憂鬱週一,職務關係,到銅鑼灣工作。年輕同事帶老夫覓食,原來同事早已致電留座,故未需候座。居酒屋位於邊寧頓街天橋隔離,不算旮旯,但不起眼,地方頗小,低調隱世。價錢尚可,老夫點了一客胡椒雞扒定食。未幾,上菜,擺盤精美,器皿小巧別致。前菜是麵豉蒜頭,蒜頭沾滿橘紅色汁醬於藍釉試瓷碗中,色味俱全,既不刺鼻,亦不嗆口,難言其妙!米飯上有數粒黑芝麻,如白宣紙上飛灑數點墨彩,悅目,可見店主對食物賣相有要求。雞扒外皮香脆,乾身,肉質尚好,胡椒味稍突出,但不嗆口,加檸檬汁,清新可口,不油膩,若是盛夏之時,亦為佳選。味增湯尚可,未算出色。整體而言,不錯!是日午膳為繁忙憂鬱週一帶來點點生氣。…Read More

與友人外出,飢腸轆轆,唯天氣酷熱,不想食米飯,友人誠薦一餐室名麵尊。尊者,崇高之義,足見廚師信心。門後稍為多人排隊,於門外等候片刻入座。車仔麵餸選擇頗多,小弟點豬大腸、酸齋、咖哩魚蛋、五香牛腩配以幼麵加麻辣汁。另凍奶茶一杯。酸齋吸收香濃湯汁,開胃醒神。咖哩魚蛋口感略硬,辣味突出,有微淡陳皮香。五香牛腩肉質尚算軟嫩有嚼勁,小弟已入花甲亦不費勁,細嚼有香料味道,不錯。豬大腸肥美可口,醬汁入味,不錯。麻辣汁應該是店家自製,辛辣而有後勁,與湯汁混合後味道匹配。小弟喜幼麵質偏硬,不錯。凍奶茶略淡,茶味略淡,未算出色,有待改善。麵餸選擇頗多,每款皆用心處理,味道不錯,下次定必品嘗其他麵餸,惟飲料未算出色,若飲料有進步,定必錦上添花。於銅鑼灣鬧市來說,價錢合理,值得一試。…Read More

因社會動盪,心力交瘁,良久未有動筆之意。近日工作地點轉至東區,未知周圍有何美食,是日年輕同事帶小弟外出午膳,得知店內以日式咖喱招來,店外不斷有食客排隊,吾等眾人亦等了十五分鐘左右方能就坐。店內裝修簡單直接而有日式小店感覺,店員穿著統一風格衣服,可見店主對細節之執著,值得一讚。小弟點了一客咖喱雞飯,彈指間已上餐,淡淡咖喱香氣隨蒸氣徐徐上升,帶多片刻溫暖之感。米飯短小圓潤,富彈性,唯小弟偏愛泰國長米。咖喱微辛,齒頰留香,味道細緻富有層次。雞肉有調味,大件,味香肉濃。菜蔬大件,軟硬適中,以曲線裁切,別有心思,能嘗其鮮,唯小弟由立冠之年己不喜翠肉瓜。整體份量適中,非常好。新工作午膳時間倉卒,用膳完即要回去工作。若日後有閒逸之時,相信亦會再臨用膳。…Read More

數名同事不約而同推介此餐室,小弟趁週三為外出用膳之日,獨自一試。同事告之於公司附近有一新餐廳,名為1988,未知所謂何意,此組數字令在下回想1988年,為小弟來港第9個年頭,轉眼間竟有29年之久,剎時有唏噓之感。唏噓中步入餐室,室內裝飾簡約清新,沒有坊間常見泰國風格裝潢,不造作,惟平面設計上有點不搭配,水彩風格雖有清新怡人之氣,但整體氛圍卻有點不搭配,反而若以純字體作主調,可能更得宜。是日滿座,生意興隆,於門外稍候方能入座。在下點了黃咖哩牛腩飯加辣,泰式熱咖啡,黑松露朱古力作甜點。片刻,黃咖哩上桌,味香撲鼻,椰香徐徐滲透於空氣中。咖哩汁在鐵匙上產生反映出濃郁度的張力,此質感與嘴脣產生一種微妙而和諧的觸感,非一般快餐劣食咖哩能相提並論,咖哩進入口腔後滲透出陣陣椰香,香料味淡然迴盪於口腔內。牛腩肉質腍滑,雖牛味未算濃郁,但亦算合格。白飯硬度偏軟,在下偏好較硬的米飯,特別是配合有汁的菜。每一粒米飯配合咖哩汁後變得更出色,片刻已將米飯吃完。泰式熱咖啡偏酸,非在下喜好,在下偏好味道較苦的咖啡。黑松露朱古力外形似現代美術雕塑,朱古力醬令君聯想Jackson pollock的14號灰色,可見甜品師傅對甜品的熱情與想像,碟上的留白更呈現一種脫俗清秀之氣,坊間太多密密麻麻的大堆頭擺碟,無美感可言。朱古力味濃郁,質感細緻,松露之味偏淡。平時享用泰菜通常以芒果糯米飯或泰式椰汁糕作結,但是次午膳以精緻甜品配合又頗有新鮮感,充滿藝術氣息的精緻甜品與簡約的裝潢令君忘卻致身觀塘工廈區的忙碌,若日後有閒逸之時,亦會再臨用膳。…Read More

週三,年輕貌美(真的美)同事建議於老表黑羊米線新店進餐,羊肉性溫、禦風寒、補身,對氣血兩虧均有治療和補益效果,最適宜於冬季食用。縱秋分已過,炎夏似無意道別,街中遊走片刻已汗流浹背,小弟屈指一算,雖未到當造之期,但俗語既有「冬吃羊肉賽人參,春夏秋食亦強身」之說,預嚐其鮮亦自不錯。未見其店已聞撲鼻濃郁羊肉香,其香隨炎夏之氣溢進吾鼻,閉眼一瞬彷彿置身新疆大漠,黃沙萬里,金黃色地平線與無盡的天際如Marks Rotko之畫作般有攝魂之勢。小弟自幼甚少吃羊,祖父曾說羊乃有跪地受乳,具孝順之意,以不食,至祖父去世後方初嚐羊鮮,對其味大為驚喜,念念不忘。店員端上米線,湯碗其大如兩人臉,而蒸氣是肉香的昇華。肉湯色淡味濃,帶有陣陣羊肉之香。米線白如雪,米線軟硬適中,不俗。羊肉連皮帶有小片羊脂,令人垂涎,聞其味,未有太大膻氣,咀嚼,肉質細膩,不錯。羊肉米線之味令小弟靈魂遠飄,正是:萬里大漠無人蹤,風吹草低見牛羊!彳亍於天地間,孤影映千里......未幾,同事一聲叫喚令小弟從塞外回過神來,盖其欲嚐口水雞,小弟示好。小弟兒時家貧以雞為貴食,現外出用膳均想一嚐,見貴店有口水雞,吾等點一客作淺嚐,惜口水雞僅屬普通,辣味欠奉,肉質尚可。惟店內裝潢與視覺充滿「現代中國美學」,海報上「字字珠機」,圖片選材令人嘖嘖稱奇,不敢恭維。區區一碗米線湯粉,縱非昂貴午膳,然以小弟愚見,食事乃五感之事,店內氛圍/食具均影嚮其用膳之情,小弟實在不喜對其像素不足的羊山圖片牆紙共進午膳, 其圖之上有大量黑邊白色大字,不美觀,視覺煩擾。同事回應:「食你就食啦廢老,咁多野講!」小弟聞言後語塞、低頭。罷了,就此擱筆。…Read More

週五,天陰微雨。敝司迎新美男子同事入職,特外出用膳。美男子同事留有美式重機載之髮形,四肢略瘦有力,外貌不羈,談吐間滲透出文人氣節而不失幽默。美男子同事建議到一泰國餐室用膳,吾等眾人於微雨中穿插玻璃森林,遂到達觀塘海濱熟食中心。熟食中心以往主要為碼頭附近工作之百姓服務,時移世易變成老舊而不顯眼的熟食中心,是隱逸。
小弟點了一客蝦醬臘腸炒飯配椰汁涼粉冰,泰藉伙記端上時蒸氣漫舞空中,蝦醬香味四溢,令小弟食指大動。我急不及待將粒粒炒飯送進咀裡細心咀嚼,飯粒顆顆分明而有醬色,蝦醬味香但偏薄,飯質適中帶彈性,臘腸雖一般,但小油而不膩,雖未有過人之處,整體而言仍不俗,好味!惜椰 汁涼粉冰淡而無味,乃美中不足之處。小弟年少隨家母於南洋種田,椰樹冉冉,椰葉於熾熱陽光中搖曳,鄰居善種椰,造椰糖椰奶,時贈予我家享用,其椰糖之香撲鼻,足以令君心甜如斯,嘗其味足更欲回味半晝之久,配以清新涼粉享用乃人間之珍。惜來港後已難覓上品椰糖椰奶,記憶中的味道總是歷久而揮之不去。貌美同事點了一客豬頸肉炒飯,與蝦醬臘腸炒飯相比色略淡,豬頸肉味香質軟滑,兩炒飯同樣出色,置於桌上令食客舉箸不定,難以決擇。另一年輕貌美(真的美)同事點了一客泰式河粉,蒸氣攜辣味以泰式浪漫躍動,辣而不嗆,其香誘食客唾液甦醒,其味惑食客精神一振,河粉皎白如月,軟滑如絲,肉丸肉質結實,帶肉香,數類食材構成器皿中的大山大水。位於繁忙邊緣的隱逸愉悅了玻璃森林中營役忙碌的人,天陰微雨的天色中,總算疲倦的身心稍作安慰。…Read More

週三,初春有雨,年輕貌美同事早已致電訂座,吾等眾人於雨中步行至餐室,非常浪漫。餐室號談風再說,小弟不知其名何解,卻感受到幾分文人墨客之氣。店內蒐集了多間香江老舖招牌作擺設,皆為北魏書體,莊重敦厚,筆鋒下呈現昔日維城傳統行業繁榮日子,滄海桑田,昏暗鎢絲燈映照出落漠的影子,透著淡淡的憂鬱。招牌下擺放著不同文藝活動宣傳品及書本,為店內增添一份閒逸藝文之感。菜式名稱簡單直接,不會故弄玄虛。雞即雞,魚即魚。小弟點了一道雞,器具帶有匠人之感,粗陶配青色彩鈾食器,食物擺放無序似吳冠中之繪,跳脫活潑清新,蒸氣徐徐飄散於濕冷空氣中,與窗外風景呼應而構成一道都市美景,夫復可求。椰香樸鼻,惜雞肉略淡,量略小,綠色小漿微甜帶酸口味清新,外形可愛似鼻涕。友人亦滿意其意粉味道,洋蔥為心思之作--燒焦其中一邊裝飾而不影響味覺,令小弟大開眼界,蓋因小時候每次燒焦食材都被長輩責罵,若早五十年前有此覺悟,小弟應該會成為食材藝術家,將燒焦食材化為極致藝術表現方式。唯奶茶略為失色,色味欠濃郁而平平無奇。小弟雖為市井之徒,卻頗欣賞此餐室,簡樸而有大氣,食、用之美兼備,寂然清靜,大象無形,室內無地盤佬大叫伙記,亦無西裝保險佬喋喋不休通電,無OL投拆呢樣果樣雜亂粉陳之境,能專注食事亦人生之大道。…Read More

週三,天陰稍寒。年輕貌美同事告之,此冰室本店於屏山,為知名冰室,突進駐觀塘,即有媒體關注,每日海量食客驀名而來,小弟怕多人之地而未有光顧,等熱潮悄為冷卻才到此進餐。下午二時方去進膳,街角遠處已見有大量食客於門外等候,吾等眾人等了約二十分鐘方能入座,等候其間發覺客人中不乏美貌女性,時移勢易,當年小弟約女孩子外出都怕到冰室茶餐廳進餐而被冷眼,定必到西餐廳訂位進餐,如今貌美女性卻甘願於寒苦之天等候到冰室進餐,小弟不解,唯覺生不逢時,若能遲三四十載脫胎轉世定必如魚得水,唉。時也命也,小弟唯有滿心期待美食到來。招牌菠蘿包夾有蛋,蕃茄及牛油,麵包溫熱,惟小弟此包底不及金鳳茶餐廳那種包底香甜柔軟。秘製撈米線不錯,味不濃,頗有特色,略油膩。芫茜皮蛋豬膶湯米線,翠綠芫茜舖滿在熱湯上,豬膶質嫩唯味淡,湯味清新怡人,凍奶茶不錯,茶香味濃質滑,屬中上,如今尋得一好奶茶已尋瑰寶,好比中馬票,明星光顧不等於優質,多人打卡亦會中伏。…Read More

週五,雖入冬已久,猶雨水不斷,彷如與寒冬的錯配。自來港以來,已光顧此餐室多年,近年於觀塘工作,總是意欲再到此進膳。此印尼餐室食品地道,然老闆娘卻精通廣東話,其口音與家母相似,甚有親切感。今日,我依舊點了一客黃錦飯,即雜錦飯,作為今天的午食。進食時無次序之別,惟小弟常留炸雞塊於最後進食,小時務農,家貧,雞為貴食,珍而重之。炸雞肉質乾而不硬,香氣四溢。先吃青瓜,清新怡人,為午膳作序,雞蛋與香口花生作續,黃薑飯與炸椰碎為絕配。米飯分明不至油膩,薑味不溫不火,炸椰子碎是遊走於飯粒之間的遊子,兩者於舌頭上呈現南洋格調。巴東牛肉香辣醒神,肉質香腍,辣味消逝之前再急忙吃下炒豆菜,妙也。後以香炸雞肉作結,快哉。再呷一口南洋風味之Kopi(咖啡),令人忘卻窗外之寒、胸中之愁。此處食餚味道多年始終如一,雖非山珍,卻足以撼動味蕾,令人動容。…Read More
