星期六想去啲chill 既地方輕鬆一下行行下就黎到呢間位於鯉景灣近海旁既餐廳呢邊既餐廳望落都坐得好舒服,好開揚,半開放,秋天坐近門口影下相就最岩了。故名思意,呢間餐廳係食 🐷,豬手由其出名。入得黎食,10居其9 都一定會叫一份德國豬手。一份豬手,2個人食。除左豬手,仲有薯仔,焗得好好味。結賬既時候有個小驚喜,原來疫情期間佢地做緊優惠,填小小資料做會員就即時開到張discount card,一年內係佢旗下既餐廳叫a la cart 食物就會有85折,呢餐無啦啦就85折左。折左之後好抵呀,好吸引,想快啲再黎。 continue reading

Summary: Great lunch deal, although I think food could be better. Great atmosphere.The Goods: As above, the lunch deal is pretty decent, and reasonably priced.The Bads: I think food could be better, at this price point (see below).Damage: We (2 persons) paid HK$329 (including SC) for lunch set. There are other options for lunch set ranging from low HK$110 to 180 plus 10% SC. What we ordered: As mentioned above, we went with the lunch deal (weekday - I think they don't have the same deal for weekend). I always wanted to try out their German style pork knuckle, so we ordered that for 2 persons (only that option so we can't do any other mains). We picked Parma ham & cantaloupe, and beetroot salad for appetizers. The set also comes with dessert, and tea or coffee (we ordered black coffee and iced tea).Before I go into dish-by-dish review. I will make a note that looking around, this place is very crowded on Wednesday lunch. Perhaps it's the Wednesday before long weekend (Thu - Sun) so that's almost like a Friday. The place is spacious, and having sit next to the sea, it's quite breezy. Looking at my neighbours, I see quite a few people also ordered pork knuckle (and they left out a few potato, read below to see why), some burger, and some steak. The steak also looks nice, but burger not so much.The Parma ham & cantaloupe is alright, although I think it's a bit underwhelming. The Parma is not tasty, however at their defence it's pretty good for the pricing. Cantaloupe is a bit too ripe in my opinion.Beetroot salad is surprisingly the recommended dish here. Not that it's super good but I normally don't like both salad and beetroot. However, I think the dressing is quite well done here. Nice salad mix too, not just cheap filler (there are some, but good enough).Our main is the German style pork knuckle. I think it's overall good, but could be better. The good points are 1) pork is well seasoned (very tasty), 2) carrot is very well made too - sweet and nicely charred, and 3) they pre-cut the meat for us, which is a nice touch really. Things that can be improved (note that I didn't say it's "bad") are 1) skin can be crispier; to be completely clear it's not tough, just not as crispy as I hope, 2) although pork and carrot are very nicely seasoned, potato is quite disappointing; it's too dry and a bit tasteless (was expect a bit of sweetness or saltiness but not really), and 3) my personal view is that the "creamy" mustard seed sauce is a bit much; pork knuckle is already fatty and adding cream (if I have to guess it's either gravy or just butter) makes it too rich - we ended up asking for ketchup. All in all really, it's still ok. I would go back, with the lunch deal though. continue reading

純粹路經沙田,在考慮回家的路程上,於新城市廣場找間有酒飲的西餐廳...那就是「the salted pig」在疫情下,樓面的職員少了,而她就是唯一的full time職員,或者老闆真的是有眼光獨到,只留她在。 雖然她有點吃力要顧全場..樓面/吧枱都要做...但卻教我這個無心插柳路過的食客,忍不住公開讚揚,我們感受到她在冷酷的疫情,給我們的一點暖。先來個抱歉,我並非相機食先的人,簡單地點了1)前菜:白酒煮青口配薯條,雖然較細隻,但它的嫩滑感,暗暗稱讚2)主菜:脆皮乳豬,薄皮脆口質感,配肉汁一流的豬身,一試...想再試3)甜品:朱古力心太軟配雲尼拿雪糕4)酒鬼的我們:draft beer及一支白酒她的窩心,是服務性行業能令客人再次返來的最大動力:例如她說:「半隻乳豬太多了」、「幫你們先上青口,乳豬後上」「支白酒雪唔切,為你們加鹽在冰水,可加快冰凍效果」或者這只是微不足道的,卻令我們兩口子,吃了一餐滿意暖心的晚餐。真的多謝你....Sonia我忍不住離開前問你什麼名字,希望你的老闆能賞識你吧 continue reading
