原本2018年是跟朋友去倒數的, 但是最終未能成行,反而可以嘗試到一流的咖喱素菜,塞翁失馬,焉知非福。這間素菜店位於尖沙咀尖東站永安中心一樓,想不到慕名而來的人有很多,我們坐下之後,陸陸續續全場爆滿。對於印度素菜,我是一頭霧水的,所以委派了美女跟老闆問問有什麼好推介。Gobi Manchurian,這個有點像我們的咕嚕蝦球,他把西蘭花用炸漿炸起,再配上酸甜醬,非常有中國特色,如老闆推介,我們很喜歡。Pav Bhaji,這個是老闆特別推介飯前小食,他提供了一大碗蔬菜咖喱,外加一個烘底的餐包,網上查查,原來這個是印度街頭普遍的快餐小食。Mushroom Marsala Dosa,三角形的大脆餅,中間放了蘑菇marsala, 餅邊薄而脆,他還有兩款醬汁,可以沾來食,白色的像乳酪,黃色的帶點辣。如果唔點醬汁,好像食薯片一樣。Lemon Rice,送上來時上面塊薄餅。覺得很奇怪,但朋友告訴我,因為印度人用手食飯,所以,薄餅是用來盛飯的。當然最後我們沒有這樣用啦,而是把它沾了咖喱汁食用。Bhindi Masala,這個秋葵masala味道好特別,而且秋葵對健康非常之有益,如果你唔喜歡食辣,可以點這個不辣的咖喱。Pineapple Lassi,這個好像是新鮮菠蘿製成的,首選必推, 因為好有質感,而且好有菠蘿味,lassi可以解辣。朋友覺得太凍了所以叫點了Ginger Tea,一送上來我們都以為是奶茶,但是品嚐了一口再發覺係無奶只係顏色相似。冬天時,飲薑茶非常好,可以暖胃。再見了2018年,放下所有的開心與不開心,重新開始2019,願所有人都幸福滿載。滿分為10分(1分最低,10分最高)食物:9環境:9衛生:8服務:8價錢: 8舒適度:8總分:8.5 continue reading

今日咁啱同朋友去的尖東一帶,行咗去永安商場嗰邊,晨早流流肚餓又唔想食肉,咁就去咗食印度素食。我一入到去就去餐廳嘅裝修好有印度風。可惜我哋完全睇唔明個餐牌,唯有搵店長做少少推介。店長十分好人,原來我哋平時少食印度菜,所以推介左幾款印度特色食物俾我哋。第一款食物 Ser Peui $65呢款食物係我個人最鍾意嘅食物,面頭放咗碎麵、芫荽、甜醬、辣醬、蕃茄、薯仔等,而底下則放咗一塊塊嘅餅乾,感覺好似食緊細細嘅Pizza,味道上又甜又辣又酸,好過癮!第二款食物 Paneer Pakora $65呢款特色食物係餐牌上無架,店長特意想我地兩個試一試嘅小菜式,店長話呢一種係炸芝士,上菜嘅時候配上茄汁。內層既芝士其實感覺會似煎蛋版千層糕,口感幾特別。第三款食物 Tomato rice $65呢款飯主要係用番茄、 芫荽、青豆、洋蔥等製成,平時食開印度飯都好乾,呢款飯就濕d,食落口比平時更入味同更易入口。份量都幾大,我地兩個女仔唔係幾食得哂😂第四款食物 Uttappam platter (3pcs) $90口味有原味、番茄同洋蔥,附上兩款醬汁:椰汁醬、洋蔥醬、咖哩。同平時食開既naam有少少唔同,更冧同厚身,感覺似pancake但又無咁有麵粉味👍🏻特色飲品 Jal Jeera Lemon Soda $35呢種飲品未試過,亦都唔係個個接受到。材料係某種印度特色香料加蘇打水,味道似檸檬mix話梅,酸酸地帶點辣喉感,飲落幾過癮。印度食物文化真係好有特式,今次係一個好好嘅嘗試,深刻體會到食物既製作過程同來源。 continue reading

印度菜又係另外一個世界,所有字都唔食,就餅都有最少30種,真係要花啲時間研究吓。Woodland Special Thali 特色印度拼盤,Mor kuzhambu ,斯里蘭卡坦米爾菜式,裡面包括厚牛油奶,鱧魚,扁豆糊,冬瓜,秋葵同南瓜。係兩款無咁辣嘅咖喱其中之一款。Sooran,疣柄魔芋咖喱,用疣柄魔芋粒,椰奶,芥菜籽,鱧魚扁豆糊,咖喱葉,黑扁豆,辣豆湯粉做成,中度咸辣,疣柄魔芋粒幾脆幾爽口。Chana masala,咖哩茄汁鷹嘴豆瑪撒拉咖喱,裡面有洋蔥,番茄粒,食落好香口,中度咸辣。Dal 扁豆糊咖哩,Paneer Masala 奶油乳酪瑪撒拉咖喱,Baingan masala 茄子瑪撒拉咖喱,Special thali kheer 西米布甸,Vegetable Kurma 燉菜咖喱,Plain fried papad 黑扁豆粉餅,Vada 莢果薯圈,Poori 早餐酥皮餅,Mango Lassi 芒果香料酸奶,Butter milk 牛油奶。 continue reading

Woodlands has been around in Hong Kong since 1981, longer since I have been here.I heard of it when I asked for curry recommendations but I didn't really know my way round those days.In a way, I am glad I didn't try it earlier even though I have had countless of Indian meals because my knowledge of Indian food is better now.There has been a big change to Woodlands too, they have redesigned the restaurant and menu so diners get a fine experience.There was so much to choose from especially my favourite rices, they had tomato, coconut, yoghurt and even lemon rice.It was hard choosing a rice as lemon rice and yoghurt rice (curd rice) are my favourites.They even have JAIN curries to cater for people on a Jain Diet.The staff spoke good English so this place is expat friendly and they even have zero alcohol beer and zero alcohol wine per glass/bottle which can be ordered or you can buy them at Maharaja Mart.It is pretty amazing, you can get Zero alcohol Rose, Red and Whites!!Ended up ordering drinks as the selections were worth trying.They had pineapple lassi and my favourite Jal Jeera with soda.Pineapple lassi is a great option for people who do not like mango.Jal Jeera is just something I like because of the sourness and punchiness!For food, started on the Onion Rava Dosa which stayed crispy all the way through the meal and they serve it without oil which makes it healthy.The texture is similar to crispy French galettes and they taste tasty with or without the sambar.Next were the mains, the vegetable fried noodles were sooooooooooooooo delicious.They were soft and flavoured with lots of spices.Luckily they asked how spicy I wanted the noodles because I often forget they are spicy and end up not finishing it because it is too spicy.The lemon rice and the spinach mushroom curry were great together.Again the lemon rice is good on its own and I appreciate they used button mushrooms in the curry and not Asian Shitaake mushrooms.Will definitely be back again and it is now easier getting here as it is right near an MTR exit unlike the old days! continue reading
