友人為慶祝本人生日,一早預訂了fofo及準備好菜單.坐在落地玻璃窗旁的二人枱,感覺很舒服,儘管窗外只有高樓大廈及繁忙的街道.我們先叫了2杯mocktail - Ginger & Lychee,味道清新,淡淡的荔枝味,薑味略為少,不過仍不錯.是日菜單如下:1. Tomato bread烤過的麵包塗上生蕃茄蓉,附上數粒橄欖,味道一般,如能在剛烤好麵包即塗上生蕃茄蓉即上菜更佳.2. Lobster bisque soup濃濃的龍蝦味,湯底沒有下cream,故質感較薄,喝至最底略醎.配上一塊薄薄的餅乾,整體ok.3. Scallop ceviche, avocado & crispy shallots帶子剌身配脆脆的炸乾蔥絲連牛油果醬,似中菜,有新鮮感.做頭盤最適合不過.4. Squids with black squid ink 將墨魚身砌成一條條像闊麵,加上墨魚汁,看上像普通的墨魚汁闊麵,吃上才知是魷魚,很特別呢!份量不多,卻易飽肚,不妨一試.5. Crispy suckling pig4件燒乳豬,雖然及不上廣東式乳豬,但卻是另一種食法,豬件半肥半瘦,豬皮略脆,多點汁更好.6. 由於友人喜歡食馬仔,機緣巧合下看到一本書推介順香園的馬仔,於是親自前往火炭總鋪(其實是造餅工場),買新鮮馬仔送給友人為生日禮物.由火炭火車站步行約十多分鐘,很容易便找到該工業中心,到四樓的某一邊,便看到"順香園"門牌,入內後,很多裝滿各式各樣食品的紙皮箱放在地上,你要甚麼便自行取出,然後叫阿姐計數.食品有老婆餅,西樵大餅,馬仔,嚤囉酥,合桃酥(有大件及細件裝),香蕉榚,蛋散,煎堆等........找不到想要的食品可以叫阿組幫你,雖然她很忙,不過很有禮貌.買了西樵大餅,馬仔,嚤囉酥,合桃酥及香蕉榚共十件食品,只不過是33元,那一刻才驚訝,原來香港仍有又平又好味的本地食品,為甚麼我們不去珍惜這些老字號,只懂得去幫襯d食物又貴又普通既連鎖店!我是一名70後的港女,未食過嚤囉酥,原來內有椰蓉,一口氣便吃了三個.西樵大餅很鬆軟,一包兩件,很快又食完.在當今社會,沒有華麗包裝,沒有廣泛宣傳,沒有超市代售,當然很難吸引到市民(特別是年青人)購買,但順香園仍然能生存至今,賣的就是真材實料及相宜的價錢.我會再去入貨的.繼續支持支持!…Read More

2008年,第一次嘗試到Shake'em Buns的Burger,感到十分興奮.每次一想吃Burger,一定會選擇它.今時今日,百物騰貴,鋪租急升,某日到其銅鑼灣店,才知已結業.連幾個月前幫襯過的灣仔店亦結業了!只得中環店仍然經營.明知其水準已不如前,但基於一份感情,昨日特別親臨中環店,打算食"告別宴".下午6時到達,只見一位男職員一腳踢,收錢及製作食物和飲料.雖則人客不多,但他已忙得很,卻有條理地及認真地製作食物,更禮貌地回應客人的要求,值得一讚!我和友人叫了Missionary及Magical Mushroom with Fries,兩杯Big John(banana milkshake).個飽雖然細咗,不過水準有以往的7成,熱辣辣的麵包(面頭有好多芝麻),剛煎好的漢堡扒,還有很多磨姑,只是醬汁可再多一些更令人滿足.......薯條方面,一般水準.Big John方面,略甜,但仍不錯.見到哥哥仔認真製作食物,加上食物水準有以往的7成,我和友人決定繼續支持Shake'em Buns.希望中環店繼續經營下去,否則要食burger又少了一個選擇.…Read More
