Want to try out this tiny spot in my neighbourhood for a while but some how managed to miss it always. Today is the day. Despite the seats, the place looks like a takeaway spot and that's what I gonna do. Ordered the 豬手菜飯 ($34). It comes with a 酸辣湯 which was complimentary. The meal box was enjoyable. Not only were there generous portion of Chinese cabbage in the rice, there were some lettuce beneath the pork knuckles. The veggie rice was the kind on the healthy side. It was not oily or dry. It was like what you would make at home.The knuckles were favourful, well marinated and tender. The fat under the skin have been cooked away. They are simply awesome. Not a big fan of sour and spicy soup but I managed to finish it. It is not bad.It is good value, whether for the money or not. (Btw, the portion is quite huge.) Will come back to try other takeaway items.
