The Promenade is a buffet restaurant in Harbour Plaza Hotel. The restaurant is really nice and spacious. The buffet had a variety of dishes to choose from. First plate consisted of ribs, beef, pan fried fish and lamb. Beef was soft, but not very flavorful. I don’t really like lamb, but wow, this lamb was pretty good. I paired it with truffle sauce, but there are other sauces you can choose from. My favorite was the ribs though. Fish was ok... I expected the outside to be crispier, but the inside was really soft.

Next plate was raw oyster. I don’t really like oyster, but I wanted to try some anyways, and I found out that I still don’t like oyster 😂😅 it’s really fresh though! They open and clean it right on the spot. I don’t know how you’re supposed to clean it, but the chef ran it under the faucet and drained the water.

Next pic is pork sausage, pork tongue, ravioli (even though the sign said tortellini lol), bean curd skin, and drumstick. Pork tongue wasn’t as bad as I expected; I thought it would be rough and chewy, but it was soft 😮 I thought it would taste like liver, but it tasted like pork lol. Ravioli was meh maybe cuz it’s not as fresh as the other foods. I couldn’t taste what was inside tbh lol all I knew was that I was eating some green stuffing. I couldn’t really taste the melted cheese either 😕 it was a bland dish in general.

also got a plate of sashimi 😋 I asked for egg and they gave me a ton omg, like 6 pieces so I shared it with other people on the table lol (I handed it out before taking a pic so it looks less in the pic lol) They cut the sashimi right on the spot for you and there’s other choice to choose from like salmon, tuna, octopus, egg, etc.

I also wanted to try the curry, but it looked really liquid-y and there were only chips and rice to go with it (I wanted naan or some flatbread instead) so I didn’t try it in the end. There was a salad bar, dim sum, and Chinese bbq too, but I didn’t get to those cuz I was pretty full already 😅

And finally, dessert! The desserts there were hella cute omg. There were a few CNY themed ones 😍 the pig was strawberry mousse, the firecracker was raspberry mousse, and the hat was chocolate mousse.

They even had the raindrop cake 😮 but it wasn't as special as I expected lol. it was like hard jello with fruits inside, but it tasted good with the kinako and red bean paste (i think it was red bean paste... lol).

There was an DIY sundae spot, with Movenpick ice cream (which is expensive ice cream lol). There were many different flavors and they brought in new ones when the tub ran out. I tried strawberry, creme brûlée, and strawberry cheesecake. The strawberry was too sour for my liking 😅 Creme brûlée was pretty good, but strawberry cheesecake was the best! I paired it up with a waffle (made right on the spot) and the waffle was more savory that sweet, so it went well with the ice cream. I also tried coffee ice cream afterwards since that came out later and I really liked it too.

I really liked the matcha roll, but I wish they didn't put these tiny crispy chocolate balls cuz it almost overpowered the matcha flavor. Not too sweet either and the matcha flavor was strong.

There was a red chocolate fountain 😮 prob to celebrate CNY or Valentine’s Day or both!

The service was not bad, only a little bit slow because there were so many diners. One incident that happened though was that there was a mess up at the drinks section. The tea tasted like coffee, and so we told the waiter about it, and he took the dispenser back to the kitchen to have a new batch made.
