After the long day of work in client's office, my partner and I planned to chill out at Sai Wan Ho harbourfont (the mini East Soho) but due to the parking concern, so my partner suggested to stay in North Point.We couldn't be bothered to look for any restaurant so we just picked a random Italian one, located next to our office and near the MTR station.Once we were seated, the owner himself came to greet us. Once we were seated, the owner himself came to greet us. He recommanded the lamb chop and the pork knuckle (on the Set Dinner Menu). We were too tired to decide so we gave it a go.
As soon as we ordered, salad was served. It was some greens with tomatoes slices and a lot of dressing. It didn't taste very fresh though, but my partner did finished it.
We added extra for the black truffle soup. Smelled quite nice, would be better if it could be creamier. The walnut bread was good. Soft and a bit warm.
The main courses soon arrived. The lamp chop was slightly seasoned only, so the unique taste of lamb could better stand out Wished it could be juicier and more tender.
Pork knuckle was roasted up to standard. Meat was soft and moist, just that the skin wasn't crispy enough.
When we were in the middle of the dinner, the owner came again and kept asking us if we would want to order something else. I overheard that he wanted to free our seats for the next customers whom had reserved the table before we came. It was only 30 mins since we were seated, yet he had came over asking for more than 4 times. It was quite some pressure for us, especially when we were so exhausted. We were a bit annoyed and didn't finish our main course as we just wanted to leave for some quiet time.
The food was okay and the price was competitive, yet the service has to be improved.
