There was just so much wrong with our experience at this particular Tim Ho Wan branch. We’ve been to two others and they were always efficient and respectful. This particular one was horrid- hands down one of the worst service experience I’ve had in Hong Kong. The wait staff were incredibly disrespectful and down right rude. Just lining up, the staff spoke to us in an incredibly condescending manner. When we were finally sat, our table did not have a tea carafe like every other table. We politely asked three times for tea- literally to the wait staffs’ faces and were ignored. An obviously foreign table sat beside us and were immediately given water.

We also overheard one waitstaff calling two seemingly foreign girls- one who was on the larger side, a “wet nurse” in Cantonese as an insult.

There were multiple instances where the wait staff would mutter insults or complaints about tables immediately after interacting with them.

When two girls were sat next to us, they also asked for tea and at this point we had moved the carafe onto our side because we assumed every table had their own carafe and the wait staff rudely points out that we had moved the carafe onto our side- implying we were hogging it.

Food took longer to arrive at our table than other branches and honestly, the quality of the food was not worth the price. You could get better quality dim sum and service for half the price at other establishments in Hong Kong.

Other Info. : Would say it's OK for lunch on the desk but i wouldn't return for proper lunch since it's quite out of the way, unless I have time before jumping on the Airport Express.

頂著米芝蓮一星的光環,不容錯過的點心店。其實在香港也有幾家分店,這家在商場裡,雖然叫做IFC店,但實際上並不在IFC主樓裡,相當難找。直正的位置在中環港鐵香港站L1樓,找不到建議問問路。今天帶國內朋友去的時候,排隊大概有三十多個人,排了一小時,因為太受歡迎所以人多,桌子都很小比較迫,不過旁邊的朋友卻吃得很開心,說很有港味。酥皮叉燒包真的名副其實,甜鹹的叉燒餡搭配口感非常好。排骨和之前在深水埗吃過的一樣好吃蝦餃餡料多,蝦仁彈牙 鳳爪 鮮蝦燒賣也是不錯添好運算米芝蓮一星餐廳中最平價,三個人吃了一百多不到兩百塊,也吃飽了。

Since its lazy afternoon my husband and I went to Ifc to check where we can have some late afternoon snacks. We saw Tim Ho wan and the line is not that long so we decided to eat some dimsum. From all the food we ordered the only food we liked are the fried bbq pork bun and the fried bean curd with prawn the rest is disappointing. Siomai is really not good and steam spareribs, I highly don’t recommend to eat this its very bland taste. Hagao is just okay and the beef noodles. The food I can spare it but the one that is really poor is the service. I understand they are maximizing the seat but not to the extent giving a table that is only good for 4 people but forcing to fit 6 poeple to sit, this is what they did to the table next to us so after the long wait to seat the guest next to us didn’t take the table and I noticed they have 6 tables that are not occupied but they dont want to use it so whats the point? I dont get it. Another two group consists of 3 people forcing to take the table that is only suitable for 2 people and again they loss the customer. Giving service like this is very unacceptable. I don’t recommend this restaurant especially if you are big groups or family with kids. There are so many good restaurant in IFC where you can eat with good food and excellent service.

The new shops are not the same as the old one anymore. The famous shrimp dumpling doesn’t give the same quality as they have changed the ingredients. The shrimp is not firm and using lower quality one. The skin of the dumpling doesn’t give the same chewy texture. The experience eating the shrimp should give you a good contrast of chewy dumpling skin, biting into it gives you a firm, fresh shrimp taste from sea. All gone. There are many more dim sum restaurant in Hong Kong taste better than this

週末常常出來透透氣,逛一下IFC,順便就來吃這家點心出名的添好運,他們家的酥皮叉燒包,我自認為是世界上最好的叉燒包,酥皮鬆脆裡面的叉燒醬汁濃郁 半肥瘦的叉燒粒粒飽滿,一口咬下去,叉燒的肉香、酥皮的奶香層次感爆表,讓你百吃不厭,還有蝦餃,簡直是廣式點心的殿堂級精品皮薄蝦話,新鮮彈牙,人間美食!
