We booked the dinner to celebrate while have been waiting for 10 minutes until served because there's a birthday party inside the main area of the restaurant which shows they are understaffed and with unsophisticated arrangement. We requested for a quiet and private area which is the selling point of this restaurant while the waitress arranged a room with family and childrens playing inside. Very disappointing service experience in a grand hotel and we at the end refuse to visit again.

I had a bad experience a number of months ago. I went back today hoping that the worst is over. Unfortunately it was not. “The lad”y at the entrance led us to our table near the entrance We sat there for 10 mins and no one came to serve us. I ask “the lady” for help and she just stood there, nothing to do, and ignored me! I then managed to call another lady. I recall she wad the manager. She served us. We ordered and she told us the menu is out of date and they could only serve what we did not ordered. Interesting. My advice is: try to go somewhere. A rotten apple will never taste good.

If you’re after good BBQ, you need to give this a whirl. A cosy joint tucked away in Tai Ping Shan with great service, solid drinks and an excellent playlist.

We had the smoked meatball sub, a clever and very tasty twist on a classic. The smoked flavours came through really well, the sub was large and bursting at the seams, almost too much for lunch! We also tried both of their beers on tap, which were very fresh and tasting great. We’ll certainly be back to work our way through the menu. If you’re not sure what to order, just ask, they’re super friendly and give great advice

Potluck Eatery, located at a quiet corner in the hustle and bustle of Yau Tsim Wong, is a restaurant with wooden interiors that offers not only the staple coffee shop selections but also a range of alcoholic drinks and a variety of dishes. Caesar Salad w/ Smoked Salmon Authentic caesar salad tossed with shredded parmesan, bacon and croutons. Fresh greens. Guests may add smoked salmon, chicken or crab meat. Conchillo Took a while to wait as it was prepared by order. Crispy thin layer of skin with a fair amount of fat. Succulent meat. Went well with the savory demi-glace sauce. Served with thick fries and salad. Italian Triple Cheese Pizza Super thin crust like a tortilla. Loaded with melting mozzarella, blue cheese and parmesan. One of the most satisfying pizzas I've had lately! Potluck is currently having a couple of discounts such as 25% off the a la carte menu and half price for a bottle of red wine during happy hour. Definitely worth revisiting given the outstanding food quality!

It’s my friends bday today so we decided to go a very good omakase restaurant with good cp value . Fluorescent Squid: Tender and chewy, it melts in your mouth with a delicious flavor that leaves a lasting impression. Fresh and plump, the Kyushu oysters are rich in flavor, making them the perfect choice for oyster lovers. The grilled scallops are perfectly cooked, with a tender texture and a slight charred aroma, making them incredibly delicious. Bandit Hairy Crab: The meat of the Bandit Hairy Crab is sweet, juicy, and pairs exceptionally well with sushi rice. Collagen Tilapia: Collagen Tilapia is an astonishingly creative sushi dish, with tender and fresh tilapia meat. Redback: Redback fish has a smooth and tender texture with a satisfyingly rich flavor. Right Mouth Fish: Right Mouth Fish has a unique flavor, with delicious and slightly sweet flesh. It's definitely worth a try. Tempura: Tempura made with Japanese broccoli is a must-try. It's fried to perfection, retaining the freshness of the vegetables and is extremely appetizing. Sweet Shrimp: Fresh and firm, the sweet shrimp has a rich sweetness that makes it incredibly delicious to eat. Toro: Toro has a smooth and slippery texture that melts in your mouth. A4 Wagyu Sirloin: A4 Wagyu Sirloin is a signature delicacy of the sushi shop, known for its tender and rich beef flavor. It's definitely worth a try. Northern Scallop: The Northern Scallop has a sweet and crispy texture. Squid Roe: Squid Roe is rich and delicious, and when combined with sushi rice, it brings out a unique seafood flavor. Toro: Toro refers to the highest quality fatty tuna belly, with tender meat and even distribution of marbling. Toro and Double Sea Urchin Donburi: This is the pinnacle of sushi delicacies, combining both horse dung sea urchin and white sea urchin. The sweetness and texture of both perfectly blend together, creating an unforgettable experience.

Initially I didn't know the omurice shop has moved and came here instead. However, the menu seemed to be quite good so I decided to try it.I tried their signature slow cooked dry aged beef and for the base I chose was the spaghetti. I added their egg yolk topping and the Orange Gravy. Despite it didn't look large, it was quite packed for their spaghetti so it was very fulfilling. The beef was really tender and when mixed with the egg yolk made it almost smooth. The spaghetti was a bit softer than al dente, which is still good. I didn't use the gravy as there was so much sauce already with the spaghetti. Next time, I will try the rice with the gravy to further appreciate the sauce. 

If you order delivery, they’d switch the ramen noodles to udon. As my colleagues would like to taste the ramen, to compare with the udon version of delivery, we came again of our own volition. There is tantan dipping ramen on the menu and this is the option which you can try the udon/ thicker noodles, otherwise I think udon might be available on special request when you dine in (?) This round I tried the chicken shoyu ramen 雞醬油拉麵 with very tender chicken. The egg looked superb with an almost red-hue jammy yolk. The broth was really flavourful and I drank all of it, as this was served in a smaller bowl- easier to finish. There’s distinctive yuzu and chicken taste in the broth and it’s my kind of soup. The bigger bowl was the signature white chicken broth ramen 雞白湯拉麵 with charsiu slices, on the farther end of the photo above. I also liked the braised pork belly thick-cut. Deeply marinated, melt-in-your-mouth fatty layers, and very juicy pork. Our team leader tried the spring-edition: mentaiko soy ramen. It’s good and interesting, yet he told us that the signature white chicken broth was better. He also liked the udon noodles in the delivery menu more than the ramen.

Revisit to try their popular sandwiches, and it’s VERY GOOD! There’s a variety of Taiwanese and Hong Kongese inspired sandwiches and toasts. I picked the HK satay beef and scrambled egg sandwiches. The portion is HUGE as you can see there’s a generous amount of big beef slices. I didn’t choose to toast my bread and it’s fresh and fluffy. Big shoutout to the satay sauce: peanuty, rich and authentic! It’s very delicious with high quality. There’s a little bit of crunchy peanut bits within and I liked it a lot. The scrambled egg went very well with the sandwich overall.

Had an amazing time at the hidden gem in Tsim Sha Tsui, Aira ! 🏮 The interior exudes a stylish vibe, with its unique decor and ambiance. We were blown away by the high-quality food they served. 🖤 From the tangy and spicy spicy octopus to the juicy minced chicken skewers, every dish was a delight to our taste buds.
But the highlight of the evening was definitely the premium beef skewer. 🥩 The tender and flavorful meat left us craving for more. Accompanied by the smoky grilled tofu and crispy tempura, it was a perfect combination of textures and flavors.

Let’s not forget the mouthwatering grilled chicken wings grilled eel that completed our feast. If you’re looking for a place with a cool vibe, top-notch food, and a great outdoor setting, make sure to check out Aira. KATANA Dinner! We had a feast at this place!! The place have a nice resto/bar vibe to it with some nice music playing in the background. We are also informed that the second floor can be rented for a karaoke session in a private room!!! Definitely worth trying! We ordered multiple different things from their menu. Wagyu Beef and Salmon Roe Stone Pot rice. The presentation looks amazing and the taste pops! the tenderness of the beef with the smooth and somewhat creaminess of the salmon roe really makes the dish special! Seafood hot pot with garlic the hotpot contains abalone and scallops along with glass noodles and vegetables! the taste is quite special as it has thre garlic taste but at the same time not too strong! Premium lobster skewer, the lobster is marinated nicely, it brings out the umami flavor and the freshness taste of the lobster! Grilled salted chicken thigh, the chicken is tender and flavorful! its not super salty, so just enough saltiness to make the chicken flavorful! Beef ribs, one of my favorite skewer of the night! its tender and have that strong beefy flavor. The skewer itself is also quite big! Japanese eel, the eel is one of the underrated dish of the night! the outside is cripsy with a soft inside meat. The eel is definitely one of top dish of the night too! Grilled Stingray fin, the fish is crispy, along with a special sauce provided on the side. It’s definitely a good combo to eat the two together! Saikyoki cod, the cod is tender and have that sweet flavor that is not too strong yet not too bland too!! an overall great dish!

A random dinner at a HK style “ice cafe”/“tea cafe” (冰室/茶餐廳) the other night. It was fairly busy and had lots of locals, which is usually a good sign 👍🏻 . 📍 Dragon City Cafe (龍城冰室) G/F, Way On Commercial Building, 500 Jaffe Rd, Causeway Bay . Let’s just say that its food is better than its environment. I mean it’s a HK style cafe, so don’t expect heaps in regard to ambiance/environment but the quality of the food and its value for money, is where these places show their strengths 💪🏻 . This one is part of a larger chain of hk style cafes, but it still delivers relatively good value for money and the food is pretty tasty too. I got the “Bbq pork & prawns in an egg style sauce on rice”. As you can see the portion size is pretty generous & there’s quiet a lot of pieces of the pork and prawns 👍🏻 . Wifey got a “Curry Beef brisket & tension with rice” - but i forgot to take a pic 😅 the flavour was pretty good, the only downside was that she got 95% tendon and 1 piece of brisket lol 😂

I still vividly remember how traumatised I was when I first heard of office relocation from Central to Taikoo, thinking there wouldn’t be much lunch choices. Little did I know back then that firstly I would hardly have lunch any more and secondly there are actually a lot of hidden gems in the hood. I recall asking a friend and then a colleague who are living in Taikoo which eatery they would recommend, and surprisingly they both said 紅館 (The Red Cuisine). The Red Cuisine is really a hole in the wall down a narrow alleyway that you would easily miss if you weren’t looking hard enough. Once located, you would see there are many newspaper clippings at the shop front, a testament that it was a widely publicised joint. And I agree that it rightly should be popular as the resto dishes out quality authentic Sichuan cuisine at sensible price points. Usually I would order their Chongqing spicy fish fillet potato noodle (重慶水煮（龍脷柳）薯粉) or their Sichuan Pepper Chicken 四川椒麻雞 with rice. Both the fish fillet and the chicken are tender and succulent, flavourful and with the right amount of kick. I would particularly commend the generous portion of fillet they offer. You cannot underestimate the amount of joy that a good chunk of fillet could give you! For the chicken, you would be wowed by the tiny mountain of scallions on top - Again, sheer joy! Definitely a place that I would repeatedly go on my cheat days! They do take outs too and they would even accommodate your request for a fresh chicken for the chicken dishes. Just give them one day advance notice will do 😊

Hungry Korean Causeway Bay branch has been here for years with queues all the time. Famous for its efficiency and Korean fast food. Was looking for a late filling lunch, I just went in seeing there were plenty of seats. It already fell into afternoon tea time which deals were good! Economical and covers variety options. We ordered spicy pork and soft tofu soup. Soft tofu soup was unexpectedly serving in a big sizzling pot. Broth was more on a runny side instead of some serving in thick. A mild spiciness came through with the kimchi flavour. Love that they also served pork slices for meaty flavour. Love the generous amount of silky soft tofu. Egg was still soft poached even sitting there for long. I might ask to omit the seafood given next time which tasted tough that I didn't finish it. Squash pieces were well cooked that soft and melt in mouth. Perfect to serve with rice. Spicy pork was again serving on a large sizzling rectangular hot plate. Piled up serving size. Pork was juicy and flavourful. Quite a 'wok' flavour because of the sizzling hot plate. Love that they also stir frying with tones amount of cabbages and carrots. Perfect to serve with rice once again. Korean fried dumplings were nothing special. Stuffed with shredded vegetables and vermicelli. Quite bland eating itself while serving with the dumpling sauce was a bit odd. It was on a greasy side but crispy. Slight tangy but spicy. I ended up dipping with my spicy tofu soup. Both me and my friend finished all without a doubt. Great that their air con was strong otherwise eating that hot food under the heat outside would be draining. The meal included a list of drink which we picked ice sweet barley malt tea. It was pretty sweet that couldnt taste much malt or barley flavour. All in all, definitely coming back for another Korean fast food.
