漫遊西營盤,感覺跟充滿時尚名店的中環或銅鑼灣不同,這裡有很多特色的小店。Hanging out with girlfriend in Sai Ying Pun, where is different from Central or Causeway Bay with lots of luxury boutique. Here are lots of shops with unique characteristics here.進入餐廳的第一印象就像離開了香港,身處意大利村莊的一間小餐廳。整間餐廳一點也不奢華,向街有一面雕刻了圖案的玻璃窗是餐廳的打卡位。The first impression once entry this restaurant is leaving Hong Kong and having lunch a small in an Italian village. The whole restaurant is not luxurious at all, and there is a glass window with carved patterns facing the street that is instgramable.小店過去榮獲很多大大小小的獎項Thia shops won many awards. 這裡能夠品嚐到意大利地道口味的菜式,它的 Tagliatelle (面積較寬的長麵) ,外表有點像中式的河粉,但這麵條彈牙很多。Here you can taste authentic Italian dishes. Tagliatelle (longer noodles with a wider area) looks like Chinese Pho, but it is more elastic.麵條做得很出色,配的是新鮮牛肝菌及磨菇忌廉醬汁。Taste good, with fresh porcini and mushroom cream sauce.前菜我們選了吉樂餅,在意大利文中稱為「Crocchette」。將馬鈴薯煮軟弄成泥狀,並將各樣蔬菜配料混合後,揉成圓餅狀沾上少許麵粉後再裹上麵包糠以油炸烹調。For the appetizer, we selected "Crocchette" in Italian. Mixed potato puree and vegetables ingredients, knead it into a round cake, dip it in a little flour, and then wrap it in breadcrumbs to cook. 餐前的麵包已細心切開小塊,混和隨麵包配上的橄欖油,將橄欖的芬芳香氣和味道完全的誘發出來。Bread has been cut into small pieces and mixed with some olive oil. The fragrance and taste of olives is fully induced from the bread. 另外就是簡單又美味 的 Spaghetti vongole,是一道非常受義大利人歡迎的海鮮菜色。常見使用 spaghetti ,就是我們最熟悉的義大利麵條。這道菜式很有歷史了,變化作法也存在不少。最常見的有原汁(in bianco)和用小番茄調味(con pomodorini)兩種方式。L 較喜歡原汁版本,比較肥厚的vongole 原汁特別鮮美,不品嚐原味的話就可惜了。The other is simple and delicious Spaghetti vongole, a seafood dish is very popular in Italy. Spaghetti is commonly used, which is most familiar with. With a long history, and there are many changes in practice. The most common methods are the original juice (in bianco) and con pomodorini. L prefer the original version. The thicker vongole original taste is particularly delicious. I had visited “Trattoria Caffe Monteverdi” for dinner a few years ago. The dining experience was great but pricey. Therefore, I am not a frequent customer. Only after dining at its branch at Central in October, I planned to visit Sai Ying Pun shop again! And I finally did it in 2021😁.   之前我曾經係度食過晚飯,用餐體驗唔錯,但定價較貴,所以唔係成日幫襯。十月果陣去完中環分店食飯後,我就再次萌生去多次西營盤店嘅念頭!終於我喺2021年去咗食晏😆。Although SYP shop is much much smaller than Central branch, cosy environment is still available here! I like the candle light🕯, the flowers bucket and table mat.   雖然西營盤店比中環店細得多,但環境其實都幾舒服,裝修用上蠟燭燈🕯,花花同枱布等,帶點復古嘅感覺。Lunch set is provided even on weekends and prices are reasonable! A set includes soup or salad, main, drinks and dessert. There are 6 choices including pasta, fish and steak. But I was definitely up for pasta🍝.   餐廳假日都有提供午市套餐,價錢合理!套餐包括湯或沙律,主食、飲品同甜品。午餐有六款選擇,包括意粉、魚同牛等。不過嚟得呢度,我絕對係嚟食意粉🍝。Bread bucket 🍞 was immediately served after we got settled.   我哋坐低無耐,店員就隨即送上麵包籃🍞。Pumpkin soup was the 🎃 daily soup.   是日餐湯係南瓜湯🎃。Friendly staff offered us an additional salad 🥗 because he knew we shared meals.   店員好好人,知我哋Share食,仲送咗份沙律🥗比我哋。Linguine Boscaoila ($138/ lunch) with sausage, mushroom and cream sauce was our first pasta. At first glance, it looked like Aglio e Olio 👀. Linguine tasted creamy and nicely served with minced pork. We expected the taste of the next dish would be stronger than the linguine. Therefore, we chose to finish this pasta first.   佢係我哋點嘅第一道Pasta。麵條用上扁意粉,配料有肉碎、蘑菇同忌廉汁。意粉個樣睇落有啲似蒜香意粉🤔,不過實際上唔係。我哋預期佢應該會淡味過另一碟,所以決定食佢先!Chittara spaghetti with saffron cream sauce and shrimps ($220) was our second pasta. I always wanted to try this! Not surprisingly, both the pasta and sauce were good. Spaghetti alla chitarrra was a special one. Its texture was unique and I felt like steer-foam🤣. Little shrimps were added to make this not vegan food. I finally realised my wish to try this haha.   佢係我哋點嘅第二道pasta。呢碟嘅麵條比較特別,因為質感好彈牙,有啲似魚麵,又有啲似發泡膠🤣。重口味醬汁同意粉都好食,而且加咗啲蝦仔就令意粉冇咁單調。Panna cotta was the daily dessert. It never disappointed me 🍮.   是日甜品係🍮奶凍,口感超滑、超細軟,再次無令我失望。A coffee ☕ marked an end to my relaxing Sunday late lunch.   最後,飲埋咖啡就為休閒午餐畫上句號☕️。To conclude, I was more than happy to visit Monteverdi again. I really appreciate how chefs pair the pasta and sauce. In weekend, I came to an Italian restaurant at High Street of Sai Ying Pun (Hong Kong Island side). Trattoria Caffe Monteverdi was highly recommended by a friend who lives there. Generally speaking, the food is yummy yummy and the atmosphere makes ones comfortable.趁住weekend來到位於港島西營盤高街的意大利餐廳。Trattoria Caffe Monteverdi是住西營盤的朋友介紹,食物好,而且坐得舒適。We arrived at about noon, the restaurant is fully occupied. Fortunately there are still two seats available for us.這天中午來到,餐廳入座率已達九成,幸運地剛好有二人位置給我們。Although the restaurant is small, the interior decoration is simple and full of foreign style.餐廳不大,座位大概20個,內裡裝修簡約平實,但卻很有外國風情。✨Salmon SaladThe salad is fresh and a bit sweet. Addition of vinegar favors the appettite and very refreshing. Smoked salmon is soft in texture and full of salty flavor!沙律菜新鮮爽甜,黑醋酸甜開胃,十分清新。煙三文魚質感油潤,鹹鮮味十足!✨SoupThe pumpkin soup is rich ib ingredients, with a smoothy and sweet taste.南瓜湯足料,口感幼滑,味道清甜。✨BreadThe bread is very soft and spongy! It contains vanilla and wheat flavor.麵包非常鬆軟有彈性!帶點香草味,而且小麥味香濃。✨Chittara Spaghetti with Saffron Cream Sauce and Shrimps.In order to present authentic and traditional Italian dishes, the restaurant intentionally uses Italian ingredients, coupled with ancient methods to make homemade pasta. The spaghetti is excellent, the texture is elastic and quite strong egg flavor. The sauce is made of saffron, thick and creamy, and rich in milk flavor. In addition, the prawn meat is delicious, and the portion is quite large.餐廳為了呈現正宗傳統的意大利菜,特意用上意大利食材,再加上古法泡製,造出自家製的意大利麵。意大利麵條出色,質感彈牙,蛋味香濃。醬汁以番紅花製成,濃稠幼滑,而且奶味香濃。另外,蝦肉鮮味,份量也不少。✨VincisgrassiThe lasagna surface is golden grilled, charred and crispy. The lasagna is mixed with pork and beef. The meat is fragrant, the tomato sauce is sweet and sour and fresh, and the sauce is perfect which does not make the lasagna too wet or dry. The cheese is completely included.烤寬麵面層金黃,焦香脆脆,寬麵之間夾雜著豬肉牛肉,肉味香濃,蕃茄醬酸甜清新,而且醬汁份量適中,不會令到寬麵過濕或過乾,而且芝士完全融入當中,芝味濃!✨Panna CottaAn irresistible Italian classic dessert! 好友請我食生日飯,約我在高街等,在高街的街尾一直行向街頭,發現兩邊全都是美式,歐陸式的食肆,原來高街已經成為另一個蘇豪區,充滿異國風情,又有一個可以揾好嘢食嘅好去處。My friend invited me for a birthday meal and we waited on High Street in Kennedy Town. Walking towards the other end of the street, I discovered that it is filled with restaurants serving Western cuisines. Now High Street has become another SOHO, another venue for satisfying meals.My friend brought me to an Italian restaurant tonight. Its decor is simplistic and elegant, while its lights are dim and romantic. It feels like dining in a foreign country as customers are also foreign. I feel relaxed and delighted.今晚好友帶我來的是一間意大利餐廳,餐廳座位不多,佈置簡潔而高雅,燈光柔和又浪漫,客人多數是 外籍人士,感覺好像身處在外地,很輕鬆和開心。平時很少飲酒的我們,今晚也忍不住要飲番杯House Red & White Wine來慶祝一番, 紅酒充滿果香,易於入喉,白酒充滿白提子的清甜,有美酒和美食,So Chill!We ordered ourselves the house red and white wine to celebrate despite not having a habit of drinking. The red wine is fruity and smooth, while the white wine is crisp and sweet with the the hint of fresh grapes. We are chilling with fine wine and dine.自家製麵包十分鬆軟,亦有香草的味道,蘸意大利橄欖油已很滋味。The homemade bread is soft with smells of herbs. It is already delicious with Italian olive oil as dip.Fried Olives with Spinach & Mozzarella $160~外面炸得很鬆脆,裏面的橄欖蓉除了有橄欖的清香,還有菠菜和Mozzarella cheeze的香濃,好有特色的一道前菜小食。Fried Olives with Spinach & Mozzarella $160~The olives are crispy on the outside. The taste within is very special, with the mildness of olives infused with the creaminess of cheese.Chittara Spaghetti with Saffron Cream Sauce &Shrimps $220 ~這是餐廳其中一道Signature菜式,Chittara意粉我以前從未食過,麵質比較粗身,口感爽實而充滿彈性,富有光澤,每一條都沾滿醬汁和小麥的芳香。Chittara Spaghetti with Saffron Cream Sauce & Shrimps $220~This is the restaurant’s signature dish. I have never tried the thicker Chittara spaghetti, but it is tasty with the sauce, also with its own tase of wheat. It also has a firm texture.自家製醬汁以番紅花調製,獨特的味道加上奶味香濃,非常幼滑和creamy, 很出色! 配以細細隻的甜蝦仔,真是十分美味,令人回味無窮。The homemade sauce is made by Saffron. It is outstanding with its unique taste, also its creamy and smooth texture. Served with the pasta and shrimps, this dish is worth trying again.Hunter's Chicken $280~雞的肉質好滑嫩,肉汁豐富,配上蕃茄,蘑菇和橄欖醬汁也非常開胃和惹味。Hunter’s Chicken ~ $280Its meat is tender and juicy. It is especially appetising when served with tomatoes, mushrooms, and an olive sauce.Pannacott $120~奶凍口感又嫩又滑,甜度剛好,配上extra vigin橄欖油和九層塔,香氣四溢,提昇了整個奶凍的層次,好好味。Panna Cotta $120~It is silky with the appropriate sweetness. It is also topped with extra virgin olive oil and basil. The aroma synergies with the Panna Cotta itself, bringing the dessert into another level. 最近晚市無得堂食,唯有把握午市機會出去食好些,住西環的朋友向我推介了這間別緻的意大利菜,而且環境好靜,最啱weekend 輕鬆下食個好lunch。Due to anti-pandemic measures, we cannot dine outside these days, and lunch has become the only chance to eat well and decent at restaurants. My friend living nearby recommended me to go to this decent Italian restaurant.餐廳內的枱不算多,但好講究,會舖曬枱布,感覺如進了義大利高級餐廳。There’s only a few seats inside, so you can enjoy the meal in a quiet and cozy environment.點餐後店員會先上麵包,餐廳堅持源用義大利麵包整法同材料,食起上來外脆內軟,點上欖攬油更是滋味。They will first serve you with their traditional Italian bread, in which they preserved the tradition of using their own “mother yeast” and flour from ancient soft wheat, giving the bread a soft and bit fluffy texture (while crispy outside), and it perfectly matches with olive oil.而且店員還可以幫你refill的,食麵包都滿足。You can also ask them to refill the bread if needed.前菜和朋友各自點了salad和soup,沙律好fresh,而且撈了醋,帶出蔬菜的新鮮味道,還有好多蕃茄仔🤩 湯的texture好厚,好香南瓜味。My friend and I have ordered salad and soup as appetizer respectively. The salad is quite fresh with lots of cherry tomatoes and mixed with vinegar. We also enjoyed the pumpkin soup with thick texture.高質前菜只是點綴,主菜更有心思~In fact, the appetizers are just a prelude to the fine lunch.鍾意食意粉嘅我點了spaghetti  vongole(calms),全部用上新鮮的蜆,而切份量都多。這裡最特別的地方是全部都用上handmade pasta,口感好實在之餘軟硬度適中。As the restaurant is famous for its handmade pasta, have ordered spaghetti  vongole(calms). Lots of tasty, fresh calms were used, and the texture of handmade pasta feels different, with a bouncy and satisfying chewy texture. Really enjoyed such good taste!單是賣相已覺得這道菜非常吸引—Pan  fried  salmon  with cream  spinach  and  vegetables上碟的色彩配搭非常用心,而且三文魚好新鮮,肉質好嫩,下面的cream spinach更是精華所在,好creamy之餘不會有好膩的感覺,可以當湯咁飲。Pan fried salmon with cream spinach and vegetables look very attractive, with a mixture of colors, it’s really giving a good mood to us!Salmon was very fresh with soft texture, and we especially enjoyed the cream spinach underneath with rich texture , we even drank the creamy sauce.甜品係penne cotta,香滑得來甜度剛剛好,擺碟都非常有心思。The sweetness of penne cotta is fine, with a silky taste.如此高質的餐廳,怪不得獲獎無數!Maybe the above are the reasons why the restaurants have recieved numerous awards! continue reading
