這晚的法國餐體驗之旅是由法國駐港總領事官邸的總廚Carlos de Sousa當主角,介紹Metropolitain的法國菜。由法國大廚介紹法國菜,肯定比門外漢專業許多。利益申報:Carlos與這餐廳沒有業務上關係,只是認識餐廳老闆,不是要替餐廳賣廣告。他說,在香港由法國人開的法國餐廳,沒有幾間的老闆他不認識,他是選一些認為較好的介紹給我。Metropolitain是Brasserie一類的餐廳,原意是指釀啤酒地方,但在法國賣啤酒的館子也會提供餐飲,變成餐廳,特點是氣氛較輕鬆自由,供應的菜式也較簡單和平民化。話雖如此,這餐廳也有較高級的法國菜,價錢當然也不那麼平民化,具體內容,可看影片,在此不重複了。由於片長關係,本來是一段的影片,但因上載不到Youtube,被迫分成上下集,而這裡又只能放一段,要看下集,勞煩各位再到Youtube搜索了。…Read More

偶然發現的地道法國飽點快餐店...

2018年底上網找有關法國美食資料(brioche)時brioche)時,偶然發現這家地道的法國包點快餐店。這店在法國的規模頗大,若要作比較,就有點像香港的美心、大家樂、大快活的規模吧。我曾在法國生活了十多年,在當地就曾光顧這家連銷店,但主要是吃它的牛角包等包點。知道它也來了香港後,翌日便和老婆(在法國認識進而結婚的香港人)一起去試吃。點選的當然是牛角包、蘋果包、朱古力包,另外還點了一個黑毛豬扒飯。包點的水準就跟在法國的一樣,而且價錢也不貴,黑毛豬扒飯也不錯,很香,但因在法國時那裡好像沒有這樣的飯(起碼我從未試過),所以無從比較。價錢一點也不貴,跟香港的茶餐廳價錢差不多。老婆和我都很滿意。後記:之後我和朋友再去光顧了幾次,但除了包點保持一貫水準外,其他的「碟頭飯」水準有點不穩定,這是美中不足之處,可能與餐廳所處位置欠佳,客流不穩定,從而影響食物的水準。有點這家跨國連銷店的資料,有興趣的朋友可看看我的短片。…Read More

6月底約了朋友到bistro Winebeast晚飯。顧名思義,餐廳標榜wine字,於是也點選了他們的4-course dinner tasting menu,吃了一個4道菜的晚餐,每道菜都配對不同的葡萄酒(其實主要是體驗菜與酒的配搭)。菜是很有水準的,酒平時飲的不多,當晚可以一口氣試了4種不同的酒,既滿意又充實。當晚飲的酒,有3種是盧瓦河谷的酒,二白一紅,首先是Muscadet Sevre & Maine,接著本應是Sancerre blanc,但因缺貨,餐廳換了同區的一種Sauvignon blanc,再接著是Chinon,配甜品的是意大利甜酒Moscato。我拍了一段短片介紹這晚的用餐過程,有興趣的朋友可看看。…Read More

約了法國朋友午飯,請他介紹法國餐廳,他推薦這家法國布列塔尼地方菜(以可麗餅crepe著稱)的餐廳。其實可麗餅分兩大類,咸味的叫galette,用蕎麥粉做的,甜味的才叫crepe,用小麥粉做的,口感和食味都不同。這家餐廳做得頗地道及有水準(否則法國朋友也不會推薦),中午的套餐價錢也適中,連蘋果酒每人約150元。我是vlogger,剪輯了一段短片講述creperie的一些相關資料,有興趣的朋友可以看看。…Read More
