THE WHITE HOUSE

The White House，店如其名，店內裝潢以純白風為主調，白色的吊燈、白色的餐桌、透明的座椅，簡簡單單的以植物及乾花做裝飾。餐牌內容以iPad顯示，沒有紙本menu，點了份量足夠二人享用的Signature Menu ($988)。Starter可選兩款，先來的Homemade Crab Cakes (自家製蟹餅)，雖然蟹肉餅的賣相普通，也沒什麼擺盤可言，但內裡可嚐到一絲絲的蟹肉。Bone Marrow with Bread，牛骨髓充滿油脂香，烤過的牛骨髓味道微微鹹香。將骨髓精華伴麵包一起吃，牛脂香而不膩，邪惡感稍微減退。如麵包改為香脆多士，應該會更惹味。主菜同樣可選兩款，Tagliatelle with Sea Urchins (意大利蛋麵配海膽刺身)，麵的份量不多，面層卻鋪滿了一片片的海膽與三文魚子。海膽與三文魚子都好鮮味，惟麵條的口感偏軟稔。聽老闆分享，知道是有食客認為麵條過硬，所以才煮得稔一些。可惜西餐不會像日式拉麵一樣可選喜好的軟硬度。Australian M7 Rib-eye (澳洲M7和牛肉眼扒)，需要另加$148，肉眼扒好大塊，肉味濃，富肉汁又夠軟稔。可自行添加醬汁，不怕肉香被醬汁所掩蓋。Apple Crumble Cheesecake (蘋果金寶芝士蛋糕)，蘋果金寶吃過不少，但製成芝士蛋糕的食法卻是第一次試。芝士蛋糕的面層脆脆，內餡夾雜香甜蘋果蓉，蘋果與芝士的味道很夾。Lemon Cheesecake (檸檬芝士蛋糕) 味道清新，甜度恰好，以兩件美味的芝士蛋糕作結，感覺圓滿。這次於平日晚上到店，店內沒什麼顧客，老闆熱情的與我們聊天，是小店才有的氛圍。…Read More

同事話呢間好食，所以帶週末帶阿媽嚟試吓。因為有大玻璃對街，所以natural night 充分，環境舒適。餐廳標榜現代地中海菜。前菜試咗homemade crab cake，escargot，baked grapes 和 French quiche。以為baked grapes係甜品，但係原來係前菜，好特別。French quiche 係用咗三文魚所以好香好好食。主菜叫咗red prawn linguine，lobster risotto 和 baked Turkish sea bass。Risotto 嘅飯煮到risotto飯應有嘅軟硬適中。Baked Turkish sea bass 原來係全條，肉質水份充足，好鮮味，佩上土耳其乳酪醬係絕配。甜品試咗Russian honey cake 和 Turkish pistachio coffee (with baklava).  Russian honey cake 上加了少少rum洒，真係唔同啲。Turkish pistachio coffee 冇傳統Turkish coffee咁苦，值得一試。總結 - 食物和甜品都有水準。…Read More

最近經過炮台山，同朋友俾一間白雪雪嘅鋪頭吸引左入去。。。太有驚喜，忍唔住要寫寫食評。見到餐牌心大心細，唔知食乜好，老闆知道我同朋友細食，介紹咗Pan-fried Norway Salmon Fillet with Provence Ratatouille 同 Dry Aged Rump Cap 俾我哋試吓。三文魚比我想像中好食，一來夠厚身，二來肉質好滑，唔會嚡口，連配菜都好好味，岩晒要減肥嘅我。一見到碟Dry Aged Rump Cap 上枱，心諗會唔會太紅… 好似好生咁…食左一啖就俾佢征服咗… 好好味呀，同朋友一人一半，連配菜都唔放過。好有肉味，又唔會靭，醬汁配搭得好好，可以再 encore。食飽飽之後，見到隔離枱叫咗罐嘢飲，個罐好靚，問吓老闆，原來設計係介紹佢係大澳嘅另一間鋪，呢罐係 Passion Fruit Rosa。正，我最鐘意飲酒，唔錯!!!朋友就試左杯 Cardamon Turkish Coffee with Baklava，剩係見到套杯已經覺得好靚，土耳其嘅無咖啡因咖啡，再配搭埋都係來自土耳其嘅開心果酥，好吸引! 老闆話飲完仲可以占卜㗎，下次我都要試吓。今次亂打亂撞，竟然試到間好嘢。食物質素高，下次想再試其他菜式，除左咖啡，仲有酒飲，正!!! 最重要係無限時，可以有一個地方同朋友慢慢吹水，傾到唔捨得走。…Read More

During a recent stroll through Fortress Hill, I stumbled upon The White House, a charming restaurant that caught my eye with its elegant decor and inviting food photographs displayed at the entrance. Intrigued, I decided to step inside for a meal.I ordered the Australian M7 Wagyu Ribeye Steak, cooked medium. The steak was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of juiciness and tenderness. The seasoning was well-balanced, enhancing the flavors of the meat without overpowering it. Each bite was a delightful experience, showcasing the quality of the steak itself.One of the highlights of my visit was the presence of a cute red-whiskered bulbul in the restaurant. This littie cutie added a unique touch to the atmosphere.Despite its appealing ambiance and delicious food, I noticed that the restaurant wasn't very busy during my visit. However, in conversation with the owner, I learned that they are genuinely passionate about their business and are committed to providing a great dining experience for their customers.
