從家中的郵箱收到百好酒家+百匯軒寄來的宣傳單張 (請看附件), 對百好的$1,888龍蝦乳豬全包宴非常有興趣, 所以打電話去百好酒家訂位.  在打電話訂位的時候, 已說清楚要訂宣傳單張的$1,888龍蝦乳豬全包宴, 因為訂的日子是星期日, 所以百好要求另收加一, 但也覺得可以接受, 在8月24日晚上6時30分到達北角城市花園的百好酒家.上菜的速度非常怏, 雖然次序都不跟菜單, 乳豬全體和波士頓的龍蝦(雖然是雪藏貨)都煮得不錯, 但那味紅燒鮑魚花膠生翅就太差了, 一條魚翅或粉絲也找不到, 只能勉強叫花膠魚肚羹.  但最差的不是這個花膠羹, 因宣傳單張上寫的是瑤柱海鮑螺片扒菜膽, 但上菜的時候就變成了鮑魚菇扒菜瞻.  因和家人一起用膳, 所以沒有即場投訴, 在第二天早上打電話去了解原因, 留下口訊.  到中午一位張姓經理打來解釋, 說廚房改了餐單, 但我問為什麼在上菜前不告之, 等客人可以有其他選擇, 因瑤柱海鮑螺片跟鮑魚菇的價錢相差很遠.  張經理可能知道是他們不對, 所以提議我下次到百好酒家用膳時, 會免費做回這道菜 - 瑤柱海鮑螺片扒菜膽給我, 但坦白說, 意義不大.雖然宣傳單張上寫得很清楚, "菜式如有更改或暫停, 恕不另行通告",但今次的經歷令我了解到廣告的威力, 同時亦希望大家看完宣傳單張後而決定幫襯某間酒樓前一定要了解清楚.這次是小弟第一次寫食評, 希望多多包涵.    continue reading

We went to the restaurant because of the name, and expected banquet food, which we got. They served excellent peking duck. They had proper service: carving the duck at the table and nice pancakes to go with it. The skin was perfectly crisp and they served the meat over broccoli. Other food came in generous portions, and all of it was delicious. We had mixed vegetables, "Fuk Kin" fried rice (fried rice topped with saucy vegetables and shrimp), and sweet and sour chicken. They have a lot of banquets/parties, while we were there a large group started Mandarin Karaoke. You could call ahead to make sure they aren't rented out.Excellent, well prepared variety of standard Chinese banquet food (duck, pig, goose, shark fin) and we spent 600 for 5 people and had plenty of left overs. It's on a Warf Road, next to a park, so it is relatively quiet but only 5 minutes from the MTR.  continue reading

交完旅費,一共4人去飲茶,老二推薦去她家附近的百好,百好地方不大,勝在光猛和坐得舒服,沒有大酒家的嘈雜聲。老二和老三都不是大食之人,數碟點心和一個飯已足夠。杞子桂花餻烟韌不太甜,叉燒包的餡料和醬都不錯,只是包皮較厚,其餘點心如蝦餃、素餃和牛肉腸味道算可口。最後吃的是木桶沙巴龍躉蒸飯,魚骨腩肉有很多件,令白飯都吸收了魚汁鮮味,以$68的價錢是相當便宜,後來發覺其他枱人客都有吃這個飯。 continue reading

同小B女慶祝生日, 近近地係北角百好酒家度訂左半席, 貪其空間夠大, 坐大廳都舒服。 燒乳豬: 皮薄卜卜脆, 肉味恰到好處。 上湯龍蝦伊麵: 好多切件龍蝦, 雖然d龍蝦唔算大隻, 但勝在蝦肉彈牙鮮甜, 伊麵又煙韍爽口。 清蒸海斑: 海斑新鮮兼嫩滑淡口, 但略嫌細條左。 翡翠花姿片带子: 口感及味道算中規中炬。 雞絲魚翅: 都食到少量翅仔架。 鮑汁燴靈菰: 賣相有點像鮑片, 鮑汁勁入味, 食落啖啖肉, 肉質爽脆。 脆皮燒雞: 雞肉嫩滑, 但外皮唔算脆口。 沙律蜜桃海鮮卷: 甜甜的風味很清爽, 又好香口啊。 荷葉飯: 鮮蝦代替蝦米, 饀料豐富。 仲有生果盤, 半打壽包及半打汽水添 埋單$1,088已包加一, 都咪話唔爽!!! continue reading

有位從小看到我大的uncle來港,原本都不打算去,後來媽媽叫我一起來,心想,很久沒見了,不如去見個面吧。對上一次見面應該都有十年了,時光飛逝,雖然時間不斷地走,但那份感情依然還在。我已經吃過晚飯才去,所以最後除了魚外,都打包回家了。平日我很少吃中菜的,不知道為什麼對中菜總是提不起勁。所以對於中菜什麼是好什麼不好,都不知道怎樣評好了。蒸魚時間較得很好;芝士龍蝦沒有芝士味,不過龍蝦肉質很好,非常彈牙,應該是很新鮮的,如果多點芝士味就好了;而那個炒菜很難吃,不知道給了什麼菜我們,很嚡。今次都不是志在吃,只是想見個面而已,大家聊聊天,幸好,餐廳營業時間很長,到1點半,我們都坐到很晚才走。現在租金高企,但酒樓裡只有數枱客,真不知道如何經營下去好了。是晚因為叫了酒,那支酒都4百多,所以這頓飯很貴的,要一千多,而且叫了龍蝦,如果只吃普通小菜,應該$150/人左右就可以了。可能因為我們張單很貴,所以叫他們送一盆水果也沒有推塘。 continue reading
