星期天, 大少拖著村姑在中環覓食, 單是一條威靈頓街已食肆林立, 蓮香樓, 筷子記, 沾仔記, 豚王, 麥奀, Bee Two, 芽莊, 華豐等門口通通聚滿了排隊的人.終於來到一間門口一個人都沒有, 內裡6成滿的餐廳, 60-70年代裝修, 格仔地板, 餐廳呈L 型, 牆壁掛滿黑白照片..我倆被安排了一個較隱閉的位置.., 亦較焗促,由於近洗碗處,間中會有1, 2 隻蚊蠅來say hello...1. 芝士焗肉醬飯 $98:素來很怕吃街外用肉碎烹調的菜餚, 奈何今日很想吃芝士焗飯, 菜牌上只有這個近似選擇.材料只有肉碎和芝士, 份量豐足,醬汁濃稠, 帶點月桂葉味道, 微酸..白飯混著蛋絲,即使對著吹風口, 吃第一口到最後把整碟飯吃完, 飯仍熱騰騰, 這個絕對加分..唯獨是偏咸了少許.2. 來佬乾炒牛河 $98:這個是嚷著減肥的大少選的, "一碟的卡路里已是一天所需"這句說話已俾"食埋今餐先減" 6 個大字取代了!牛河本身看似份量不多, 其實吃下去, 滿嘴都是油..濃色的醬汁, 甜味較重, 配料有菇片和少量芽菜, 牛肉始終用梳打粉醃過..味道一般.的確, 以近$100 吃一碟乾炒牛河實在不便宜, 唯有安慰自己:環境寧靜, 吃完不用急著結帳離去..服務尚可, 只是有位女服務員欠一點耐性,還有懷舊的80-90年代英文歌伴吃..那天便聽著"慢版"的everytime you go away....一位loyal (來佬)的痴男(不是原唱人 Paul Young)唱著一首royal (來路)歌..隨著熟悉的歌曲, 腦袋裡浮起一些早已忘掉的前塵往事.. 誰敢說不值? 不值? 聽多首吧!…Read More

知道大少素來是個蟹痴,以往多數吃中式煮法的多。這回就試下西式吃法吧!坊間有此菜餚而又有水準的分别有的Munch, Grand Hyatt Steak House前者價格較相宜。中午時段,客人不多,只有三成滿,雖然被安排了一個窗邊位置,可是窗外景色實在有點倒胃,滿是冷氣機,水喉……情願欣賞室內的水晶燈與壁畫!打開菜單,全部主菜都可以另加錢配湯,咖啡或茶。價格介乎$80至$150不等!噢,怎麽不見蠔湯與蟹餅?詢問之下,才知道自己擺了烏龍,這二款菜式要待晚市才供應!幸好那位男服務員主動幚我們詢問廚師,可否特别為我們烹飪,回覆是一個令人窩心的答案!在此要多謝那位體貼的服務員和包容而出色的大廚!我們點了:crab cake  $118 蟹餅daily soup $20 什菜湯saltimbocca $83 南瓜茸伴火腿卷雞胸肉set lunch $83 芝士焗紐西蘭青口伴芝士意大利飯~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~1. 先來是混入西芹,蕃茄,紅蘿蔔,蘑菇的什菜湯,很清淡,伴吃的麵包則放涼了,很齦!整體很一般。可惜沒其他湯選擇!2.之後是這店的招牌菜,蟹餅賣相美極了,像一朶花兒,頂層是用薄脆盛載著火箭菜沙律,用刀輕輕切開蟹餅, 可感覺到外皮的鬆脆, 內裡還冒著煙呢!(低讚, 最喜歡吃夠熱的食物)一絲絲的蟹肉只是混入少量洋蔥..的配菜, 調味做得剛好, 醮著旁邊的千島汁使味道更清新!3. 芝士焗紐西蘭青口伴芝士意大利飯烤得焦黃的芝士均勻地覆蓋著青口, 頓時把平凡的急凍青口添了靈魂, 試吃了少許, 中間的risotto雖然沒有正宗的軟中帶硬, 但每顆飯粒都充分沾上芝士汁, 汁濃兼且溫度夠熱, 嘩.. 真的要如店名一樣,大口大口的嘴饞, 才夠暢快! (美食當前, 村姑是不顧儀態的! 大少, 可以試吃多幾口嗎?)很久以前, 已在亞士厘道舊店品嚐過Munch 的risotto, 水準一直保持至今!4. 南瓜茸伴火腿卷雞胸肉懷著期望的心情去吃這道菜, 卻換來極度失望....首先, 南瓜茸只是微暖, 甚至可以說是涼了, 完全可以想像一團涼的糊狀物體有多難吃?白白浪費了南瓜的清甜....用上帕馬火腿卷著雞胸肉...應該是一個好配搭, 奈何香草味太濃, 加上過咸的火腿, 鞋口的雞肉...真是天衣無縫地難吃...害得村姑一邊吃一邊望著大少的risotto....最後的咖啡, 更是水準以下....下次還是選擇晚膳較好, 價錢雖然是午餐的兩, 三倍, 相信質素較有保證, 選擇亦較多!…Read More

走過熟悉的街名,住了二十年,也離開了二十年。拆的拆,搬的搬。别人盡量保留舊的,香港就盡量建更高更新的.餐廳位於高尚住宅的1樓, 踏出升降機, 迎面的是一隻可愛的wooly pig.轉個彎是酒吧區域, 中午時份...酒與酒杯仍在熟睡中.繼續走, 經過開放式的廚房, 便是寬敞的進餐區.陽光透過落地窗戶照得一室更加明潔, 牆上的鳥群與充滿詭異的童話仙境,給懶洋洋的心情添了一點夢幻.我們點了三款食物:前菜: Egg Meurette $85 (red wine poached eggs, pork cracklings, goats cheese, leaves, smoked bacon dressing)嗜酒的他, 這個源於法國Burgundy 區的紅酒汁配水煮蛋是必然之選, 淡淡的果酸, 味道絕不遜於慣常用的荷蘭汁,更精彩的是那兩卷淡黃色的脆皮外層包著羊奶芝士, 濃烈的芝士味, 連我這個芝士控也受不住,看他吃得滋味, 男人似乎真的比較喜歡騷貨!至於伴菜的豬皮和煙肉, 香脆可口, 而少量菇類剛好中和那一份油膩.主菜: Croque Madams $105 (Brioche, melted gruyere, pork jelly, sixty ate egg)選擇這間餐廳, 主要是為了這道菜, 事前看了有關評語與照片, 嘩..不得了..brioche, cheese and egg 呢款組合實在難以抗拒.的確論外觀, 令人垂涎, brioche 做得很好, 即使涼了仍是軟熟無比.蛋原本是水煮的, 但我改了scrambled egg, 也不錯..中間夾著3片厚厚的豬腩肉, 頓時想起wooly pig!坦白說, 這位女士頗令我失望, 個人口味問題, 覺得配火腿絕對比豬腩肉更佳, 起碼多了份咸香少了份肥膩. 而最最最...不滿是芝士份量奇少, 除了表現薄薄一層, 便再找不到影踪!看來要再另外尋覓一位有內涵的女士了!主菜: Beef & Guinness pie $185 (Beef short ribs, parsnips, celerime, pickled carrots, manchego pastry)看見pie 字, 以為是一個焗批, 原來只是用一塊偌大的芝士脆餅覆蓋著菜餚.薄薄的一片, 鬆脆而充滿芝士香味, manchego 是一種來自西班牙的芝士..下次逛芝士店時要留意下先...牛仔肉有點失準, 有1, 2 塊明顯過熟, 需要點牙力去品嚐, 幸好略帶甜味的醬汁能帶出肉味.伴菜是一些烤過的紅蘿蔔, 白蘿蔔, 味道一般.這道菜賣相比味道好, 亮點是那塊芝士脆餅.最後以一杯高質素的capuccino 畫上句號.曾經每天夏天放學必定在樓下的士多買一支鳳仙雪條解暑, 然後跑過隔鄰雀仔街,看著籠裡的彩鳳吱吱喳喳.冬天就來一支暖暖的麥精以減寒意,臨近聖誕節, 就會留連士多旁的萬邦與大方書局, 選購聖誕卡.誰想到三十多年後, 會坐在樓上吃著Croque Madams,望著窗外, 若干年後又會另一番景致, 恐怕不變的只有"船街"二字.…Read More

今天行過發現了她, 上個月經過好像還未有..身為綠茶 fans, 更係要試試 @$12size 很細個, 蛋糕的綠色較自然, 沒有bread talk 賣的深和artifical蛋糕質感似 muffin, 碎碎的, 內裡竟然有很多紅豆粒..不硬但味淡..至於最緊要的綠茶味, 則比甜味蓋了..味道是 bread talk 賣的較濃..有點失望...自從donq 搬了位置和開了北角分店, 發覺廚房面積細了, 而store room 就大了很多, 很多麵包都是從工場運來, 不只袋裝麵包, 有時見到單個麵包都是放在一個個膠盤上, 層層叠起來..相信在店內焗製的麵包種類不多…Read More
