First English Review! As it describes my experience in English hehe. My friends and I were here for Restaurant Week 2019, with the list shown according to alphabetical order, Alto is the first one that showed up. As we have 3 people, we tried out everything on the Restaurant Menu. For Starter, it’s Tuna Tartare and Fondue. As we have 3 people, we tried out everything on the Restaurant Menu. For Starter, it’s Tuna Tartare and Fondue. Tartare was alright, we felt that the tuna chunks were too big, it had a seven spice mix which made it quite spicy, and it wasn’t stated on the menu. Fondue also had chilli flakes on top, just be noted.
For Mains, the first one is sirloin. Good quality but lack of veggies. Their BBQ sauce on side was quite flavourful. Second one is Supreme Chicken Breast, this is surprisingly good. Chicken was tender, lentils and dices veggies with balsamic dressing had a good profile. A well balanced dish. The third main is Black Truffle Pappardelle, generous portion but way too creamy! First few bites were ok but couldn’t finish the rest, good to share.
Dessert...nope, not impressed. Weird mouthfeel for Cheesecake, sorbet on the side was good tho. Mixed Berry Trifle was the worst...lack of flavour for both cream and biscuit, tasteless! So disappointed...saved by 2 sorbet, refreshing and clean. I never thought this would bother me but 2 desserts came in plastic cups...under this fine dining environment with plastic cups? It’s just wrong...looks like catering desserts.
Service was quite well, as we ordered one cocktail - Sweet Memories, but was too much for me to finish, the waitress asked whether the cocktail was ok as I didn’t finish it. Quite thoughtful hehe
