We went to this restaurant quite often before but have not been there for a while, we came today for a leisure lunch and have ordered five dishes.  Honest to say, the quality was not as good as before.Quite interesting is the Tung Yam Kung Soup was very sweet and when the waiter routinely asked us if the food was good, I told him that the soup is surprisingly sweet and was not the same taste I previously enjoyed.He answered politely "Yes, we added sweetness to the soup.  In fact, we  can customise sweetness in all our dishes.  Next time, when you order Tung Yam Kung Soup, you can request less sweet."After hearing his suggestion, I first thought of telling him more of my comment -  the Crab Meat and Pomelo Salad had only few shredded crab, Thai Green Curry with Barramundi was too salty......I better not commented more.…Read More

本來不打算寫這店的食評,但今日回家在Openrice查看其他對此店的食評後,不得不寫一些感想。今天第一次參觀故宮博物館,還去了列支敦士登王室收藏名品 的特別展覽。 博物館既然在館內特別預留對海的空間為餐館區,應該想參觀人士在觀賞館內的珍藏品幾小時後,也可中段唞唞氣,在餐館吃過午餐,或下午茶,然後再返回館內繼續鑑賞。可以這麼說,這些餐館雖由獨立投資者經營,但在某程度上,參觀人士會當它們是故宮博物院的一部份。  這就像我們去不同商場,高級商場的食肆和中擋商場自然有區別。 同樣,我們對位於博物館的餐館也會對它們的服務、質素是有期望的。今日我和太太點了清燉牛肉麵、花雕雞湯麵(配香葱雞肉)和滷水豆腐。清燉牛肉麵的牛肉是肥牛,完全看不出是清燉(見圖),怎知回家看了上年9月17日的食評,那位食客點了安格斯牛肉麵,安格斯竟也用的是肥牛(分別是加上麻醬而已),這不是有點欺人嗎?另一碗花雕雞湯麵,葱雞肉塊件砌得薄薄,肉質不太嫩,有點乾。 滷水豆腐非常濕漉漉,沒有滷水味。兩碗麵雖外表賣相尚可,但烹調質素就差天共地。而最令人啼笑皆非是店員來收拾我的牛肉麵的碗時,竟在我面前將盛載滷水豆腐的碟上的滷水汁一股腦兒倒在牛肉麵的碗裏,並將碟子疊上麵碗拿走。  結賬為三百三十元,以質素來論頗貴,更失望是,它令人對故宮博物院打了折扣。 誠希博物館應對館內的餐館質素也要像對館內珍品一樣有嚴格的要求。…Read More

為何沒想過做甜品是要向客人負責?

一個客人,在電氣道那麼多食肆中選中一間幫襯,在某程度那客人對此店是有所期望。 一客芒果豆腐花,價錢為$40,芒果和豆腐花份量少,糖水卻浸得滿滿。 本人嚵吃甜品,尤其是芒果豆腐花,差不多每次到訪香港那一區的甜品店,都會品嚐這款甜品。今次,當店員奉上這碗甜品時我徒然感到失望,實在不敢相信一間甜品專門店連最基本的甜品也可以做得那麼馬虎。 我離開店後,上OpenRice 查看食評,真後悔沒有早點看,原來已有那麼多過來人評得更徹底。 我不禁心感詫異,難道店員沒有認真去檢討自己的甜品質素問題,堅持我行我素?我給了$40,換來失望,物非所值,心想,做好一點不是太難吧!…Read More

今日和客人午饍至下午三時半,餐後駕車接太太回家途中時,她提議到大圍顯田街巿一趟,為明晚宴客準備。在顯田街泊了車後,太太突然想去街巿前來一個下午茶。 雖中午我已飽餐一頓,但亦隨她意,和她一起沿著顯徑街尋覓有那一間值得我們可忙裏偷閒的食店。 這半年來,顯徑上徑口村有多間新式村屋落成,一及二層為住宅,地層為商店或食肆。逛著逛著,在第二巷樹立的一個部份以日文寫的餐館指示牌吸引了我的注意,蓋因在這個星期內,我在某串流服務忙著追看日本著名劇集「深夜食堂」,現滿腦子都是日本地道美食。 因著愛屋及鳥的關係,我已立定主意要試試這店,並沿著指示找到位於第二巷內的這間小店。 店前放著四張高櫈,而店內有五張枱,內裏裝飾儼如日本的街巷食店。我仔細看看餐牌,菜式選擇沒有像一些港式日本菜館不倫不類,而是頗有心思只做日本地道菜,貴精不貴多,每道菜式還有中、英、日翻譯,頗認真。 而最讓我驚奇是餐牌有一道「奶油味噌野菜燉雞腿肉」的菜式,原因是昨天我剛看了「深夜食堂」第十六話,劇集主題正是介紹 「奶油燉菜(雞)」這道菜。我本想點這道菜時,太太建議點紅酒燉牛肋條,因我們明晚宴客其中一道菜正是紅酒燉牛肋條,今次正可趁機試試,看看有沒有一些烹調技術可以偷師。主菜可加$22升級套餐,奉送是日餐湯和飲品。 我們還點了日本薯仔沙律小食一份。紅酒燉牛肋條燜煮恰好,肉嫩帶甜。 日本薯仔沙律做得很地道,材料為碎雞蛋、薯仔、紅蘿蔔,配上蛋黃醬,搓成球狀,很易入口。太太笑說這沙律也可以偷師,下次在家宴客做這小食,小朋友一定會喜歡。太太對今次的「意外收獲」十分雀躍,事實上這半年在大圍沒有找到讓我們滿意的新食店,我們已有共識下一次光顧時,那道「奶油味噌野菜燉雞腿肉」會是首選。Heston B 脪月藍…Read More

apbp6kdgyc8v 懷疑openrice收錢刪留言!我是有收到郵件說已審批!一星期前由元朗出到顯徑去試蛋包飯,由於我是不會打針,不會堂食。但去到被告知蛋包飯不能外賣,永久blacklist!就算不用打針,都不會再去試!

今日下午和太太到又一城逛逛,臨在家出發前特意在其網址尋找心意餐館下午茶,芸芸中選擇了這餐館。我們懷著很高期望到訪,整體服務和點心尚好,價錢略微貴。本來算是一個頗寫意的下午茶,卻被一樁的事件掃了我們的雅興。一位穿黑色男士在一座位工作中,應是這餐館區域經理或上司之類,而對面坐的是同樣穿著黑色衣的女士,相信她是餐館的經理。 這位男士不知是否要顯示自己的權威,不斷用一些帶有揶揄、粗俗的口氣和對面的女士訓話,持續半小時,十分煩厭。若他是這集團的高層,是否犯了服務業最致命的錯誤?他高聲吆喝的口氣不但破壞了食客來的雅興,也大大影響了餐館的聲譽。下次若我們再有興致到訪,一定要先看看這位男士會不會在場,以防再一次耳根不清靜。Heston B 脪月藍…Read More

用心制作的西式蛋榚

昨晚,好朋友 Kevin 和他太太到訪我家晚餐,特別買了一盒甜品,說我會很喜歡。我和太太今晚烹煮各司其職,炮製幾道菜款客,前菜為Pumpkin Soup,Bruschetta,主菜為 Paella 配上Spanish Tortilla。飯後我們鼓腹含和坐在客廳閒聊,稍休片刻我己等不及去準備甜品,想品嘗一下朋友的介紹。 盒內共有四款西式蛋榚,計有香橙蛋榚、士多啤梨蛋榚、香蕉合桃蛋榚和蘋果玉桂蛋榚,制作頗為精美。這款蛋榚我多年前在外國工作時常常吃,據聞起源自北美,已有八十多年歷史,最初用香蕉為主要材料,之後人們再加入不同水果和原料,變出不同食譜。為方便之利,我將每個蛋榚切成一半,然後四款分成兩小碟,一碟予 Kevin  和他太太,我和太太另享一碟。 太太很醒目,立即預備了伯爵茶,是品嘗這款甜品的好配搭。 在她備茶時,我趁機用 HomePod 播放著名意大利歌手 Eros Ramazzotti 多年前的歌曲。四款蛋榚做法一致,麵包質感鬆香,每款配上不同材料,口味各有特式,材料配合恰如其份,確是能做出西式蛋榚的神髓。 我認為這四款蛋榚有著互相輝映的魔力,最佳方法是每款也吃一口,讓味蕾盡情體驗。Kevin 今次的小禮物可算為今晚添上神彩,尤其是對幾年未能出遊的我們來說,今晚讓我們痴想一番,幻想去了歐洲小鎮共享盛宴,度過一個喜樂滿溢的晚上。Kevin 此時才補充說,甜品是一間在新浦崗開了不到三個月的小店精心制作的。 蛋榚特別用了菜油代替牛油,配上新鮮時果和鮮奶制作。 士多啤梨蛋榚更特別用了乳酪代替牛奶,香蕉合桃蛋榚則另加上楓糖漿配製。店主也會因應客人要求,在甜度方面作出適當調較。 原來,店主對烹煮很有自己的理念,堅持努力制作健康及好味的菜式和甜品。我奇怪 Kevin怎會知道那麼多細節,他說他三月初買了一盒回家,兩個寶貝女兒吃了很是喜歡,每星期都嚷著他去買,他很快就成為了熟客了。我相信我也很快加入熟客群的一份子。…Read More

I have not thought of writing a comment but I could not help to wake up this early morning and wrote this.We have been customers of this restaurant for many years and never in doubt of their quality.  We went to Festival walk for some late shopping and decided to dine here before returning home.We were quite tired and quickly ordered the dinner for two set menu: Clam Chowder, Roasted Half Chicken, Seafood Risotto.The breads for Clam Chowder were hard. I tried to use the knife to cut the bread and failed.  I have to say this is the worst Clam Chowder I have ever ttasted. The half chicken was way overcooked, meat was stiff and not tasty at all.  The risotto, on the contrary, was too moist.  One of the mussels had a strange smell.As for the dessert, I am sorry that I could not recall what I had.  It was indeed a great disappointment.  The disappointment is because this is the restaurant which I respect a lot for many years.  What is wrong with this quality?…Read More

我們去錯了,期望落差了

我曾頗活躍地寫食評,因疫情關係,差不多攔筆一年。 今日在這餐館的經歷,忍不住要寫一寫我感受。幾年前報章推介此餐館,特此前來幾次,對餐館的印象蠻不錯。 今日下午駕車到九龍城買東西給媽媽,本來買完東西便驅車回家,喜見前面有一私家車泊離咪表位,立即泊入。時間是3點許,我們想想不如找家店下午茶,不約而同想起這間店。 怎知換來一肚氣。到埗時,餐廳內已有幾枱客人,有幾兩張空枱的杯碟還未收拾。店員將一張近門口的四人枱清理後,指示我們入座。 我們點了一碗豬肉蝦檬粉和一客下午茶(豬肉腸+迷你檬+粉卷+飲品),飲品選了港式奶茶。等了二十分鐘後,店員才給我們兩杯水。 隔鄰的二人枱,枱面的杯碟待了同樣時間還未清走。 察看情況,樓面原來只有店員一人,她沒有因應客人多而加快腳步,而是好整以暇,慢條斯理地工作。等了三十分鐘後,我忍不住問店員,若是還未開始準備我們點的東西,不如取消吧。 她不慌不忙回答幾次,說正在準備中。  可能因我的「催促」,五分鐘後她端上一杯奶茶。 奶茶溫度不熱,牛奶成份多,說不上是港式奶茶。再等五分鐘後,店員備上那客下午茶,兩小串豬肉腸,兩小塊粉卷和一個迷你檬。天呀! 這三樣東西都應是未開店前,可以一早預備的東西,幾分鐘內已可以完成,為何需要那麼久準備?  再等五分鐘後,店員終備上那碗期待已久的豬肉蝦檬粉 (合共等了四十五分鐘)。一間好餐館,若食物質素高,如我朋友常說「好的東西是值得等的!」。 但今次,我們不要太多遐想,整體食物平平無奇,豬肉腸又乾又鹹、蝦檬粉的湯卻是甜甜的,像越南甜酸汁,蝦肉淡而無味!結帳時,我忍不住和店員說為何要準備那麼久。 以下是對話內容: 我: 四十五分鐘實在太久了 店員: 光顧的客人都OK等 (我想她意思是光顧的客人都來悠閒,不介意等)我: 但我們點的東西很簡單,應該很快便可以備上?店員: 若你點麵包,還要耐些!-離開餐館後,我對太太說: 盛惠二百元,等了四十五分鐘,吃了八分鐘,質素差劣,最後店員還不得要領,反唇相譏,換來一肚子氣。這只怪我們去錯了餐館,期望大落差,是自已招來的。歸根究底,都是那位讓了車位給我們的仁兄的錯。…Read More

banhmibakery 跟據當日cctv及單據紀錄,此客人由下單到埋單,全程係40分鐘,真心唔知咩30分鐘又5分鐘又再5分鐘,重未計食完坐吓嘆埋杯水,如果寫食評只為傷害人而從中得到自己想得到嘅,祝你哋成功名利雙收

合意的日本麵店

去了跑馬地辦點事後,下午百無聊賴駕車去了海港城。 到達時已是五時,我們趕緊去找食店,冀在六時前提前吃晚餐。這店平時一向有一班年輕人排隊,今天今日商場人流稀少,門前人龍沒有了。店員在門前為我們量了體温後,帶我們到近窗口位就座。 店員這時對我們說這時段是點一送一優惠,主菜、飲品都享有這優惠,加一照計。我們點了適量豚骨蝦湯拉麵湯底和特濃蝦汁叉燒拌麵,並點了綠茶和烏龍茶。我曾經在香港光顧了很多「過江龍」的日本拉麵,每次吃完都有點失望。 曾想過,是否在日本光顧這些名店時,心裏已加了分數,所以例必讚不絕口?  有一間出名壽司店,每次去東京,差不多一到埗行李未執拾便去朝聖。他們在旺角開店時,我第一天就去光顧,但感覺質素和日本是有一些差距。 同樣,一間以醬油麵馳名的日本店,在香港品噹時卻覺得太油。 那麼,究竟是香港店有落差還是我們一廂情願?(感覺上日本地道店永遠是好些?)說回此店,兩碗麵備上後,我倆不約而同拿起勺去嚐嚐蝦湯。 嚐一口後,腦裏回憶起久違了的濃濃蝦湯味。上一次我們體驗這樣的蝦湯是一間在灣仔的麵店,可惜老閭退休後,蝦味也隨他走了。據聞此店每日以大量甜蝦蝦頭新鮮熬製,用上北海道的海洋鹽,再加上經熬煮過後的蝦頭磨碎的蝦粉,才能造出濃濃的蝦湯。拌麵的醬汁也同樣出色。我們一邊吃一邊想起昔日日本之旅,真希望疫情一過可以立即飛往北海道。今次的百無聊賴地逛,意外驚喜,值得,值得!…Read More

今日和太太去跑馬地辦一些事。不知不覺,上次到此區已是上年十二月,短短八個月,有些店舖因疫情關了,亦有些在這期間萌芽起來。這間在橫街的小店,店名是Banh mi Pate,意謂越南麵包,是酥脆法式麵包,撒以蛋黃醬,配料通常是豬肉、雞肉、醃製蔬菜、黃瓜和香菜。雖然此店主打是越南法式麵包,我們卻點了越式香茅牛肉撈檬和越南扎肉湯河粉。在櫃面負責接單的女士應是地道越南人,而在小小的廚房工作間共有五員工,我當時想單是人工費已佔了成本大半,做小店是需要靠多勞多得。這店主要做外賣,堂食有六個牆吧位,盡用空間。等了十分鐘,以紙製的碗盛載的撈檬和河粉準備了。 份量足,味道地道,簡單,沒有什麼取巧,此情此境,在跑馬地的橫街的越南小店,兩人坐在吧椅吃兩碗地道越南特式美食,仿如身在越南,或在法國十三區的越南小店享受美食。(疫情期間幻想自己在旅遊中是很需要的!)我們逗留在小店半小時,不斷有巿民魚貫排隊買外賣,相信此店頗受鄰居歡迎。奇怪餐單大部份菜式 (粉、檬、小食)都是一律每款$68,可能店主覺得方便計算,但我們倆人本來想點一個小食,但因為價單是一樣,就會直覺份量會不會太大,或是價錢是否偏貴,最後反而不點了。下次再到跑馬地時,我們必會再次光臨。Heston B 睎月藍…Read More

本人不算是很挑剔的客人,有時餐館無意的過失我是不太介懷。此餐館我們差不多每兩星期都會經過但從未光顧。上星期朋友向我們大力推介此店,說他上月光顧此店,覺得意大利菜做得頗地道,恍如驚世發現。於是,我們今天特別乘港鐵到北角來此餐館一試。我們大約一時十八分進入餐館,那時只有一桌坐了兩位客人。一位頭髪有點白、身穿短褲的男士,用手指示意近吧台的一張四人枱。 甫坐下我一舉頭,眼前駭見有一探熱機正正向著我額頭,原來男士要為我量度體溫。之後男士轉身向我太太額頭一恍,她也「乖乖地」接受測驗。然後,男士又拿著消毒液樽向著我(及我太太),全個過程沒有說話。 我那時想,為顧客體溫量度前,禮貌地說一聲不是很基本的服務嗎?我開始對我朋友的介紹有所懷疑。我們拿起放在桌上的午餐餐單,菜式選擇多樣,有Pizza、意大利粉、Risotto、三文魚、豬扒等等。 我正開始和太太討論應選那款菜式時,這位男士已拿著紙茟站在我太太旁,身體形態好像催促我們快快點菜。我們立即快快從餐單選了蕃茄海鮮意大利粉和三文魚。太太並問男士今天是什麼湯,他回覆是西芹湯。 一分鐘後他回來向我們說今天餐湯其實是蕃茄湯,問我們接受否? 我心中頓有所想;莫非今天因只有寥寥幾個顧客而忘記今天是什麼餐湯? 還是發現西芹湯已乾塘,所以要轉蕃茄湯?想來想去還是不太明白。說起主菜,三文魚份量大、香口。但魚皮煎得太燶,肉有點多油,好像沒有在上菜前用衛生紙吸油,至令薯菜亦沾多了油。 番茄海鮮意大利粉份量足,材料新鮮,不欺場。飲品我們點了凍檸茶和 Cappuccino。後者做得很有水準。第一次光顧,雖不能算是地道意大利煮法,但菜式算頗有質素。當我高興地和太太說這頓午餐可補救前段的服務態度時,這男士趨前在枱上放下帳單,時間是一時五十五分。 我們頓感奇怪,飲品還未開始品嚐,為何那麼趕?再過一會,男士拉下店面的窗簾,兩位同事亦相繼離開,有點關門之勢。 但我們還是「不太識做」,繼續喝著飲品,沒有結帳的打算。後來,男士按捺不住,再走到我們枱前,說可不可以提前結帳。 我們說為何那麼趕,他才說因他今天有點事要出去辦,希望我們現在結帳。謎底解開了,原來男士要早走。 我們無奈地結帳,滿意的感覺一掃而空。離開餐館,立即去鄰近的咖啡店,延續下午閒情。睎月藍 Heston …Read More

這店在將軍澳已有兩年多,但未有機會一嘗。 因我通常喜在Popcorn,將軍澳中心覓食,很少移步到天晉匯二期探索。今日突心血來潮一口氣慢慢逛盡天晉匯一、二及三期,徹底了解這三個商場有什麼值得光顧的食肆。來到此餐館門前,看看餐牌資料介紹,其主打菜式烤雞是不經油炸,所以外層香脆,肉質嫩滑充滿肉汁云云,而且午巿套餐還大削價,由$195降至$128,我們便不作它想決定進店一試。 食店以快餐店刑式裝潢,店中間有一大屏幕,不停播放K pop。因疫情關係,店客不算多,但三位樓面服務員分工有點亂,三人一同忙著帶我們入座,卻沒人遞上餐牌,我們等了一會要向收銀位的店員示意她才醒覺。午餐時段是12時至5時,有多款套餐可選,我們點了烤牛肉盖飯套餐和原味烤雞套餐(有骨)。 牛肉蓋飯牛肉一般,沒有如餐館所述的甜咸烤牛肉味道。  原味烤雞可能烹者需時,大約二十分鐘才奉上。烤雞份量十足,味道頗佳,但不知是否烹調方法或是調味料的原因,整個下午我的咀裏還殘留一些咸味感覺。  整體來說,可能我不太跟上韓流,沒大驚喜。而且,二人旳午餐需$220 ,性價比不算高,在很俱競爭性的將軍澳區實在有很多更佳的選擇。最後,看到Openrice 關於此店的食評,很多評語說炸雞很好味,大家對烤雞的慨念好像不太強。Heston B 睎月藍 …Read More

We were longing for a good Italian restaurant for the first part of our wedding celebration and we picked this one largely because we had read some good review online.We came at 12nn and the restaurant was 1/4 full.  Selfishly, we thought it was good to us as we would not need to queue at buffet table.  We were surprised that the restaurant was not half full even during the peak hours after 1 pm.The Salad & Desserts Buffet was $218 each.  If one wanted to take starter or main course, $60 and $90 would be added to your bill respectively.  My wife preferred to take Fettuccine con Ragout di Pesce Adriatico as starter and I took Maialino con Cavolo Rosse Mele Glassate as main course.The buffet table offered a good variety of Italian dishes and sure one would be delighted to explore the many types of authentic Italian food. However, the Fettuccine and the Pork were below our expectation.   The presentation of the latter was quite odd to me with only the cooked pork on the plate.It was a bit disappointing as we looked up to higher expectation with the extra cost we paid.   We concluded that we would feel more satisfied if we just had the buffet.  I always think desserts are the key elements to lure clients to revisit the restaurant and hence I had much higher expectation of the quality of the desserts.  I was again let down unfortunately.May be next time we come on a Sunday and see if there would be a difference.Heston B 希月藍…Read More

放假和太太都會到西貢逛逛,和這店擦身而過多次,今日才是第一次光顧。此店讓您明白,店的外觀是十分重要。豪華裝修未必能保証客似雲來,簡單設計但做出一種welcoming 感覺反而更令人嚮往。  這店開業不久好像已令人眼前一亮,令人每次來西貢就會想來光顧此店,好的外觀成功了大半。同一位置,之前的餐館未能功成而要身退,換了此店卻能大展異彩。我們點了Bagel with Butter & Cream Cheese,Slow Cooked Beef Bowl ,Cheese Cake 和 Flat White 。Bagel 附有的芝士份量多,Cheese Cake  不欺場,Flat White 亦調制得好。Beef Bowl 買相好,但用了濃的芥醬做調味,混和的效果不佳,而且慢煮牛肉不見得很特出,建議食客點 Pistacho Chicken 應會好些 (店員或應向客人講解一些醬汁)。如前述,環境好,味道感覺也會好起來,下次來西貢時,也會乖乖地再來光顧,試試他們另外菜式。Heston B 希月藍…Read More
