The energy and attentiveness of the staff at Flames (Kwun Tong) is noticeable as soon as you enter the place.
On a weekday, we went in during the peak hour at around 12 noon. And the place was filling up fairly quick. After being seated, we never even had to look around for any staff because they almost always find you as soon as you are about to ask for anything. That’s quite admirable especially during the peak lunch hour
.Set Lunch menu had a good number of choices amongst mains, pastas, chicken rice and salads. The PAN FRIED FISH FILLET had a generous amount of truffle mushroom sauce on it and enough vegetables on the side.
The NZ RIB EYE STEAK had a nice Medium doneness and should be filling for one person given the sides (choice between fries or roast vegetables).
The beer list contained some local and international Draught brands as well as couple of bottled brands.I took the Czech Draught named Kozel which had a slightly bitter taste (and I mean in a good way).
For the SALAD, it was good that we were allowed to include four different choices. We went for the following mix of four choices- Peri Peri chicken fusilli pasta, Caesar, Roast broccoli and cauliflower, Tomato salsa. Good taste.
. It would be worth visiting Flames again because their A-la-carte menu has many dishes that don’t feature on the Set-lunch menu. So, definitely some “unfinished business” for me as I would like to try those too
