雞泡魚乾,帶微溫,相當有質感,軟硬度適中,絕對是佐酒的最佳小吃。以沙拉醬作為雞泡魚乾的調味,蠻可口的。我們前後encore了兩三次。

蟹子沙律,常見的日式前菜,有別于一般食肆的蟹子沙律,這裡的蟹子比例很大哦~味道沒有很突出。

天婦羅蝦沙律,炸粉很薄很薄~這樣的天婦羅蝦眞的很棒,沙律菜又可以中和炸物自帶的油膩感。

看似是第一段的中拖羅,味清甜,魚肉入口已呈現半融化的狀態。我不太喜好吞拿魚的,也難得吃了不少。

蟹刺身,即劏即食刺身,肉質冰凍清甜,爽口彈牙,蘸蟹膏一併滑入口,那種味道和口感,確實非筆墨所能形容。

海膽拼吞拿魚蓉壽司,微暖的壽司飯拌有粒粒白芝麻,根據個人喜歡夾取適量的海膽和吞拿魚蓉,海膽新鮮,吞拿魚甘香,正~

辣味吞拿魚他他,第一啖,覺得係甘香肥美,第二啖,開始覺得肥厚膩人,但好彩略帶點辣味,balance了一下。

三文魚,可能時間相隔有點久了,不太記得這道三文魚了🙈 反正不會是很amazing的🤦🏿‍♀️

刺身拼盤裡面,能吸引我的就非池魚莫屬了。肉質結實爽口,略帶油香,味道鮮甜,值得回味。

牛油果軟殼蟹卷,為卷物中的常客,份量挺大的。

甜蝦拼牡丹蝦刺身,形容詞不用多,「食得出的鮮甜」足以概括~

就好像一般中式飲宴,到了中後階段,就會出現一些例牌,但不一定吸引的食物,就好比燒物。幸好送上來的牛舌, 雞軟骨, 蝦等都是精緻小巧之物,大家輕嚐細味。

然後,就是天婦羅。不外乎是秋葵, 蝦, 蕃薯等,不過不失。

餃子... 太飽了,沒有品嚐😅就只是📷食了。

醬燒和牛,略嫌燒得有點過火了~韌了點。

鱈魚油分多,魚味較薄,但如果是鱈魚骨的話,既能嚐到魚的甘香,吮吸著連著魚骨的骨髓,又不易感到膩。實屬佳之選~

帶隊的朋友為了能讓我們盡可能地嚐到更多不同的出品,明知我們個個都捧腹而行,還是給我們order了這款迷你超濃龍蝦湯拉麵。光看賣相就知道有多濃郁了,但個人略感稠了一點,鹹了一點...整體還不錯。

永遠不嫌多的,估計只有甜品和生果了😆甜品都是清爽的抹茶紅豆雪糕, 菠蘿雪葩, 檸檬雪葩,一個人ko掉全部都沒難度


生果 - 西瓜, 哈密瓜都是水份充足又解膩的水果,一旁還有些許椰果,伴碟之餘,還帶點口感。


有熟人帶路,所以服務特別好;但洗手間的環境則有待改善吖。

燒野菜,冬菇燒得略為乾身,無哂水分,比較失望。蘆筍比較好,未算乾身,都算可以。粟米得一塊我無試到,但朋友話都算甜。

另外我地重點左份牛油果軟殻蟹卷,但都無咩特別,所以無影到。甜品方面有生果同抺茶紅豆雪糕,好食到完全唔記得左影相。
如果下次有機會再光顧,我比較想試下佢地既原隻龍蝦湯烏冬。

The restaurant provides us an amuse bouche, with the tomatoes fleshy, ripe and not sour, plus not having some of the typical grassy taste which sometimes put people off. The dressing is nicely prepared, not to overwhelm the delicate tomato flavors but adding further dimensions to the taste.

We order Tuna Salad as starter, which is big in portion and good for maybe three to four people. The dressing is very good, bringing up our appetite with the right degree of sourness, and supplemented with plenty of tuna which has a mayonnaise dressing. With a crispy spring roll sheet on top to give a contrasting texture, this is a wonderful salad, simple yet tasty.

Then we have the Special Deluxe Sushi Combo, which got Toro, Unagi, Hamachi, Seared Grilled Salmon, Maguro, Amaebi, Uni, Spicy Tuna Crunch and Chopped Scallop Sushi, plus California and Dynamite Rolls. The portion again is very large and there are a total of 11 pieces and 2 rolls, easily filling one's belly and so I recommend you share with 2-3 people. The sushi overall are good, fresh and of the right size, and there is a twist for some contemporary elements also, Another dish I would recommend.

Next we have Assorted Tempura, with 3 prawns, green bell pepper, sweet potato and eggplant. A decent effort but a bit oily to me, as I am quite particular on tempura that they don't give a stain on the paper underneath. However, apart from that the taste, crispiness of the battar and the dipping sauce are all meeting my expectation.

The last dish we have is Kelp Grilled Seabass, which when served is a bit of a surprise to us, as I have the first impression that it is a cod from the look and texture of the flesh. I didn't bring this up to the restaurant however. The flavors are a bit too sweet for me, and I think it probably would be better to tune down the mayonnaise used to marinate the fish. Also, overall it was again a bit too oily for us.

Apart from the amuse bouche the restaurant also provided us with a fruit platter as dessert for free. The services are good, with the staff recommending us the right number of dishes, avoiding us over-ordering. Throughout the meal they come to pour tea repeatedly without us having to do it ourselves, even though the teapot is on our table.

The total bill on the night is $1254, without any beverages ordered. A bit on the pricey side, though I would recommend to try some of their sushi and salad. My overall rating is 63/100.

I booked a table a week ago and the restaurant called this morning to reconfirm.When I reached At the assigned time, not only was the table available, the manager was full of attitude! My guest and I were made to wait for 40 minutes at service counter, with no sign of any service till we had reminded the manager about 5 times of our presence in the restaurant .Don't think they'll ever get me in their shop again!!

fabulous food! we ordered the spicy toro tartare on lettuce, softshell crab and avocado roll and shrimp tempura. All phenomenal and reasonably priced. Hospitality is outstanding - edemame, tomato and fruits on the house were a lovely touch - all delicious too. top quality at a great price - just beyond brilliant!

去蘭桂芳食日本菜,相信不少人都即時想起,近起熱爆的俺の割烹。可是最近試了,不想重複。幸好,原來友人帶我到Tokio Joe,一間紮根蘭桂芳多年的日本菜。位置和門面都使其不太起眼,沒有舖天蓋地的宣傳,只是黙黙地靠實力,儲起一班忠實的擁躉。店內一遍昏暗,一旁是酒櫃和舉飲暢飲的吧枱,其他都是用餐的地方,還有可以欣賞壽司師傅刀功的吧枱。新鮮的大蕃茄加上黑醋和橄㰖油,還有炸得香脆入味的蒜片作調味。有好一段時間沒有吃枝豆了。最喜歡把豆夾放進口,感受那微微的咸味,再擠出枝豆,慢慢咀嚼。帶微溫的雞泡魚乾,很好吃。多吃幾塊覺得有點咸,可以沾點沙律醬,中和一下。Tofu & Sushi Combo Set套餐有冷豆腐和麵豉湯。冷豆腐很滑,豆味甚濃,麵豉湯味道剛好,不會太咸,但內裡的料不多,個人喜歡多海帶的。炸豆腐味道清新,一點都不油膩。大大件豆腐充滿黃豆味。壽司出色得有點驚訝。壽司飯偏細,滿佈醋香,黏黏的擠成一小件,以大大塊魚生蓋著。每一件都非常好吃,魚生入口即融。即使是紅色的吞拿魚,竟然也做到入口會融的效果。看著相片裡厚厚的拖羅,很想再次回味那豐盈的油脂香。海膽大份且鮮甜。辣味帶子也不錯,辣味中吃到帶子

壽司出色得有點驚訝。壽司飯偏細,滿佈醋香,黏黏的擠成一小件,以大大塊魚生蓋著。每一件都非常好吃,魚生入口即融。即使是紅色的吞拿魚,竟然也做到入口會融的效果。看著相片裡厚厚的拖羅,很想再次回味那豐盈的油脂香。海膽大份且鮮甜。辣味帶子也不錯,辣味中吃到帶子的鮮甜。還有Spicy sushi cake,以切碎的jalapeno帶出辣味,夾在壓成圓柱體的魚生碎中,特別又好味。另一樣很欣賞的是壽司的溫度,入口沒有涼或暖的感覺,真正的室溫。

相比散叫,200餘元的午餐都幾抵食,特別是刺身和壽司超高的質素。店員殷勤,讓食客賓至如歸。很想再去,在這裡讓我找到築地的感覺。

Husband and I decided on some late sushi while in LKF and decided to try out Tokio Joe.  my husband wasn't hungry so I did all the eating and no one pushed us to hurry in any way.

I got the Hana Chirashi Don which was all the right portions of tasty fresh fish and good quality wasabi.  I also got the sweet potato tempura which had a delicious snap (not soggy at all!).  Sparkly water on the side!

Great meal, not too expensive, around 500 for quite large portion, and comes with appetizer, miso soup, edamame, and fruit to finish. 

Would definitely come back!

友人請客訂了Tokio Joe,說常爆滿,訂位不易!一進場看到壽司吧後的師傅們就知道這裡不是我杯茶。待應和菜單全部英語對答,絕大部分顧客也是西方人。沙拉(不如一門)不論是蕃茄、吞那魚生菜、炸蝦生菜都是加些日式醋沙律汁便變成日本料理;壽司刻意偏小,明顯攻打女仕愛好,醋飯沒什麼壽司醋味估計是遷就西方食客口味(連千兩都不如),而且壽司是一盤上,沒什麼誠意可言,也不好吃也不難食,又點了串燒(不如南亭),又點了天婦羅(不如天扶良),又點了鹽燒魚頭(不如吉)…結論是:這種西人日本料理比較適合西人去!

When my order came, it was OBVIOUSLY a simple crab roe salad (a not v special hai jee salad). The fishcake, shrimp and avocado were nowhere to be found . So i informed the pregnant waiter, at first, she told me like i was an idiot that: "the shrimp etc are mixed into the salad"

Reluctantly, like educating a kindergarten child, I had to take the salad apart n show her that there was no shrimp! no fishcake! and no avocado! She was finalllly convinced, and brought the salad bk to the FeiJai cook on the far left of the Sushi bar when u enter the place...

The WORST possible response he gave bk to the waiter who told him abt the missing ingredients was "Hai gum ga laa" and directed the waiter to return the salad.
Not wanting to fuss on a pleasant fri. lunch..... i simply canceled my order.

That so-called cook def. did a gd job at making me look down on him!

I mean I'd still go back, and I've liked to dine at Tokio Joe despite the smelly oil stench on ur clothes every time after u dine there.....but seriously his behavior should not be left unnoticed...whatever, just don't order Joe's Special Salad, it's not special, n it only has 2 out of the 6 ingredients it says it has.
