An impressive dinner at train-themed Choo Choo. Both food and ambience are fabulous. It is as if staying inside the train in the restaurant, with windows and charging views (video) on both sides. What a creative and amusing dining experience. (Countryside view and arrived at a station) From the two pages of menu all included, my friend and I both chose meat as main. From the two pages of menu all included, my friend and I both chose meat as main. Despite the tiny portion, taste was excellent. Both of us ordered a bowl of rice.
(Crispy pork belly with peppery tomato sauce. Crispy indeed with obvious streaks of meat and fat. Sided with mushroom and mint leaves.)
(American shoulder of beef with roasted Portobello mushrooms. Decent presentation. The moist beef was topped with garlic butter which could be with less in my opinion. The tender, meaty and thick Portobello mushrooms were surprisingly nice.)
(LJK- the very nice dessert which would impress even the pickiest eaters, despite the old-fashioned name of combining the initial of the three chefs (no offence!). It is a frozen cheese ball with melting raspberry soda and tiny cocoa nibs inside on top of a mixed berry curd. A perfect mouthfeel of sourness, sweetness and bitterness. Sided with honeycomb.)
