It's Wednesday again! It's the middle of the week so it's time to relax. I went to this newly restaurant located behind isquare. The location is great and quiet. The decoration is modern and young. The crab cake was tasty! The outer layer was crispy and crunchy. I was very satisfied as it was full of crab meat and flavourful.
Risotto Nero with seafood:
When we order the risotto, the staff told us that we were the one of the first ten person to order this risotto so they will upgrade it into a jumbo one. We were very happy when we heard that, which mean we get to try more seafood. The risotto was presented in a pan and the staff pour some alcohol around it to fire it up. This risotto is sure for two people because all the seafoods were double up. The tiger prawn was so meaty! It was so easy to take out from the shell, the meat was crunchy. The scallop was soft and fresh. The mussel was easy to chew. There were lots of squids and shrimps, they were tasty; I like the fact that they were cut into small pieces so it was easy to fit into our mouth. The risotto was perfect! The texture was a bit hard which was exactly what risotto should be. I really like this risotto with the squid ink.
Shine burger:
The signature restaurant burger was out of our expectation. It was very good. The burger was quite big so girls will definitely need to share it with someone. The fries were delicious! They were crispy and crunchy and tasty. The burger was big so we have to cut it layer by layer. The bread was toasted up so it was crispy on the edges. The bacon was crispy and meaty. The beef patty was very special, the chef recommend it to be medium rare so we could see red meat while we cutting it in half. The patty was flavourful and not too bad with medium rare.
Apple crumble:
To finish off our dinner, a dessert is a must. We ordered our favourite Apple crumble and this apple crumble is different compare to the other that I had before. The presentation was mind blowing, it was presented on a plate with smoke coming out from the bottom, I guess those were dry ice. The ice cream was homemade, it was milky and creamy with raisin and nut around it. The apple crumble's pastry was different, it was like a tart pastry. It was crunchy and buttery with slices and slices of green apple in it, the green apple was in very thin slices and a bit sour. This apple crumble was different because there was no crumble but still very yummy.
Light on:
I ordered their special drink "light on" which contains strawberry, passion fruit, orange juice, soda and Shochu.
It was sweet and fruity.
Orange rainbow:
My friend tried the Orange rainbow and she found it fruity as well as there were orange juice, pineapple juice, strawberry syrup and rose syrup in it with vodka and lychee liqueur.
