Saw the 50% discount and decided to finally try this restaurant that I've walked past many times before. I've got to say, I did not anticipate the atmosphere to be this cosy. I did read somewhere that this was a family business but I did not expect that to translate so well over every aspect of the restaurant - the warm staff; the homely, sincere yet gourmet pasta; the somewhat unconventional yet endearing decorations... all came together to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. For that mom
For that moment, I forgot that I was in Central. That's no easy feat.
The lobster fettuccine is the signature dish here for a reason. Al dente pasta soaked in heady lobster sauce which is somehow married well with truffle oil, and they really were not at all stingy with the lobster! With lobster dishes, I usually have to horde the pieces of lobster I find after some rummaging and digging, just for that satisfying final bite. I did no such thing here. Each bite was satisfying from the start till the end.
I'm glad I managed to try this place despite the relentless waves of the pandemic, and I hope that you can continue to touch people with this sincerity rarely found in this otherwise cold, almost heartless financial district of Hong Kong.
