expectations.
