Me and my girlfriend were looking for a place for some chill out time at APM mall  after a music concern.  It was after 8pm and there were still lines outside some restaurants.

We came across Kanzen Menya, thought it would be a good choice as we wanted something hot and it turned out to be an excellent choice.

Everything on the menu is delicious, we were paralyzed to choose. In order to try as much as we could, we decided to share everything we ordered.

We started out with a bowl of Ramen. Ramen broth is one of the most complex soups in the world. Pork bone soup usually need to boil somewhere between 4 to 48 hours. The soup here is so delicious with many layers of flavour, rich and milky. The noodle was cooked just right.  An overcooked noodle is not just a mushy noodle, it also makes the broth more starchy.  Rule of thumb:  eat it while it’s hot and do not be afraid to slurp your ramen,  it’s expected
The ramen came with 2 pieces of skinless pork belly (about ten pages thick, dark brown colour), carefully placed on top of the noodles. The pork had a good balance of of fat and meat,  tasted buttery soft.  The onsen egg  (hot spring egg) was perfectly done - silky egg whites with custard-like yolk.

Gyoza (dumplings)  in soup -  good mix of vegetables and protein in one parcel of joy, dancing along your tastebuds.  Again, we gulped all the soup.

Crispy fried small fish - you can eat the fish from head to tail including the bones, with nice sauce for dipping. It was totally delicious.

Japanese salad with apple, cucumber and ham topped with cereals- All ingredients are thinly sliced with lettuce as the foundation. I don't know what was the dressing. It tasted healthy, chilled and nutty with the cereals.

Ox Tougues in 2 flavors (hot/cold) Hot ~ the taste was good but the consistency was rubbery (not edible). Cold~tender and tasted good. However, we took the initiative to contribute our dining experience to the Manger. He immediately took the dish back to the kitchen and canceled the dish off our bill. He was very courteous and friendly as well as other serving staff in the restaurant.

This humble, inexpensive restaurant definitely can warm your belly with delights.
