The food.

Honestly the scone was good. It tasted and smelled exactly what you would expect an earl grey scone to be like. It was, however, on the small side given that it’s over 20 dollars. I’m not sure whether it’s a thing in HK, but the scones are not served with cream and jam which is completely baffling. You had to pay an extra $10 for cream/jam which is around half the price of the scone??? My suggestion is not to order the scones because it’s simply not worth it compared to the other options on the menu.

The avo toast was decent. I loved the small salad on the side, the yoghurt simply enhanced the dish a lot. I’m not sure whether it’s because the avo toast was on the brunch menu, but it was also on the smaller side of things. The sourdough could have been better toasted, and the dish could’ve been better seasoned but all in all it was a decent avo toast. Would I get it again? I’ll would probably try something else on their menu.

The drinks.

The staple matcha latte was good. Personally I would have preferred if it was stronger in flavour but all in all no complaints here. The cleanse, on the other hand, was a completely 10/10 drink. I don’t usually order drinks such as the cleanse, but feeling adventurous I got this drink and boy did I make the right choice. It is a great drink that is worth the price tag. The balance of flavour made the drink slightly on the sour side of things, but the fact that it masks the celery flavour so well is an accomplishment.

Overall, I would revisit this elephant grounds since the environment is just too good. But maybe I’ll order something else on the menu.
