Before we went for the movie in UA upstairs, we came here for our dinner. We had a braised fish with vegetables set and also a 水餃擔擔麵 with steamed bun set.

The braised fish with vegetables came with a hotpot. It aided in keeping the dish warm but one of its flaws was that they used rather much oil in preparation of the hotpot. The fish was nice and there were some mushrooms, vegetable and fried beancurd to go with the hotpot. In terms of its price, the food standard was already not bad.

Out of our expectation, the擔擔麵 was very nice. Its peanut sauce was suitably seasoned and the texture of the noodles was also chewy enough. 水餃 were okay, not as good as those Wanchai ferry. The steam bun had some pork and vegetable paste inside. It was also not too bad.

Overall speaking, I found the food and varieties served in this Food Republic were satisfactory. One suggestion is the management should consider arranging more chairs with back. Though those one piece of board chairs created a more open spacious to the food court, they were not comfortable for dining, so everytime when I went there, I would sit on those chairs with back.
