Last year I used to stop here for a savoury treat if I was hungry in Mong Kok but I stopped dropping in after they were absent from the menu for quite some time. 四月選的是芝士牛角,價錢親切得多。牛角上淋了一層凝固了的脆芝士,傾瀉出來的薄薄的芝士脆邊又香又脆口,香口程度絕不下於我至愛的Starbucks Croque Monsieur脆邊。牛角包半酥脆半麵包的口感,個人很喜歡。其實我並沒有特別鍾情於牛角包,不過離開時望着「流心牛」的海報,又叫人再次有點心動,最後竟然就連原本此行想試的玫瑰雪糕都完全忘得一乾二淨。

至於內餡,抹茶忌廉顏色較淡, 抹茶味單薄,雖然做不到回甘,但畢竟urban bakery不是間抹茶甜點專賣店,把urban拿來跟它們比較確實對urban有太苛刻了。Urban的抹茶忌廉打得綿滑細膩,而且小小的泡芺藏著這麽不成比例的忌廉餡。對小妹這個”忌廉怪”來說,urban 的泡芺絕對是收貨的了。

小結,小妹這次是為流奶黃金牛而來的,因此這篇食評的重心是會放重於流奶黃金牛之上。上次urban bakery的"菠蘿牛革命”評價已是好壞參半,未能為它帶來預期中的話題性。這次的流奶黃金牛食味亦只屬平平,流奶黃金牛和orginal,小妹還是會選回orginal,賣點是有的了,就是只差上implementation,小妹為此感到可惜。

革命尚未成功,同志仍需努力!

近來都有看World Cup嗎?睇波要食甚麼零食呢?我就食了在朗豪坊Urban Bakery買的波牛宵夜:菠蘿牛角包!放了幾個小時,回家再食,菠蘿皮仍然香脆,牛角包也十分鬆化,好好味!沒有負擔的感覺!(感覺啦!)

很少到旺角的我,因為要食少少野準備晚上的運動,二話不說就立刻想起urban bakery,老實說,我對這店的牛角包不大感興趣,反而覺得其他麵包非常好吃!來到的時候根本就沒有任何心水,一看到這個杏仁牛油圈就有一種我非要試你不可的感覺!買來立即試試,真的非常好味,外面非常的香脆,但內面又不會硬,非常濃烈的牛油香味!這個真是值得推介,一上再試!以$13一個那麼大份量的麵包來說,我覺得是合理的!

早已聽聞「菠蘿牛」,見今日報紙有介紹,lunch time立即去買個試試。玻璃櫃裡面的「菠蘿牛」疊埋一齊,賣相漂亮;望望價錢,嘩,$16/件,麵包來講完全是高檔消費。抱著一試心態,惟有奉上銀両...離開玻璃櫃,單一件的「菠蘿牛」賣相並不討好,主因面層的「菠蘿」似岩石的表層,沒有了牛角包脹卜卜的外型,有點趕客。第一啖咬落去「菠蘿牛」,的確卜卜脆,似食緊菠蘿包的感覺;加上內𥚃牛角包的質地,可謂外脆內軟。但... 牛角包那種烘燶的味道實在太強烈,與「菠蘿」表層的甜格格不入。另一方面,雖然「菠蘿」表層夠脆,但口感完全蓋過了牛角包的層次感。應該話,得個「脆」字,兩者根本不夾。「菠蘿包」始終是香港十分地道的食品,求其cross-over只會適得其反,勉強無幸福。這個包最詭異反而是個英文名字:「Ball Law Cowssant」-「Ball Law」直譯無問題,但後面夾硬加個字典都無的「Cowssant」想點?!要不直譯「菠蘿牛」三個字,又或者索性整個自創字,現在一半一半,好核突。

第一啖咬落去「菠蘿牛」,的確卜卜脆,似食緊菠蘿包的感覺;加上內𥚃牛角包的質地,可謂外脆內軟。但... 牛角包那種烘燶的味道實在太強烈,與「菠蘿」表層的甜格格不入。另一方面,雖然「菠蘿」表層夠脆,但口感完全蓋過了牛角包的層次感。

應該話,得個「脆」字,兩者根本不夾。

「菠蘿包」始終是香港十分地道的食品,求其cross-over只會適得其反,勉強無幸福。

這個包最詭異反而是個英文名字:「Ball Law Cowssant」-「Ball Law」直譯無問題,但後面夾硬加個字典都無的「Cowssant」想點?!要不直譯「菠蘿牛」三個字,又或者索性整個自創字,現在一半一半,好核突。
