We had lunch at Tipsy Restaurant on a wet Sunday, but the warm and welcoming space was comfortable and relaxing. It's in a slightly quiet area, on the leafy streets of Tai Hang village behind the rush of Causeway Bay - it's in a serviced apartment block, although it has a dedicated lift, only shared with another restaurant, separate from the rest of the building. We ordered from the lunch menu - I started with soup of the day (tomato), and my partner had the cold meat planner, then for main course I had pan-fried halibut, while she had the ribeye steak. The soup, while creamy, also had a pleasant sharpness from real tomato. My fish was a little more strongly-flavoured than I'm used to - I normally have milder fish like salmon and cod - but was well-cooked, with flaky flesh, a smooth sauce, and very nice mash and roasted vegetables. We were given small tarts for dessert. fruity and creamy inside, with a nice crunchy crust, and served with a sweet crumb. I also had a 'Cinderella' mocktail with grapefruit. lime and honey to finish off the meal, with a nice citrus tang to cleanse the palate.
