We live right on the street thought will try this place, it is spacious, waiters are attentive, we sit by a window booth but pity the glasses are laminated so cannot enjoy the beautiful city view. The menu has lots of varieties including hotpot but we chose normal dishes to try and they are quite good, however prices are not cheap. I went with a friend for lunch, have to share table, the place is spacious, they have set lunch & we ordered beef bimbibap & cold noodles with beef on side. The service is prompt & friendly, prices are very reasonable. I wish there are more veggies like spinach & beansprouts in their little appetiser dishes. My bimbimbap is good but again wish my spinach. I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant as I folllow Jen Balisi, the owner & also food influencer on social media & I have her cookbook from my daughter who is a fan. The restaurant is cute with open window dining seats, the service is helpful & friendly. Us four went for a birthday lunch celebration & we ordered one lunch set each to share. We ordered a noodle dish plus 3 other dishes with chicken, pork, shrimp which all comes with white rice or garlic rice. They are tasty but I found the chicken dish a bit too salty, the shrimp dish has very few shrimps. I passed by the restaurant all the time & want to try it out, the entrance is through office bldg. We had a window seat overlooking Wyndham St, nice & bright. The lunch menu is limited but mainly buns/burger which I am not interested. We went there with a few friends for dinner & I am surprised every one of their dishes are very good even my family is half Italian & we cook Italian food at home! Some are so good we have to order twice! We love the spicy vodka pasta, the fettucine, eggplant, octopus…actually all! There is a new DJ booth with big screen backdrop, perfect for a celebration party or even take up the whole restaurant for an event! Haven’t been to Peking Garden for years, of course the Peking duck is good, meaty & skin crispy but the pancake sheet is more gluey texture unlike the past & any other restaurant. The vegetarian bean curd sheet dish is very good, yummy with smoky taste.We were disapponted with the double fried meat (回鍋肉), big plate but very small portion. The stir fry vegetable with bean curd sheet is lack of taste. Xiao Lun Bao is decent but the vinegar is lack of ginger. Stir fried string bean (四季豆) is not fried enough & very little minced pork. This takeout is hailed from Sydney, just opened in Sai Ying Pun a month ago & can’t wait to try it. We ordered lemongrass chicken wings (5), spring roll which come with lettuce, chicken pho which has chunky chicken instead of thin chicken shreds like other places, the beef cold vermcelli comes with lots of beef as well. First time to this local restaurant with my Shanghainese friend, there are many other Mandarin speaking clients so must be authentic! This just opened in IFC in place of MarketSea which was also serving Malaysian/Singaporean food. The Singaporean reception can’t find my reservation when I said ‘Ng’ then I pointed out & she said ‘Ang’, guess she should first learn Cantonese pronounciation otherwise could be confusing. Decor is nice & modern, a good choice of some of my SIN/MAL dishes but we opt to share Malaysian’s Penang Chow Kway Teo & Singapore Katong Prawn laksa which both are not bad, but the extra bowl & spoon we asked to share the laksa seems like baby size, just hard to hold the spoon & eat for me as a woman with smaller hand than men. The side dish of okra & salad is extremely small only served in a sauce dish...the calamansi drink was good. Next time will have happy hour on the terrace. This two storey bar & restaurant just opened in Dec 2020, due to social distance guideline, no dine in after 6pm so I came for lunch. All the dishes on the menu is very interesting, we did not order from lunch set but from a la carte. I love every single dish including the mini sliders, fried chicken, spicy edamame, beef tacos, yakitori chicken, pork & peppers & fish ceveche. As time wind down to 3pm or so, the shades will go down a bit, light will be dimmed, music will be played by the DJ, a great hangout place indeed! My friend highly recommended this place for its value, we all ordered the NZ grain-fed steak lunch set at $168 with a further 35% promo discount. The venue is cute, one could have the huge fluffy bear to accompany in the seat. The ice tea’s icecube is in shape of bear, the lunch bread is a croissant. The steak came not very hot at all, there is hardly any truffle taste except for the mashed potato, our friend ordered medium rare and hers came very late after we follower up 3-4 times & us 3 already finished our steak. We had been to Honjo upstairs which is also from Pirata Group & we love it. We thought we will try TMK and it was not disappointing, it is fun, nice vibe, good decor, feels like I am in Tokyo. We ordered Korean fried chicken, fried squid, wagyu slices which is also in Honjo and is highly recommended! We ordered beer but later add as free-flow for $190 for 90 min so we had cold sake as well & the sake is really good. Passed by this Greek restaurant by accident and give it a try, love the high ceiling and the clean decor, we were seated in the small garden terrace which is nice in the Autumn season and away from the crowd. We love to come here with friends or family, the food is always good but I could tell service has improved, it is more efficient. Tai Kwun, the revived ex-Police Station now house many bars, restaurants & art exhibitions. It is in the heart of Central but with wide open courtyard to hang out which is very rare in HK!
