We booked Mandarin Oriental Hotel for a birthday staycation , and the package came with the lunch at Aubrey which is very nice as I like Aubrey.When you walk in that long corridor to the entrance , you will feel this huge fusion culture with Japanese and English already . Usually I enjoyed the vibe at night which is romantic and very classy ., but since the covid restriction , there's no more night time dine in. we had this nice chill and yet still romantic experience on day time, which I will say is totally different vibe and nice also,Staffs are always welcoming and nice, especially the manager Enrico , he will greet you and prepare you the nice seating , checking if everything good time by time , making sure we have a fantastic experience while we were there as always.first time trying this three-layer bento set, thought it will be tiny and not enough at the beginning before seeing it.  Fact is , it is more than enough , we can not even finish it . starter with the steam egg cup, which is very smooth and soft. following the three-layers bento with 1 layer sushi, 1 layer veggies and last layer main course of your choice. combining with the modern and classy interior and deco, surely is a place for a nice date or celebration.…Read More

In the usual time , we used to think about Fine dining mostly or only at evening time. During this unusual time with the rule which restaurant only allowed to ope until 6pm.I found that Fine dining in the afternoon under the bright sunlight , actually it is totally another different experience.I had this lovely lunch experience at 8 1/2 Otto e Mezzo Bombana for my birthday treat. Walked into Bombana in the afternoon , feeling much more space and relaxing.We are being seated at this nice big sofa table next to the window with all sunlight we could have and very comfy . Staffs are super welcoming, and most lovely is being served by the Manager Antonello the whole time, you will enjoy the best experience if he is there for you.Generally the food is very high quality, presentation is like an art work , and the flavour is very balance and super tasty .We had about 2 starters , 3 main courses each and the desert with birthday cake .All the food has wine pairing and each portion is just perfect ! I was really satisfied . Another good thing is all the dishes that they served my boyfriend and I are totally different , since I love seafood and my bf doesn't eat seafood at all. This way of serves is just fantastic!My favour dish I will say pretty much everything, but if I do need to suggest, both salon and octopus starters , it is very delicious and the after tasted stayed in the throat is just beautiful. - Homemade Cavatelli with shellfish ragù and Hokkaido sea urchins , surely one of my favour too, it is flavorful and balance. It happened that it is the truffle season , so we had this simple but tasty truffle pasta, which I , myself would call it " truffle rain pasta" as when the chef put the truffle on the plate just looks like it is raining , and if you look at my pictures, you will see how much truffle it is on the plate as you couldn't even find the pasta .- UK raw deer with porcini crust, chestnut pure is another one that I am in love with. the thin crispy layer outside , combine the soft , yummy raw deer inside, it just amazing .I enjoyed this birthday fine dining experience a lot, and surely I would love to experience more lunch Fine dining since then.…Read More

I actually went twice lunch and brunch within a month at Bedu.they have this lunch menu that is easy to pick what you like for starter , main and desert to share. frist time I went that I picked the lamp chop , which is very delicious, and I even finished the bone with my hands in .really suggest to order this dish.second time we chose the skewer , although I prefer the lamp chop more, but the chicken skewer still taste good , and it is very moist too.sometimes you know some restaurant prepare good main but just serve you a very simple salad that doesn't taste anything .But this doesn't happened at Bedu, salad is absolutely the 2nd dish I love here, you will feel satisfy to just have the salad if you are vegetarian, surely a good option to go for.the other dish has to mention is the Honey baked feta cheese , that strong flavour melt into the mouth , you would want to order a second one .also this is good for gluten free customer, and they do take good care of gluten free customers with nice choices of dishes. one of my favour spot for lunch during this no dinner out time.…Read More

Have a lunch date with a girlfriend that didn't see for a while. Decide to go to Fashion Walk just pick one of the restaurant.I was walking back and forth a few times trying to see which restaurant I wanted to have lunch with.Finally chose this western restaurant, but didn't realise its kind of Spanish restaurant in the beginning.Checked the menu, and chose this foie gras paella dish, surprisely came with a small pan which is perfect for one person, also with this big piece of foie gras is very delicate and melt in the mouth, it tastes very good, didn't know I can find a lovely Spanish for lunch in hong kong since I came back from Ibiza. they have this lunch set menu that only cost HKD100 ish which is really ideal. and I was sitting at the outdoor,  which is the selling point of fashion walk restaurants, definitely, a new lunch spot for me, and maybe will try dinner when it opens up. …Read More

One of my favorite spot , they do proper Napolitan pizza if you looking for some.Most of the time I have dinner there, but it is also very nice to book their balcony /outdoor sitting , since the restaurant is located in PMQ, and the outdoor sitting is at the back , you can enjoy a really lovely day for the lunch/brunch when its a sunny day.We went for brunch this time, and the restaurant is full that they couldn't provide us a outdoor sitting during the main meal, but they do offer us to sit on a big tall table right next to the outdoor area, so thats not bad.we ordered cold cut and burrata, which never go wrong in italian restaurant. And burrata in this Neapolitan restaurant is even better !For the main I was craving for this seabass tartare , which I only had once exactly in gustaci. Unfortunately they changed menu, so I ordered the cooked seabass dish and it is pretty good too.we moved ourselves to the outdoor area while we were waiting for the dessert , so finally there's is some outdoor relaxing time.the only thing I would say is the staffs doesn't really know what they doing, and its not the first time. we ordered 1 drink, sometimes it came 2 portions.. or we order a drink for so long , check for few times , and they still doing do anything. there's few times my friend got annoyed and went to the bar to pick up the drink himself .Good thing is they has a manager that pick up and fix the problem right away which is good sometimes.but overall the food is very lovely , and you will enjoy it . …Read More

heard this new Italian restaurant from a chef friend, went on a weekday lunch.It is in a new building in wan chai on 25th floor, when we walked in it is so open space and full of sunlight , since they are surround by wide glass windows. it is quite enjoyable to sit in a restaurant full of sun light due to our current lock down situation.love the interior with everything, especially that big projector lopping Italian live videos, you feel even more Italian vibe. Like they made the efforts of their own water bottles , which is more sustainable.and I believe its my first time enjoyed to have vinegar with bread in a restaurant as usually it is super sour. their one is a bit thick and tasty .to the starter , we ordered to share - grilled cheese ( Grilled smoked provola mozzarella) , which is super super tasty, but you gotta eat quick , since when it cool down it became hard. - deep fried octopus ( "Polpoctopus" deep fried ) , light and yummy, you don't feel greasy at all and the main , we had grilled whole seabass ( spigola seabass , whole) , suprisely it is boneless, which is good for most of European , I enjoyed it a lot , and you don't even need to put any extra salt for the taste . I used to hate vegetarian restaurant or food , as I went to some restaurant it really taste like the same flavor with everything.friends booked this restaurant Miss Lee, at the beginning I was kind of concern about it .when we were at the door , it already changed my mind.The design of the door and interior is very nice, that you feel like you are at some fancy restaurant at first .when we sit down , we were being served a glass of Prosecco, which is lovely.and the menu is clean and modern , they only serve with lunch set menu , and the price is only HKD 200 ish with 3 courses dishes, which is very ideal .Food was fantastic , it changed my mind totally about vegetarian food. the whole menu is asian food base, the way it looks exactly like the dish that is not vegetarian , and it also taste exactly like the original dish , instead they change the meat to mushrooms and tofu I believe .but seriously the taste and the texture are totally like meat dishes which I love it very much , as I am not a vegetarian person although I love veggie.most important , if you looking for a gluten free restaurant , this is definitely your choice !services are very nice too, overall is a mind changing experience for me , and I will surely introduce to my friends and go back again .…Read More

Went to St. Regis for the first time , heard it for long but never been.we booked the st.regis bar for the lunch/brunch , they have the menu for brunch which is light menu , and I like as we can try a bit of everything since its the first time.When we sit down, they were so welcoming and prepare you the welcoming drink , but I didn't drink much and asked for warm water instead as I was not feeling that well myself that day, and instead asked for the warm water, they were so considering and keep refilling my water and it made me feel good. I have to say the first thing I arrived was being wow by the interior, as you can't really find an indoor restaurant our bar but not really feel like being stuck in door as they have this large window that you can see the Terrance outside, and yes they also have this lovely outdoor terrace for seating also.ordered the pumpkin soup to warm up my stomach , and it was smooth and lovely. following up with the foie gras with this sour jelly and gold foil , which is perfect combination, and yea it was a cold dish by the way.in between we also have these snack tartar and the spring roll which absolutely my favourites . the most thing really caught me is the cocktails , we tried different cocktails and lets day it this way - same same but different . you ordered something because you tried it and in your mind you know how exactly the flavor it should be more or less. but trust me , that's why I say same same but different , the taste of the drinks is completely different from our Brain memory or experience ! their cocktail is totally next level which is amazing but out of your expectation. one more thing to mention is their services , the bar manager Mario explains us details , ingredients and flavors when he serve us each drinks which engage the customer interest more. During this lockdown time again , I really enjoy this experience because the whole vibe was good , seating was very comfortable , and of course the food and cocktails was fantastic too . surely my 1st to go place from now on .…Read More

First time for happy hour , we booked in advance for 6 people at Eksotika bar , so we had this big square sofa seat in the center of the bar where we can see everything in the restaurant including the nice vibe . Love the vibe of the bar, it’s quite lovely and it is relaxing , very good for the happy hour as usually I either go to the restaurant or straight to Their music room . Ah yea they have this secret room called music room behind the bar for private party or event that you can book it . I quite enjoy it as it’s private and you can enjoy your perfect time only with your close ones . it was a sunny day out for hike, a friend of us suggested to do this easy hike from mid level to the peak , and booked this Indian restaurant .unfortunately with the misunderstand of communication , we only hike about 15 mins and that was the peak.so basically if you hike to the peak , Rajasthan Rifles is right at the end of the hike .first thing we see is their outdoor dining area. and I was just naturally with this happy mood when I see that , as I can't relay find this kind of open space dinning place.We booked the restaurant, so it didn't take us long to wait, and also the staffs are being considering and ordered us drinks while waiting.The boys decided all the food, so I don't really know exactly the name of the food.but overall it was an amazing and relaxing lunch dine out under a sunny day.although it was sunny , it still is the peak , and it was getting windy after we sit down for a bit.the staffs was super considerate and bring us a blanket each . and for the whole dining time, we love all the staffs are taking really good of us , checking if everything is good, following up dishes , the only thing might be the waiting time for the food is a bit long.one of my favourite dish is the mince meat with the bun, chicken tikka is also lovely , and of course all the curry dishes are nice too. we also order the dessert , and its one each on the menu, the only thing is I am not really a sweet person, and I had a bite it was way to sugary . it will be nice if they have a dessert more refreshing and less sweet for customer like me . but my friends killed all the dessert so it is tasty I will say .the only dish I am not really into is the broccoli with the egg , as it doesn't has much flavor on it , and the combination just not right to me personally.and again I think it just my personal taste , as we have 4 people dining together , and 2 of my other friends love this dish .to conclude , it is definitely a nice place for a weekend lunch with the open space and fresh air , surely good vide with the staffs too.I am surely want to go again ! …Read More

Chicken is my main meat supply ,so far this restaurant’s Hainanese chicken rice is my favorite ! The chicken is soft and full of flavour, and I’m the skin eater , the skin is not jelly at all and super shiny and yummy.This Oil Rice is my absolute love , top with the crispy garlic , I feel like I’m in heaven ! It’s my first to this lovely dumpling house.As a Chinese I wonder what is it really good about when my bf told me that he had a lovely and satisfied lunch there.So it happened we have a friend visiting hk for just a day , so there we are , and dumpling experience for all of us.What I have to say everything is wonderful ,The interior design , the atmosphere and ofcox the food ! The OM knew we are knew to the restaurant so he made the decision to add on few other dishes which was worth to tried !Here’s the dishes I really enjoyed :The spring roll , I mean it’s classic dish with an unclassic sauce , so it’s nice I admitted that I have a thing on sth cute and pretty, don’t you think this is so pretty and cute !!! And it taste lovely , especially the skin of this dumpling. okay I don’t really know most of the dish name , this is another dish ordered by the manager, another cute dish but with a twist of curry flavour in there which surprise me .
