Contemporary Korean dining at its finest👌🏻 In line with the healthy vegetarian trend, Soil to Soul features a modern twist on contemporary Korean vegetarian recipes. Using natural and plant-based ingredients with a wide variety of a la carte specialties, they offer this very good ‘Temple Food Tasting Menu’ priced at $698/person.
Honestly, everything looked simple but most of them literally blew my mind with their complexity in terms of of flavors. For instance, the amuse bouche that’s made with a piece of mushroom tasted both sour and bitter. It was steamed to give it a very tender and juicy texture and the way it’s topped with sesame made it so refreshingly delicious.
And out of the main dishes, my favorite would be the sweet and spicy mushroom. It basically was the Cantonese sweet and spicy chicken, but with mushrooms, so it’s apparently healthier and less greasy. The mushrooms were very crispy and if you found them too spicy, you could mix them with the next dish which was the fried rice with kimchi.
As a whole, it was a very pleasant dining experience, with tasty and healthy Korean dishes, good service and gorgeous dining environment.
