"Which came first? The chicken or the egg?" A question just as debatable as when you're choosing a place to eat. Tsuen Wan Plaza has a lot to offer in terms of food. Though the decision for us was to get burgers, once you reach the escalators, you are greeted with a number of bright boards featuring different restaurants inviting you to visit but none were as attractive as the name "Chicken Factory".

We followed the colourful lines towards the restaurant. Please note that the restaurant is ON THE RIGHT HANDSIDE (no offense to the other restaurant).

If you're looking for a place to hang around for hours, this is not it. With their high chairs, takeaway boxes and utensils (used for dine-in too), as well as their recommended "3 steps for a peaceful and safe meal", it is clear that they care about their quality in service, show understanding of the "new normal" (the reality of covid-19) and more importantly, care about the wellbeing of their customers and the busy lives they live (if you don't mind sparing a minute to put your own rubbish and tray away.)

The food was flavorful. We were satisfied with the choices and combo elements. Their drinks are limited but handcrafted, delicious and bottled for convenience. The decor/atmosphere was peaceful, instagram worthy (if chicken feet prints and stuffed chicken statues are your thing) and spacious. Overall, it's a place to for a hearty yet simple meal to yourself and/or family with the added benefit of taking a lovely break from the usual/common shopping mall choices with '50-100+ dishes in a single menu'.

So, whether you thought it was the chicken or the egg that came first, it doesn't matter. What matters is whether it comes with rice and everything nice...'cause at the Chicken Factory, it absolutely does!
