Wanted very much to indulge myself in the privileged omakase dinner so I chose this restaurant with only 10 seats. This restaurant has the same address of a gallery which is just next door. It’s very easy to enter the wrong door. Maybe this is the owner’s intention to drive you to visit the gallery first. It’s a very small place with 8 seats at the bar table which was it from an original piece of wood of 300-year-old tree according to the chef. Two waitress and one chef at that night. They were nice and welcoming. The drink menu was shown on an iPad. The decoration was simple but delicate. Dried flowers hanging from ceiling. Behind the bar table was an original piece artwork by Yayoi Kusama in the 60s. Ok. Back to the food. I don’t know much of Japanese. It always looks so simple on the raw fish. But after this experience, I realized there could over ten procedures for a piece of sushi or sashimi. The sauce, the herbs etc. All the fresh seafood were fresh and yummy and just made right. They were served directly on the bar table and I had to eat with my fingers. They said this is ten traditional way to have sushi. It’s a total new experience for me and was nice. Let’s look at the photos of what I ate. In conclusion, I enjoyed the experience and the food very much but the price was just of an average omakase. continue reading

Come to this restaurant to celebrate my beloved’s birthday. Arrived on time at 8:30, we already got attracted by the decoration of the restaurant - a simple wooden table in which the Chiefs prepare the food in front of you.The first 4 dishes: truffles rice, 2 sashimi and abalone are already very good, while the upcoming sushi are just world class. They are served on the wooden table and you are requested to finish them by your own hand. Even for the dessert, the mochi was freshly made from a Kyoho Grape and it’s perfectly matched.It’s our first Omakase experience and we definitely love it! continue reading

予約晚上6:30,4人晚餐, 其他客人提早約15至20分鐘在門外等侯,一進餐廳,被漂亮裝修及長木枱吸引,算是非常寬敞,去過日本有米芝連星的Omakase,好幾間十分擠迫, 再翻查網上訪問,才知道長枱、櫈、掛畫、門口裝飾都一絲不苟。飯 比較乾身,有嚼勁,偏酸,是師傅用心調製,我們很喜歡,很能帶起魚的鮮味。由前菜到壽司到達水平, 每件壽司都用心加上小點綴,中間加一塊大葉/ 紫菜,口感味道又完全不同,以$1688 晚餐omakase 來說, 非常合理。甜品非常可口, 大部分Omakase 甜品可能是sobert / 水果/ 甜蛋, mochi 加 綠茶甜品非常美味。網上看過其他食客照片, 原來師傅會隨季節,用不同 葉/花裝飾。最後一提,兩位都是日藉師傅,老師傅能說廣東話、英語,年輕師傅能說英語。兩位工作認真,偶爾說說笑,加上有一位甜美日藉服務員,非常細心,知道家母不能喝綠茶,常為她添熱水。服務令人滿意。 continue reading

I booked the 6:30 session, me and my friend was 20 mins late because he lost his phone from last meeting place and had to go back to get it. After we arrived restaurant and sat down, waitress reminded us our session is till 8:30😒, then the Jap Chef started serving the course, onto our second course he said to us please eat, you need to finish by 8:30. Then I got very annoyed! My friend and I was not happy. The chef is so rude!Another 2 course he repeated that same message again!!! Then I give him big black face, and let him know we are not happy. By the time we finished around 8:30, I didn’t see any customers coming in who needs our seat, so we sat there till 9:15. Then I asked the waitress, you don’t have any 8:30 customer who needs our seat, why you had to rush us???She said this is company policy, and said imagine you are a walk in at 8:30, I am sure you want to have an available seat!!!! WTF😡😡😡😡😡This is the service you get for a $4,000 meal! If this is the speed we need to finish our meal, I might as well have went to a fast food joint!!!! I am not sure if it was the appalling service that affected my appetite or if genuinely their food is really nothing spectacular. I won’t recommend this omakase restaurant, so many other better ones in town! continue reading

We went there for my hubby’s birthday celebration. We both love Japanese and had tried many wonderful Japanese restaurants before. This is the best omakase we have had so far. Whilst the dishes may not be the most impressive (although still extremely delicious), the experience is so authentic, the setting is so exclusive and the presentation by head chef Kimijima-san is so exquisite - it was almost as we walked into a genuine sushi bar in Japan. We highly recommmend this and would definitely return in the near future. continue reading
