Their lunch sandwich sets listed on the menu are all so enticing, ticking all the boxes, with avocado, eel, truffle egg salad and toasted ciabatta. It looked great but underwhelming in taste, ciabatta is not up to my standard of toastiness, and the avocado is not ripe enough. To put all my fav individual component together doesn’t guarantee success, they just don’t quite come together.The mushroom medley ciabatta has the same issue with the bread, sautéed mushroom are fine but hey no one can actually get mushroom wrong.Overall a disappointing lunch even a nice flat white couldn’t redeem any points. It’s a good place for coffee, but can skip the food. continue reading

The Reason of Idea Start,常常要毋忘初衷。當初本住一個心去開始一件事,也要好好記住。現今香港有誰會肯花錢係歷史上,呢條小巷內呢間咖啡室,有一道牆,逾百年古董磚牆,店主願意保留而且好好處理實在唔容易。兩種口味嘅豆都分好,有一邊係honey rainbow,另一邊係nutty explosion。都有少量曲奇同小食可以叫,味道好似都唔錯,即叫即整。選擇坐係「bar」枱,flat white用銀碟上,好特別,令我諗起我家人。啡夠香,味道剛好,可以提神,好舒服。員工亦有略略介紹。我欣賞會肯保留有良知嘅店👍🏻 continue reading

Hidden in an alley behind The Center, you will find Trois Cafe (along with a few other shops), which has earned thumbs up from fellow Central Foodies. This cafe is somewhat hard to find, so not many people know about it. On this particular day, I tried their Crispy Chicken Ciabatta and Mocha (together, HKD100). I simply fell in love with the crispy chicken wrapped in toasted and buttered Ciabatta . The mocha was excellent as usual. Presentation and service were impeccable. Seats in the cafe are limited, so I would recommend any potential patrons to come alone or with a small company only. continue reading

近日在網絡上看到不少撰文推介, 今日吃完飯特意到訪。在午餐時份,坐無虛席,而且有不少食客在門外排隊。這家咖啡店除了供應咖啡以外,還有餅食和輕食。店子面積唔算大,是窄長形的佈局,由於剛吃過午餐,現在就單點咖啡吧。每款咖啡有兩種咖啡豆可選擇。Flat white $42這杯咖啡選擇了nutty 風味的咖啡豆。Flat white入口滑溜,隨之而來就是那一份深焙的咖啡味道,味道沉隱而帶一點堅果香,還有一點點咖啡的苦味。再吃一口蜜糖合桃,脆香甜美,很合拍。Cappuccino $42這杯cappuccino 選擇了花香味比較重的咖啡豆。cappuccino 泡沫豐富,而且咖啡中透著柑橘和花香,口感順滑而幽香。比flat White 的nutty 風味更為平易近人。這兒的咖啡不錯,尤其伴咖啡的合桃真好吃。可惜由於店子人來人往,太忙碌,比較難可以慢慢品味。作為quick coffee break 是十分稱職的。 continue reading
