There are actually two Indian restaurants right next to each other here. Not sure if they are connected, but make sure you’re going to the right one.I came here in the evening and it wasn’t too crowded. I got the mildly spicy Madras chicken curry, which costs $88. The thing is though it doesn’t come with any rice, so you’ll have to pay extra in order to get some sort of starch. I got the naan, which is actually really good and really affordable. The food is nice overall, and I’d come again. There’s a service charge of 10% that I didn’t notice and that wasn’t pointed out to me, which is a little annoying. Still, the food is nice, and I’d like to come back and get some take away soon. continue reading

Ate at Haveli on 2nd Jan 2018. The service was terrible - made us wait for 20 minutes and then we realised the cook wasn't even there. The food was refrigerated and microwaved and he said it was fresh even when we pointed to him that the 'vada' was hard as a rock and the 'idli' had cracks from being stale and kept out for too long. Would not recommend this place at all! continue reading

Haveli North & South Indian Pure Vegetarian Food天后清風街20號地舖 以素食作訴求的印度菜,無意中給我找到了,因印度菜善長用香料,沒肉類依然好吃。$58有湯 同malai kofta 蒜蓉芝士丸,跟了nann ,加$12配mango lassi湯是蕃茄湯?但好杰身帶點螢光色同好油膩,似生粉水喝不慣啦個芝士丸搓了豆蓉同蕃仔似,表面炸過幾好味架。個汁一點都不辣,是花奶煮的,重奶香好滑。麵包怪食nann, 重點是煎汁一起食,飽足又紮實,原始撲素的白麵粉香已挑起食慾。杯mango lassi好甜,用芒果同乳酪打成,一般係用作解辣同暢通腸胃。70元食到正宗印度風味的午餐。 continue reading

已很久很久很久…..沒有吃過印度菜, 皆因無人陪我吃, 連最後的皇牌, 即是老爸也不願意陪伴, 嗚嗚嗚…..但最近公司來了一位新同事, 仲要是我的拍檔, 因大家有很多機會交談, 得知對方也愛吃印度菜, 還經常去重慶大廈覓食, 我終於找到口味相投者, 實在太好了!好拍檔不想成日去重慶大廈, 想有些新鮮感, 故今次由我決定, 這並沒有難度, 因為我一向是印度菜的愛好者, 哈! 今晚仲要揀了一間純素食的印度菜餐店, 更有新意。餐店門面以綠色和黃色為主調, 都幾Sharp和醒神, 而搶眼的招牌高高印在店中央, 門口擺放了餐牌, 亦貼上註明100% organic的標誌。趟門而入, 內裏裝潢滿有印度色彩, 以鮮黃色為主調, 牆身掛上多幅油畫、相片, 亦放滿多件印度特色的裝飾品, 如寶箱、積木公仔、盆栽、餐具等等, 立立雜雜, 色彩繽紛。店子地方不大, 約可容納三十多人, 預設了七張二人枱、三張四人枱和一張六人枱, 配有一排舒適的梳化座。除了有四款經濟實惠的套餐外, 細閱餐簿, 雖是純素食餐店, 但選擇也不少, 分別有湯及沙律、酪、印度燒烤、前菜/小食、印度飯、印度飯湯、印式飯類、特色中印餐、印度式包類和印度甜品, 的確令人眼花撩亂, 揀什麼好呢? 友人吃印度菜有心得, 就由她發辦吧!******************************點菜後, 店員隨即送來Welcome Food薄脆餅配四色自家醬($0)。先未沾任何醬料試試捲成甜筒形的薄脆餅, 又香又脆, 帶點黑椒和香料的香辣, 越吃越滋味, 但若然脆餅可再薄一點, 相信口感會更佳。逐一蘸上四款醬料, 先是奶綠色的薄荷乳酪, 微辣中帶點薄荷香, 味道挺清新; 深啡色的羅望子醬汁 酸酸甜甜, 有點似燒汁, 與覺得跟脆餅不太夾; 鮮橙色的蒜蓉番茄醬, 先酸後辣, 而且越來越火辣, 相當刺激。最喜歡還是泥黃色的甜酸醬, 甜酸中亦有點辛香, 但辣度中庸, 惹味得來亦不會嗆喉, 配脆餅 最美味。******************************咖喱角 Vegetable Samosa ($28/2pcs)是經典的印度小吃之一, 基本上每次都會點一客, 今次也不例外。兩隻立體三角形的咖喱角 都脹卜卜, 內藏滿滿的饀料。外皮厚度適中, 炸至金黃乾身, 入口香脆鬆化, 並不油膩。內裏放滿以香料和咖喱烹調過的薯仔粒、青豆 和蘿蔔粒等, 用料不算很豐富, 而味道只稍稍香辣, 很適合怕辣人士, 但對個人來說, 咖喱味可再濃一點, 那便更有風味。******************************烤餅與三款菜式同時送到, 餐店挺細心。在多款烤餅中選了蒜蓉烤餅 Garlic Naan ($22), 一客共有三大塊, 每塊表面都沾上蒜粒 和香草, 而底部就烤至帶些焦燶, 蒜香味並不突出, 但口感柔韌, 也不錯!******************************三款菜式同時送到, 排成一行, 有綠有橙有紅, 色彩豐富, 好吸引! 店子所有菜式均以點着蠟燭的小鍋盛載上枱, 讓客人可熱住食, 的確很細心。同事跟我都很喜歡秋葵, 故同時看中了這客鷹嘴豆煮秋葵 Chana Bhindi ($68)。有益健康的秋葵 切成一細粒一細粒, 大小相若, 炒弄時間掌握得剛好, 色澤翠綠, 保持爽口。加入鷹嘴豆、蕃茄、薑絲 和多款香料 烹調, 味道鹹香帶辣, 相當惹味, 放在烤餅 上同吃最岩。******************************看這款新鮮果菜拌乾果奶油醬 Noorjahan Navratan Korma ($78)註明採用九款果菜乾果炮製而成, 咁豐富, 一於點來試試。醬汁 色澤如半島醬般, 質地較稀身, 味道甜甜地, 帶有椰香, 挺特別。數數有那九款果菜乾果, 分別有青豆、四季豆、薯仔、紅蘿蔔、菠蘿、櫻桃、椰果、桃 和羊奶芝士 等等, 用料豐富, 但所採用的水果應不是鮮果, 而是罐頭的, 有點失望……又用來佐烤餅, 鹹香的烤餅 拌上甜甜地的奶油醬, 吃出另一番美味。******************************最後一款是蕃茄燴雜菜 Vegetable Makhani ($72), 加入蕃茄、蕃茄醬 和香料 製作, 色澤鮮橙, 質地不算濃稠, 酸酸咪咪帶點微辣, 亦嚐到香料香, 越吃越開胃。又數數看, 雜菜的款式不多, 只數到青豆、四季豆、紅蘿蔔 和羊奶芝士, 也是跟前者選用同一食材, 但份量不少, 全部沾上醬汁, 烹調入味, 當然也是配烤餅 吃最適合。------------------------------其實我一直都掛着印度菜, 特別是香脆可口的胡椒薄脆和各款烤餅, 只是不容易找到口味相投的朋友仔陪伴….現在有了! 相信日後可隨時吃, 就約定下個月某日放工後再齊齊覓食印度菜。 continue reading

今日想食素食,於是search下有特色d既素食餐廳,haveli完全符合心水,於是入去試下呢度印度色裝修濃厚,散發住芳香既檀香氣味,可以舒緩下平日既工作辛勞舒坐底之後首先叫左個咖哩角vegetable samosa 入邊係薯仔蓉混合埋香草同咖哩粉,輕微辣味,容易入口又不油膩之後叫左烤芝士panneer 入面有大量蔬菜、甜青椒同芝士粒。青椒外皮先用炭火烤,再剝去外皮烤青椒肉,炭火烤既還有蕃茄丶包芯菜(高麗菜),超足料呀!烤餅Naan係印度傳統主食之一,當然要試下啦,係麵粉製品放炭爐灶烤既餅。香濃炭烤的簿餅包裹著芝士丁粒或青椒肉,口感好豐富不經不覺已經食左三塊Naan餅同成盤高麗菜,真係好滿足呀印度素食食物同港式素食好不同,下次一定要試印度蔬菜炒飯! continue reading
