I saw many good reviews of this place and decided to give it a try. I booked a table for 2 for Thursday night at 7:30.The restaurant was not difficult to find. There were seats on the ground level right next to the streets which would be perfect for people watching. When we arrived we were brought upstairs. There weren’t many people yet, but then the restaurant quickly filled up. My friend and I felt lucky that we booked in advance because by 8 it was fully packed. We were surprised since it was

When we arrived we were brought upstairs. There weren’t many people yet, but then the restaurant quickly filled up. My friend and I felt lucky that we booked in advance because by 8 it was fully packed. We were surprised since it was only a Thursday night!
The menu looked like a newspaper. There were so many choices we were debating over what to get. Finally, we ordered 2 snacks/appetisers and 2 mains and 2 drinks.
First came the tiger prawns. We ordered the “bite” size which had 4 prawns. The dish was sizzling hot when it arrived. The prawns were big, fresh and juicy. The garlic sauce was also very savoury and went well with the bread.

Then came the baked potato skins. These looked so good in the pictures we had to give it a try. Turns out, they were exactly as good as they looked! There was quite a bit of potato (not just the skins) and filled with generous amounts of cheese. We thought it was as good as potato skins can get.

Next came the pork knuckle. It was so much bigger than my friend and I had expected (and not expensive too)! The skin was crispy and the meat was perfectly tender and juicy. It was even better than some of the pork knuckles I had in Germany. I highly recommend this dish.

Our cavatelli came last. The creaminess of the sauce went really well with the al dente pasta. The truffle flavour was balanced with the slight saltiness of the bacon. There was 2 generous pieces of sea bass. Overall, it was a great dish.

The drinks were also quite strong in alcohol. I got the Argue and my friend got Be Back Together (creative names for drinks).
There was live music playing that night. The singer was quite good and the music really added to the chill bar/restaurant vibes.
Overall it was a good meal. We were really full. All the dishes we had were of big portions and high quality. I also enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. I would definitely come back and bring more friends next time (to share the pork knuckle)!
