Craving for some Taiwanese food? In the Tsuen Wan West Neighbourhood? Check out Chan! They have all your favourite Taiwanese dishes, and love the open concept interior. We were seated by the open windows, and get to people watch during our meal 🙈 (not creepy at all). And each set comes with a lot of food, which makes it so worth! 🍗 Fried Popcorn Chicken ($66) - love how it’s fried all over, and it wasn’t too salty! They gave it in generous portion too! It comes with rice (+$18) for the shredded
🍗 Fried Popcorn Chicken ($66) - love how it’s fried all over, and it wasn’t too salty! They gave it in generous portion too! It comes with rice (+$18) for the shredded chicken, salad and a choice of jelly or soup. Can’t go wrong with the chicken and rice pairing, do recommend getting the shredded chicken for some extra protein 💪🏻
🍜 Beef Brisket and Tendon Noodle ($88) - you get a choice whether you want the thin or thick noodle; I got the thick ones (刀削麵). I recommend eating this quick or keeping the noodles drenched in the soup as they do stick together. The beef brisket was very soft and tender, and love the soup base of this! Overall this noodle definitely meets my cravings of Taiwanese food 🤤
.
🥬 Homemade Taiwanese Kimchi ($25) - my friend loved this dish! It was not too spicy and it was kind of like a sour spicy ranch taste? Very interesting. As you can see it’s quite white in color, not sure what they add into that. But it did complement the meal!
🧋 Taro Milk Tea (+$14) - hard to find taro milk tea sometimes, so we had to get this when we saw it! Taste how I remembered, and it wasn’t too artificial! Really tasty 👅
.
🧋 - Sambo Milk Tea (+$16) - Sambo means there is three types of bubble! Red bean, grass jelly and pearls! It was so interesting to drink because you never know which bubble you’ll get. Always love a good bubble tea with my Taiwanese dish ☺️
