They offered a number of different Thai lunch sets which were really so cheap without service charge and including a hot coffee or milk tea. Choices varied from Hainan Chicken Rice, curry, stir-fried dishes, Pad Thai, soup noodles etc. In short, a lot of choices!

We decided to try out their fried beef and morning glory with spicy shrimp paste set. A bowl of plain rice and a hot milk tea came with it. The bowl of plain rice was quite big. The hot milk tea was still quite warm when we got home.

Portion was big with a lot of morning glory veggies. The veggies were stir-fried quite well that they tasted very good of the spicy shrimp paste. The level of spiciness was very good. It was very appetising and I didn't find it really spicy. The veggies were not overly greasy either. There were quite a few slices of beef, which were still ok despite taken away.

Whole Hainan Boneless Chicken $158

We also ordered a whole Hainan boneless chicken from their main menu. There was an option to order half a chicken at $85. Half a chicken was packed nicely in one plastic box so we got 2 plastic boxes.

Portion was really similar for each box. There were quite a lot of chicken leg and thigh flesh to eat. Of course there were also 2 chicken wings. The chicken meat was reasonably rich in chicken flavour. There was not much fat. The chicken leg and thigh meat were quite tender. To our surprise, the chicken breasts were even more tender! Very good.

The chicken was topped by 2 slices of cucumber and some fresh coriander, while bottomed by big fresh lettuce slices.

Like those normal Hainan chicken rice dish out there, the 3 accompanying sauces were a must. 3 packs were served altogether and they were all full so there must be sufficient sauce to finish all the chicken meat. I liked the sweet soy sauce the best, while the spicy sauce was appetisingly spicy! In conclusion, the quality of Hainan chicken was really the same as eating in! Good choice for takeaway!
