I booked this place for 7 a couple of weeks to have a gathering. They called us a few days beforehand to confirm my booking and have not told us anything about the maximum dinning time etc. All they were busy was pushing us to take the vip rooms for a minimum Spending per person. On the day of the booking, they called and told me that there is a maximum dinning time of 90mins. Maybe it’s me and my friends but I really don’t know how anyone can enjoy hot pot in 90mins. Made a booking via OpenRice for a dinner with a friend from overseas. The food was ok and generally the service was ok. However what really ticked me off is when the bill came. The waiter told us we had to pay by cash because of the 20% discount from OpenRice. It would have been fine if they told us in advance. I would have gone to the ATM beforehand. My wife and I decided to go there for lunch. We got there and placed our order at 1.30pm. The restaurant wasn’t very busy that afternoon. Normally the food are served relatively quick, with at least the Banchan would be served within 10mins. We waited for 20minutes and nothing but just a bottle of mineral water was served. We followed up with one of the waiter and after another 15/20minutes still nothing. By that time it was past 2pm, we asked another waitress about our orders and it was only than they realised they forgot our order. By that time I am already fed up by their customer service or the lack of it. Awful experience. I basically told them to forget it and I will never patron them again!Very disappointing! Have always been wanting to try their infamous boat noodle. So decided to give this place a try even though there’s usually a queue since they get full very early on. The queue was not too bad, around 15-20mins wait. They do hand out their menu during your queue so that you can order immediately after you get seated.We went for the Wagyu Boat noodle and Pad Thai. They probably the best in Hong Kong that I had tried so far.The broth for the boat noodle was rich and flavourful. The Pad Thai was delicious, a perfect balance between sweet, salty and sour. Unlike some other places which can be overly sweet. The prawns was sizeable which is a definite plus and very nicely plated. Definitely worth trying. Been there a few times but my last visit was down right appalling. It was a Sunday evening around 7pm. The place was dead, I tried to get the bar tender’s attention to get another order of beer. He basically ignored me so I was so if I got his attention. I tried calling him a few times and by then he turned to me and gave me an evil look and turned away as he walked towards the tap. I seriously think he needs to rethink his “career” options. Does he really expect to work in a F&B industry treating customer this way? No way in hell as a paying customer should tolerate this kind of service/attitude. Obviously I told them I rather have my bill and leave. I even told the lady (whom I believe is the manager or senior) and she just left looked at me for a second and looked away.
